At 麻豆原创 Sapphire in Orlando, Laura Dean, digital adoption and training lead at TUI, shared the company’s success in streamlining its HR processes in 麻豆原创 SuccessFactors solutions with WalkMe.

TUI implemented eight years ago, and now the company鈥檚 over 41,000 employees use various 麻豆原创 SuccessFactors solutions for performance management, talent management, learning, HR data management, and more. “With so many capabilities and so many employees, as you can imagine, it’s a steep learning curve for our employees,” Dean said. This is where TUI turned to to help standardize and automate its HR processes for an improved employee experience and increased efficiency.

Benefits for the business and employees

TUI faced three main challenges when it came to HR processes, Dean explained: employees struggled to learn new systems, legacy training approaches were expensive and difficult to maintain, and time-consuming HR tasks were impacting overall business operations. “We needed something that was going to bring us into the future but that could support the organization as well,” Dean said. The solution also needed to be available 24/7 and in multiple languages to effectively support TUI鈥檚 global employee base, which includes flight attendants, pilots, travel agents, and other seasonal roles.

TUI implemented WalkMe to help employees navigate the company鈥檚 HR processes more easily and efficiently as well as aid HR staff members. With WalkMe analytics, TUI can identify where users have challenges in existing processes and then build WalkMe solutions to create personalized and automated experiences to help mitigate those challenges. For employees, this can mean the software feels easier to use; for HR staff and the business, it can lead to fewer employee and manager errors and faster time-to-value for 麻豆原创 SuccessFactors solutions.

Support your employees in the flow of work with WalkMe solutions

Dean described how WalkMe automation helped simplify TUI鈥檚 onboarding processes for new employees by automatically assigning e-mail addresses in the 麻豆原创 SuccessFactors system during the hiring process to reduce login issues on an employee鈥檚 first day. This not only improved the new hire experience, it also saved HR teams time and proactively addressed any errors.      

TUI also simplified the time-off request process for HR staff and employees.    

“We set up a process whereby if somebody is booking sick leave and they have annual leave at the same time, WalkMe will intercept them. It will say 鈥榊ou鈥檝e actually got holiday at the same time so we need you to cancel that holiday and put it through as sick time,鈥” Dean said. 鈥淲hat that means then for us is that we’ve got less questions going to HR, less tickets being raised, and more people following the actual process for their region.鈥

The data speaks volumes

WalkMe analytics can offer visibility into what software is being used and how. With this insight, companies can identify opportunities for improved efficiency and deploy in-app guidance and automations to address specific points in processes. “One of the real benefits of WalkMe is how the data that is available helps us make decisions around how we support employees and how we build digital adoption solutions for our employees,鈥 Dean said. 鈥淲e’ve focused a lot on the data that’s within the annual employee process and how our users are actually using their system currently.”

Analyzing aggregated annual employee form process data collected by WalkMe over 90 days, Dean saw that HR completed the process with no errors 70% of the time, completed the process with some errors 5% of the time, and did not complete the process 23% of the time. Even more, Dean could see where the errors were occurring and where users who didn’t complete the form were getting stuck. Based on this data, Dean used WalkMe to highlight the most-missed fields on the form, reminding users to complete them before moving on. “If 5% of the time they don鈥檛 know that information, I need to do something when they get here to say, 鈥楶lease make sure you have this information before you carry on.鈥 So, I鈥檓 telling them in advance they need to have that, which I can do with WalkMe,鈥 she said.

When asked how easy the analytics dashboards are to build, Dean explained that WalkMe gathers all the forms automatically so there’s no need to build anything additional. With WalkMe flow analytics, you set up the process step-by-step and then the report collects data over time. “It’s super quick and easy. With UI intelligence you get an out-of-the-box set of insights that shows usage of forms in the system. It shows me where people stop and start processing and points of friction,” she said.

Self-service employees

TUI鈥檚 brand purpose to 鈥渃reate the moments that make life richer鈥 not only applies to its customers, but extends to its employee base as well. With the help of WalkMe and 麻豆原创 SuccessFactors solutions, TUI has certainly succeeded in enriching and empowering HR and end users.

“What we’ve been able to see is 80% higher employee self-efficiency,鈥 Dean said. 鈥淪o the good news is they don’t need to contact their local support team because actually what they can do is go into our WalkMe menu and search for any of the content, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, across six different languages.鈥 TUI has also experienced 70% less time spent on training, a 40% increase in task completion, and 50% fewer support calls with the help of WalkMe.

