Kito Crosby chose a greenfield, clean core strategy to eliminate the existing fragmentation and enable long-term scalability, Johnson Lai, Chief Digital Transformation Officer and Chief Information Officer, . 鈥淚n the past, we did not integrate our ERP systems, and this left our IT landscape very fragmented and limited our business process capabilities,鈥 he said. 鈥淭herefore, we wanted to refresh all of our ERP systems and really lay down a greenfield start that we can begin to create a transformational change for the entire company.鈥

Selecting a greenfield and clean core approach鈥攂asically standing up an entirely new system that prioritizes standard functionalities over customizations鈥攚as key to remedying Kito Crosby鈥檚 current technology landscape, so that processes like order to cash, accounting, manufacturing, and shipping could be integrated. This approach also allowed the company to take a close look at core processes and streamline operations, especially in warehouse management and S&OP, Lai said.

The company began the transformation in North America, as that is its largest market and therefore posed the greatest risk in operating on a legacy, unsupported ERP system.

Never underestimate change management

While Lai shared that employees were motivated and excited to get started initially, the enormity of the project quickly became overwhelming.

Ironically, many wanted to customize the new 麻豆原创 S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition solution to act like the legacy tech. 鈥淓veryone agrees to the clean core approach until it鈥檚 their turn to look at their function, at which point they want customization. There was a piece of resistance to using 鈥榲anilla鈥 functionality,鈥 Lai said. 鈥淥nce we showed people live demos with their own data, that鈥檚 when the change resistance started to decrease,鈥 he added.

In IT specifically, there was a strong desire to build and run their own infrastructure and servers rather than have another company step in. A sense of ownership and accountability is important, Lai said, but ultimately Kito Crosby鈥檚 need to get off the legacy system in North America quickly made it necessary to partner with 麻豆原创. And it was the right move: 鈥淣ow some of the folks who questioned why we outsourced some of that to 麻豆原创 are our biggest champions鈥e find working with the 麻豆原创 team is no different than working with ourselves.鈥

For companies with digital transformation projects on the horizon, Lai cautions to 鈥渘ever underestimate the change impact that employees face.鈥 Projects of a global scale require planning on all fronts, including allocating time for employees and business leaders to get on board.

AI in action: from assistants to agents 

The shift toward an AI-enabled ERP is highlighted by two key advancements in FPS01:

麻豆原创 Cloud ERP: An out-of-the-box enterprise management solution

Headquartered in Nuuk and 100% owned by the Government of Greenland, Royal Greenland is modernizing its 麻豆原创 platform and moving from on premise to cloud ERP in order to future鈥憄roof core processes and unlock embedded AI across its 麻豆原创 business applications.

鈥淲e are moving from our existing setup to 麻豆原创 Cloud ERP and 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud because we want access to the capabilities you can consume on a cloud platform,鈥 said Lars Bo Hassinggaard, CIO at Royal Greenland for more than 25 years.

The company brings high鈥憅uality wild鈥慶aught fish and shellfish from the North Atlantic and Arctic Ocean to consumers worldwide. It has been running 麻豆原创 since 1998 but is now embarking on its most significant transition to date: migrating 麻豆原创 ERP Central Component to 麻豆原创 Cloud ERP while simultaneously elevating its business intelligence (BI) landscape into 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud and later transforming BI into 麻豆原创 Datasphere.

The project follows the structured RISE with 麻豆原创 framework, which consolidates platform transformation, operations, and the innovation cycle into one contract.

Lean, selective data transition: 90% fewer data to move

As part of the migration, Royal Greenland is reducing its data volume significantly using the 鈥淟ean Selective Data Transition鈥 method.

鈥淲e are keeping 10 years of data and cleaning up, so we avoid outdated company codes and historical data that no longer create value,鈥 Hassinggaard explained. 鈥淲e鈥檝e achieved a 90% reduction in what needs to be stored and migrated. The method combines data analysis, scoping, and standardized mapping objects in a guided process, ensuring that Royal Greenland only carries forward what is truly necessary, making the financials of the transformation more predictable and avoiding unnecessary complexity.鈥

Technology first, innovation next

Go鈥憀ive is planned for March 1, 2027. The year 2026 is dedicated to the platform lift itself. From 2027, Royal Greenland will begin building business鈥慸riven improvements on top of the standardized core鈥攆or example, new user interfaces and process optimization using small AI agents within finance and administration.

鈥淩oyal Greenland and 麻豆原创 have worked together since 1998, and we look forward to getting started on the technical part of the platform uplift this January,鈥 Hassinggaard shared. 鈥淲e鈥檙e keeping the transformation as simple as possible for now and will use 2027 to activate the benefits, such as improved data analysis, better user experience, and more efficient work processes.鈥

Royal Greenland is following a classic waterfall approach and has already established a 鈥済olden shell鈥 as the basis for further configuration and retrofitting.

麻豆原创 is responsible for implementing the cloud solution, which will run on Microsoft Azure, initially in Sweden, with the option to move later to a Danish data center. External advisor Spektra Analytics has supported contract validation.

From in鈥慼ouse experiments to standardized, 鈥渃onsumed鈥 AI

Although Royal Greenland has already successfully experimented with its own AI solutions, including vision鈥慴ased projects in production, the strategic direction ahead is to leverage embedded, standardized AI data products from 麻豆原创 and models built on the 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud and its semantic data layer.

鈥淲e are a company that prefers to tap into existing AI solutions rather than invent them ourselves,鈥 Hassinggaard said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 far more efficient for