For Dean herself, WalkMe has enhanced her role as a trainer: “It actually supports me to do that change management piece within my organization. It supports me to educate and enable our end users without me having to be available and fly all around the world.”

Our UI has continuously evolved to meet the needs of 麻豆原创 customers. Now, 麻豆原创 Business AI with Joule and natural language redefines the end user鈥檚 experience.

Joule is solidifying its role as 麻豆原创’s new UI, transforming how customers work and interact with our software through natural language — whether on the web, mobile, or in different languages. This way, the end user can ask questions in natural language, and Joule does the hard work in the system to find information or answer.

Joule is already one click away in every 麻豆原创 application, but we also understand that customers store data across non-麻豆原创 systems, which should not prevent it from helping users. Joule cannot operate in a vacuum if it is going to offer real business value. That is why we are now expanding Joule to any application so that customers can access everything, everywhere, with the help of WalkMe.

Joule is breaking free to become omnipresent and accessible across non-麻豆原创 applications with the 麻豆原创 Joule action bar supercharged by WalkMe. This integration expands Joule’s reach beyond , so it is always right by our customers’ side, giving Joule the “eyes, legs, and arms” to see what customers see.

At 麻豆原创 Sapphire, we elevated Joule again with help from 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud and 麻豆原创 Knowledge Graph, and a new collaboration with , an industry-leading company in the field of unstructured data.

麻豆原创 and Perplexity, an AI-powered answer engine that provides accurate, trusted, and real-time answers to any question, are collaborating to extend 麻豆原创’s generative AI and search capabilities by bringing together the best of both worlds in unstructured and structured data. By integrating Perplexity’s ability to address questions accurately and transparently with 麻豆原创鈥檚 business answer capabilities, we are bringing both worlds together: the power of Joule to answer business questions, and the power of Perplexity to understand what鈥檚 happening in the world.

Together with 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud, 麻豆原创 Knowledge Graph, and our integration with Perplexity, Joule can now seamlessly combine internal business data with real-world insights. Whether data is structured or unstructured, from systems or the broader web, Joule brings it all together, delivering intelligent answers in real time. .

Joule Agents: reason and act

Insight to action is a key principle of enterprise software. Businesses can access incredible insights by analyzing data, which they can use to arrive at conclusions before making a decision. Joule makes getting these insights through natural language simple. Now, Joule Agents can reason to fulfill the action part of the equation with other agents. This ability marks a paradigm shift in enterprise software that helps customers go from insight to action to reason and act with AI.

Joule Agents can reason and coordinate to autonomously execute tasks through multi-step, self-conceived workflows while always involving a human.

Envision an environmental health and safety agent assessing a new chemical entering a plant: This agent could ensure that inventory is not stored near reactive chemicals and then could consult with HR to verify that staff are qualified before recommending appropriate protective equipment. Additionally, the all-new accruals agent for finance reduces today鈥檚 manual work by 90 percent. This agent learns a customer’s accounting rules and then, using financial data, can propose the right accruals during financial close.

In this sense, as much as Joule is the new UI for AI, Joule Agents are reimagining the business process layer across 麻豆原创 Business Suite in an AI-native way. 

AI agent hub in 麻豆原创 LeanIX

As the number of agents across 麻豆原创 and third-party vendors grows, customers will need a way to discover agents and then govern and control what they do. This is precisely the role of the AI agent hub in 麻豆原创 LeanIX solutions: It offers a governance and control framework to manage all these agents.

Because 麻豆原创 LeanIX already knows our customers’ enterprise landscape, it can map every available AI agent to the business capability or process step it supports. This framework helps customers spot automation gaps and discover new AI agents to fill them. Tracking governance for each agent means customers can, for example, make sure agents meet ethical and compliance standards.

The AI agent hub in 麻豆原创 LeanIX will be generally available in the fourth quarter of 2025.

麻豆原创, NEURA Robotics, and NVIDIA

麻豆原创 announced a collaboration with NEURA Robotics and NVIDIA, unveiling a new era where 麻豆原创 Business AI moves to the physical world.

Through this collaboration, Joule Agents connect enterprise data and processes with NEURA鈥檚 advanced cognitive robots, ranging from mobile autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to humanoids, empowering businesses to automate real-world tasks such as adaptive manufacturing, autonomous replenishment, compliance monitoring, and predictive maintenance. The Mega NVIDIA Omniverse Blueprint plays a crucial role, enabling enterprises to validate and optimize robotic fleets in digital twins before deploying them on the shop floor or in the warehouse, thus ensuring safety, efficiency, and rapid scaling.

AI Foundation: the AI operating system business AI

We knew from the outset that Joule and Joule Agents needed a strong operating system. That is what 麻豆原创’s on 麻豆原创 BTP, our operating system for AI, now offers customers. AI Foundation gives developers a centralized set of tools to build, extend, and run custom AI solutions and agents at scale, all accessible via one entry point. AI Foundation already had more than 90 capabilities, and at 麻豆原创 Sapphire, we introduced over 60 more, such as AI Agent runtime, a brand-new AI evaluation service.

AI Foundation accelerates AI development by bringing together 麻豆原创 Business AI solutions such as generative AI hub, Joule Studio, 麻豆原创 Document AI, and 麻豆原创 Knowledge Graph. Centralizing and simplifying AI operations also reduces the total cost of ownership.

麻豆原创 Knowledge Graph gives Joule and Joule Agents more accuracy and context. It grounds AI in a customer’s business context and exposes metadata that makes the relationships between information accessible. This way, for example, an agent working on a customer service ticket knows the relationships between products and purchase orders. Initial support for the and solutions is expected to be generally available by the third quarter of 2025.

Other 麻豆原创 Business AI solutions are also getting new enhancements. For example, Joule Studio, which helps developers create custom AI, will get a new skill builder capability to help developers create custom skills for Joule. We are also adding an agent builder capability that allows developers to create custom AI agents using low-code and no-code capabilities. General availability is planned for the third quarter and fourth quarter of 2025, respectively.

AI Foundation offers the latest AI models, including GPT-4.1, Claude 3.7 Sonnet, and, most recently, Gemini 2.5 Pro. Customers can select from a range of self-hosted models on 麻豆原创’s GPU infrastructure, such as Mistral AI, Cohere, or Meta model families for more sovereignty and control. Customers can also pick from best-in-class, industry-specific models created by our partners. One example is Deloitte, which brings its unique finance and tax experience to the AI Foundation with Zora AI.

Deloitte plans to integrate Zora AI with 麻豆原创 Business AI, enabling customers to create intelligent digital workforces powered by agentic AI. Using 麻豆原创 BTP, Zora AI offers a suite of preconfigured agents capable of autonomously performing complex business tasks with precision and speed. When paired with 麻豆原创’s robust enterprise capabilities, and enhanced by the data access in 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud, Zora AI has the potential to transform how work gets done, helping customers unlock the full value of agentic AI. .

All these models deliver incredible results when the prompts are carefully designed. But herein lies a significant challenge: Once our customers are committed to a specific model, it can be difficult to change, as even subtle model updates can break carefully tuned prompts. That is why we worked hard to eliminate prompt engineering.

Prompt engineering is dead

Prompt engineering is dead; say hi to benchmark engineering. Prompt engineering requires customers to learn how to “talk” to the AI so it can effectively leverage its knowledge and capabilities to meet their specific needs. This process was manual and cost-intensive; above all else, it made it tedious and slow to change models.

I am excited to introduce 麻豆原创’s prompt optimizer, designed collaboratively with , a frontier AI lab renowned for its model-agnostic approach. Prompt optimizer is a capability of the generative AI hub in AI Foundation.

Switching models and optimizing prompts is time-consuming — it can take an organization days to migrate a single use case from one model to another — but it shouldn’t be. We wanted to tackle that challenge because customers need to be able to change models easily. Maybe a new model is better, more cost-effective, or unavailable in your country: Whatever the reason, switching models shouldn’t be difficult.

麻豆原创’s prompt optimizer automates this entire task. Selecting a new model automatically converts all existing prompts into optimized prompts for all the latest models using public benchmarks. This helps reduce the time needed to change models and optimizes them from days to only minutes of background processing.

The prompt optimizer now means 麻豆原创 customers can switch to the best available AI models for their specific use cases when they become available without any costly delays. It lays the groundwork for a multi-model future, where applications are decoupled from specific models and customers can utilize the most suitable model anytime.

We want organizations to seamlessly use AI capabilities without being locked into single-model dependencies, fostering flexibility and innovation in building AI solutions. A limited early access program is now available for , with general availability expected later this year.

These announcements, and many others, made at 麻豆原创 Sapphire in 2025 reaffirm our commitment to continually innovate and listen to feedback to meet our customers’ evolving needs. Take paperwork: Billions of documents are scanned into 麻豆原创 systems yearly. Extracting relevant information from documents manually is costly, error-prone, and inefficient. That is why I am excited to introduce , previously Document Information Extraction, which is natively integrated with 麻豆原创 applications.

麻豆原创 Document AI seamlessly processes, extracts, and understands structured and unstructured data from business documents while automating document processing. 麻豆原创 Document AI significantly reduces manual efforts and minimizes errors. Customers like Serax, a Belgian design brand, already use 麻豆原创 Document AI to reduce manual work by 33 percent.

麻豆原创 Document AI will build upon the well-established Document Information Extraction Base and Premium editions, preserving their proven capabilities while enhancing efficiency. In addition, later in 2025, we plan to introduce the Premium Plus edition to expand the product’s scope, ensuring smooth, out-of-the-box integration across the 麻豆原创 portfolio. We continually strive to innovate our products; the same applies to 麻豆原创 Document AI. That’s why we introduced instant learning to enhance the out-of-the-box accuracy of 麻豆原创 Document AI in the pursuit of reaching 100 percent. Suppose 麻豆原创 Document AI extracts something incorrectly from a document due to improper formatting. In that case, customers simply need to log in and correct the error once for the system to learn and avoid making the same mistake again. Additional AI innovations with partners

  • Cohere: 麻豆原创 is expanding its partnership with Cohere to bring secure, enterprise-grade generative AI models to the 麻豆原创 ecosystem, starting with Cohere’s  model and extending evaluations with the and models. These models are planned to be available alongside other leading AI models from 麻豆原创 and third parties in the generative AI hub in 麻豆原创 AI Core, with the intent to give customers more choice to build AI-powered solutions that meet their unique business needs.
  • Vianai Systems, Inc.: Vianai鈥檚 hila is an innovative generative AI conversational analytics application designed to engage a series of line-of-business executives. It currently focuses on empowering the office of the CFO, enabling direct interrogation of transactional systems. Our collaboration with Vianai centers on exploring how hila could complement established platforms such as Joule and the just ask feature in 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud by offering greater query precision and accuracy for non-麻豆原创 systems in the future. AI investments

The externally managed 麻豆原创.iO Fund has made an investment in Nova Intelligence. Nova Intelligence is building end-to-end AI coding agents that can parse and understand legacy custom ABAP 麻豆原创 code to modernize it into cloud-compliant applications. The AI agents iteratively test and refine the generated code until a successful outcome is achieved. Nova Intelligence is developing specialized AI agents to support the transformation of legacy custom code. .

New 麻豆原创 Business AI capabilities as part of the 麻豆原创 Sustainability portfolio

We鈥檙e introducing new AI capabilities in the 麻豆原创 Sustainability portfolio to help customers prepare data, automate processes, and enhance expertise. These innovations streamline environment, health, and safety (EHS) and product compliance processes and optimize risk and cost management while advancing sustainability goals. They will be available in beta in August 2025. New capabilities include:

  • AI-assisted permit management in 麻豆原创 S/4HANA for EHS: Automates and simplifies permit handling, extracts key data, and proposes follow-up tasks
  • AI-assisted safety observation reporting with Joule in 麻豆原创 S/4HANA for EHS: Enables seamless incident reporting through a conversational interface
  • AI-assisted safety instruction generation in 麻豆原创 S/4HANA for EHS: Suggests safety instructions based on risk assessments
  • AI-assisted compliance information processing in 麻豆原创 S/4HANA for product compliance: Automates data extraction and mapping from declarations and certificates

These capabilities will be available in the new Joule Premium for Supply Chain Management package, adding to existing AI features like:

On stage, Mercedes-Benz CIO Katrin Lehmann shared how 麻豆原创 helped the automotive company tackle recent challenges such as moving to the cloud and exploring custom AI options like Mercedes-Benz Direct Chat to add value for customers. 鈥淢oving to RISE with 麻豆原创 means that we can accelerate processes and leverage innovation,鈥 she said. Focus on productivity, embrace AI

Saueressig then welcomed Jan Gilg, chief revenue officer and president of 麻豆原创 Americas and Global Business Suite and member of the Extended Board of 麻豆原创 SE, on stage. Gilg opened his remarks with a sobering statistic: during the rise of software as a service (SaaS), global business productivity grew just 1.5 percent since 2005, compared to the first wave of ERP from 1995-2005 when it grew by a more robust 2.6 percent. While the cloud has unlocked the ability to consume technology faster, systems have become larger and more complex. His conclusion? 鈥淢ore technology alone does not automatically mean better business outcomes.鈥 He went on to say that what customers need are 鈥渋ntegrated business processes, especially in an uncertain business environment.鈥

Will Beery, vice president and global CIO for Mars Snacking, and Praveen Moturu, global vice president of Digital Platforms at Mars Information Services, explained how the company uses 麻豆原创 Business Suite to support rapid growth and acquisitions. 鈥淲hen you think about our digital strategy and the architecture that needs to be there to enable these businesses, it has to be more global. 鈥淭he first element of the 麻豆原创 flywheel is our applications,鈥 Klein explained. 鈥淣ot only do we have the broadest application portfolio in our industry, we also run the most-mission critical business processes end-to-end. No one understands business and industry like 麻豆原创 does.鈥

The second element of the flywheel is data. 鈥淭he apps give us the richest treasure of mission-critical business data, and no other tech company has more access to semantically rich business data,鈥 he said.

This data then feeds into the third element of the flywheel: AI. Having access to an enormous amount of business data is key to developing extremely powerful Business AI.

鈥淭hen we make the flywheel spin by infusing AI back into the apps, which run your company,鈥 Klein said before introducing the first of several on-stage demos showing how a company can manage uncertainty like shifting tariffs with the power of 麻豆原创 Business Suite and AI.

Expanding the flywheel theme, Muhammad Alam, member of the Executive Board of 麻豆原创 SE leading 麻豆原创 Product and Engineering, noted that the demo highlighted how the flywheel of apps, data, and AI is critical to the company鈥檚 quest to reimagine business applications.

To achieve this, a company needs an application suite that is end-to-end and seamlessly integrated; a data layer that provides a harmonized data model with high-quality data, strong governance and a rich semantical context; and AI that is built on high-quality data and natively available in the apps used every day.

Alam noted that while the concept of the flywheel effect isn鈥檛 new and most company CIOs have been working hard to achieve it, they have been frustrated by the disparate and heterogeneous applications landscape often built up over time out of necessity.

Fragile balance

Most companies spend a significant amount of time and money integrating the apps they use together and extracting and bringing together disparate data sets. 鈥淚n fact,鈥 Alam said, 鈥淲e estimate that organizations can spend up to 80 percent of their effort and budget in putting together this fragile balance of apps and data, leaving only 20 percent of your resources to focus on value creation.鈥

While this fragile balance has existed for a while, he explained that it breaks down completely in the age of AI, because to create exponential value you need to have your data available with the end-to-end business process context. 鈥淓nabling this in a disparate, disconnected landscape is close to impossible,鈥 he said.

The only real solution is to move to a best of breed as a suite, or what 麻豆原创 calls 鈥渟uite-as-a- service,鈥 Alam told the audience. 鈥淭he new SaaS is what will allow you to take advantage of the flywheel effect.鈥

鈥淚n the age of AI, true differentiation will lie in how you create value from this end-to-end context for your organization,鈥 he said. 鈥淭his can only happen when you simplify and innovate your core, and not add another layer of complexity to your landscape.鈥

Klein and Alam also emphasized the importance of the launch of 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud in February and its positive reception from customers and partners. Klein described it as 鈥渢he crystal ball we need in times of uncertainty, because it offers you the biggest semantical data layer in the industry harmonizing 麻豆原创 and non-麻豆原创 data.鈥

Klein also announced the expansion of business data analysis capabilities in 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud through a new partnership with Palantir, while Alam unveiled a new partnership with Adobe to develop an intelligent application on 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud that combines 麻豆原创 Cloud ERP data with data in the Adobe Experience Platform.

To enhance the power of the flywheel, Klein and Philipp Herzig, CTO and chief AI officer of 麻豆原创, also made a series of AI-related announcements. 鈥淎t 麻豆原创, our goal is to make every end user 30 percent more productive,鈥 said Klein.

Joule

To achieve this goal, 麻豆原创 is enabling end users to use human language to interact with Joule, 麻豆原创鈥檚 generative AI copilot, as our new UX, he said. Joule will provide answers to any business questions they have, while in the backend, very smart Joule Agents will take over tasks from employees across end-to-end processes.

鈥淭oday we are proud to announce that we are making Joule available to you everywhere and giving you answers on everything,鈥 the 麻豆原创 CEO said. By combining Joule with WalkMe, the adoption platform acquired by 麻豆原创 last year, Joule becomes an omnipresent, always-on, proactive, and personalized AI assistant.

鈥淣o matter in which app the end user is working, 麻豆原创 or non-麻豆原创, Joule will be everywhere,鈥 Klein said.

In addition to making Joule available everywhere, 麻豆原创 is also enabling Joule to answer everything through a new partnership with Perplexity whose CEO, Aravind Srinivas, joined Klein onstage to demonstrate how Perplexity鈥檚 answer engine will integrate with 麻豆原创 data to provide trusted answers to everyday business questions.

Business AI

During his keynote section, Herzig highlighted the progress made with 麻豆原创 Business AI. 鈥淲e committed that 80 percent of our most-used transactions would be managed via Joule, and we have delivered more than 1,600 skills supporting a wide range of tasks across HR, finance, supply chain, and more out-of-the-box,鈥 he said. 鈥淲e also introduced Joule for developers and Joule for consultants, helping tens of thousands of people every day to achieve more.鈥

Herzig said 麻豆原创 is on track to deliver more than 400 AI scenarios by the end of this year, and he is thrilled to see more than 34,000 customers are already using 麻豆原创 Business AI every day to transform the way they work.

For example, he shared that British Telecom is already saving 85 percent of the time it took to find the right skilled candidates for jobs with Joule, which is also helping employees to complete HR tasks in 40 percent less time.

鈥淥ur AI strategy is super simple, it鈥檚 really about three things,鈥 Herzig said. 鈥淛oule as the new UI in the age of AI, its Joule Agents to reimagine business processes and AI Foundation on 麻豆原创 BTP, which is becoming the operating system for AI.鈥

Joule Agents

While Joule transforms the experience layer, Herzig said, Joule Agents are transforming the business process layer, 鈥渞eimagining business processes from the ground up.鈥 Instead of designing enterprise apps around the principle of 鈥渋nsight-to-action,鈥 Joule Agents streamline decision-making through reasoning and action.

鈥淲ith this, we are making a paradigm shift in enterprise software, going really from insight to action to reason and action with AI,鈥 Herzig said. 鈥淛oule Agents will take your business processes to a completely new level.鈥  Soon, he said, companies will have a huge team of agents 鈥 Joule Agents, third-party agents, and custom agents built in Joule Studio 鈥 as part of their workforce.

To control and govern these agents, Herzig announced the launch of AI agent hub in 麻豆原创 LeanIX. 鈥溌槎乖 LeanIX already knows your business processes and enterprise application landscape, so it was just a logical step to expand the methodology to Joule Agents too,鈥 he said.

Among other innovations, Herzig announced that 麻豆原创 is introducing more than 60 new and updated capabilities into AI Foundation, including a prompt optimizer in AI Foundation developed in joint collaboration with Not Diamond, a frontier AI lab out of San Francisco. Prompt optimizerautomatically converts existing prompts to different models, and a futuristic new partnership with Neura Robotics and Nvidia is designed to blend digital and physical worlds and help empower humanoid robots to achieve business outcomes.

Rounding out the kickoff keynote, Sebastian Steinhaeuser, chief operating officer and newest member of the Executive Board of 麻豆原创 SE, explained how the company has achieved considerable gains by running its own operations on 麻豆原创 using the combined power of apps, data, and AI.

Moving to 麻豆原创鈥檚 own app layer, Steinhaeuser shared more about 麻豆原创鈥檚 own RISE with 麻豆原创 journey. He also emphasized the importance of tools like 麻豆原创 Signavio and 麻豆原创 LeanIX in mapping process landscapes and enterprise architecture, for 麻豆原创’s own transformation journey. 鈥淢any of our meetings no longer start with PowerPoint, instead we use Signavio and LeanIX to discuss how we can improve our processes and architecture,鈥 he said.

  • Customer Intelligence: Guide sales, service, marketing, and commerce teams with a 360-degree customer view to anticipate needs, improve targeting, and build a comprehensive customer profile.  
  • Finance Intelligence: Provides CFOs and finance teams with real-time forecasting and planning, connected data across systems, and AI-powered anomaly detection. 
  • Spend Intelligence: Delivers procurement and operations leaders real-time spend visibility to minimize supplier risk, flag spend outliers, and reduce costs.

Each intelligent application in 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud is underpinned by curated, governed data products, sets of structured business data and metadata designed to accelerate use cases and reduce data integration overhead. And with 麻豆原创 Databricks natively available in 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud, users can leverage 麻豆原创 data products with existing lakehouses with a zero-copy approach.

Open data ecosystem: Expanding intelligence beyond 麻豆原创

We are also making 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud more accessible to power the next generation of intelligent, multi-cloud applications.

Starting in the second quarter, 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud is available on AWS, with Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure expected to follow in the second half of 2025. This makes 麻豆原创鈥檚 data foundation more accessible and deployable within multi-cloud strategies, giving customers the flexibility to run intelligent workloads wherever they operate.

  • Palantir and 麻豆原创 are partnering to facilitate joint customers鈥 cloud migration journey and modernization programs. Seamless connectivity between Palantir and 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud will enable customers to build a harmonized data foundation across their enterprise landscape. 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud and Palantir Foundry and AIP will transform data silos into a trusted data foundation that enables human + AI teaming in the real world. Together the companies will responsibly deliver essential outcomes and support customers, including the U.S. government, to quickly adapt to changes and disruptions.
  • Thomson Reuters will develop an intelligent application to help customers navigate the fast-moving challenges in the current global trade and tariffs environment, planned for end of 2025.
  • Joint Collibra and 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud customers can now run up to 10x more active data quality jobs in Collibra Data Quality & Observability when run on 麻豆原创 BDC data, at no additional cost. This limited time offer helps accelerate decision-making, strengthen compliance, and improve AI readiness, and is available until May 30, 2026.

The scope of partner collaboration also extends to data enrichment use cases. A new partnership with 惭辞辞诲测鈥檚 will let our joint customers blend 麻豆原创鈥檚 accounts receivable data with 惭辞辞诲测鈥檚 risk datasets to enhance cash flow forecasting, prioritize collections, and reduce exposure to bad debt. This solution is scheduled for general availability in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Showcasing How 麻豆原创 Works Together with Our Customers to Bring Out Their Best /2024/06/sap-sapphire-showcasing-customers-bring-out-their-best/ Fri, 21 Jun 2024 12:19:56 +0000 /?p=226491 Last week in Barcelona, during 麻豆原创 Sapphire in 2024, I had the honor of inviting several 麻豆原创 customers on stage to share their stories of business transformations. One of them was Rob Coombe, CIO of Royal Eswatini Sugar (RES). He spoke about his company鈥檚 journey in the public cloud and how it has enabled them to adopt a company-wide digital mindset, save 14% to 18% on their costs, and attract new graduates to work in their remote operations, among other benefits.  

But what struck me the most was his simple answer to my question about his advice for others in helping them make the case for change. He said, why change? This is the wrong question to ask. The better question is, why not change?  

RES鈥檚 story and the many others shared by 麻豆原创 customers at 麻豆原创 Sapphire Orlando and Barcelona reminded me of an essential truth about business transformations in the age of generative AI. While the solutions and technologies are impressive, the stories of business value and business results matter the most.  

During those two weeks, 麻豆原创 showed over 25,000 customers, partners, analysts, and media members, both on-site and online, how we support businesses to bring out their best. We announced new AI-embedded solutions within our apps, including expanding our generative AI copilot Joule throughout our enterprise portfolio, and expanded collaborations and partnerships with AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud, Meta, Mistral AI, and NVIDIA to deliver even more value for our customers. 

麻豆原创 Enters into Agreement to Acquire WalkMe

We also announced our intention to acquire WalkMe with its state-of-the-art digital adoption platform. Along with 麻豆原创 Signavio to manage processes and 麻豆原创 LeanIX to manage enterprise architecture, with WalkMe to guide user adoption we will soon have a best-in-class transformation portfolio and help our customers maximize the value of their cloud investments with 麻豆原创 and continue driving tangible results for their business.听

When it comes to the value our customers are getting from our solutions, the stats don鈥檛 lie. For example, customers who chose have outperformed the market in revenue growth by 7%. Solutions like Taulia are helping businesses unlock the power of their working capital to fuel growth and drive innovation, with customers seeing their free cash flows improve by more than US$1 billion. 

When we look across our total customer base and our entire portfolio of solutions, over the coming years we expect to see our customers experience approximately $2.4 trillion in economic savings, around $5.4 trillion in increased revenue, and a double-digit increase in their employee satisfaction, allowing them to retain talent and reduce churn. 

But my favorite part of 麻豆原创 Sapphire every year is hearing customers tell their stories in their own words. To me, that鈥檚 the real magic of 麻豆原创 Sapphire.  

In Orlando, we heard from Brian Hardee of PureTech Scientific about the impact the public cloud has had on helping them scale up quickly as a standalone business, especially in the life sciences industry where data is everything. Jeff Lischett of Tropicana Brands Group talked about how RISE with 麻豆原创 gives them newfound speed and agility from a modern ERP to drive growth and set themselves up for success with business AI.听Ingo Elfering of Fresenius spoke about the company’s technical implementation of RISE with 麻豆原创 and how it鈥檚 given them simpler processes and a modern base for innovation and change. Takuya Sakai of Hitachi High Tech talked about the value that operating from a clean core has for their business by helping them simplify their processes and gain a competitive advantage.听听听听

Then, in Barcelona, Elisabet Braza Valle of Gonz谩lez Byass talked about how her nearly 200-year-old company, famous for producing sherry in Spain, is giving back to the land by putting sustainability front and center at every stage of its operations, thanks to 麻豆原创 solutions. 脰zlem Altini艧ik of Martur Fompak talked about their RISE with 麻豆原创 implementation, which they called Project Inspire because they saw the offering as a platform for growth and continuous improvement for the future. Ashish Agrawal of KONE spoke about how their embrace of a clean core has enabled them to adopt standardized processes as part of their transformation.

Navigating the transformation of today’s complex system landscapes and business processes is like orchestrating a symphony with countless instruments and moving parts. To succeed, we need to keep refining our engagement approach to better manage the intricacies of our customers鈥 complex architecture at an unprecedented level of detail.

To this end, we鈥檙e making a lot of changes in how we engage with customers, including strengthening the role of the enterprise architect (EA). The EA harmonizes all elements and guides the customer throughout their cloud journey.

We know the biggest challenge for any cloud transformation is to make the system landscape more agile and enable innovation — quickly. We鈥檝e been listening and have introduced solutions. For example, our RISE with 麻豆原创 Methodology is a significant step forward in creating a consistent experience for all RISE with 麻豆原创 customers, independent of their individual cloud journeys. Now, a dedicated enterprise architect guides customers through the RISE with 麻豆原创 Methodology to enhance onboarding and provides transparency throughout the project with key milestone checks, q-gates, and checklists that ensure consistent quality and more predictable timelines throughout the implementation process.

This new offering is included in our program, which is designed to give customers the confidence to migrate even the most complex ERP systems to the cloud. By enabling our customers to integrate and extend 麻豆原创 S/4HANA with a clean core approach, we ensure our customers experience better maintainability and lower total cost of ownership.鈥 Because legacy ERP systems often carry technical debt and, let鈥檚 face it, code is also a liability not just an asset. The more code you have, the more you have to optimize, debug, and modernize. And this is something we all need to actively work against.

Introducing Partner Training and Validation

We are also making it easier for RISE with 麻豆原创 customers to identify partners to help with complex 麻豆原创 S/4HANA Cloud transformations. It is essential for our partner ecosystem to follow the RISE with 麻豆原创 Methodology as well. For customers to onboard successfully, there needs to be a close alignment between 麻豆原创, the customer, and implementation partner. This is why we are training and validating partners to use the RISE with 麻豆原创 Methodology and will collaborate closely with partners to provide consistency and quality.

We are also introducing the RISE with 麻豆原创 Validated Partner recognition, which verifies a partner鈥檚 adherence to the RISE with 麻豆原创 Methodology and our q-gates, giving businesses the confidence to know that they are fully leveraging the potential of cloud-based innovations from 麻豆原创. Almost 90% of all 麻豆原创 implementations are overseen by partners, so training and validating them is a key part of our strategy to ensure consistency and quality for customers.

Building a Seamless End-to-End Tool Chain

As a former 麻豆原创 CIO, I鈥檝e felt the challenges (and pain) of large-scale transformation. I know the pressure CIOs are under to show tangible business outcomes quickly. It鈥檚 why true business transformation requires a holistic approach, not a simple technology lift and shift.

We are also bringing new consulting capabilities to Joule, aimed at simplifying 麻豆原创 implementations for partners. The new consulting capability draws insights from 麻豆原创 product documentation and the 麻豆原创 community to provide consultants with vital information and is planned to be available in the second half of this year.
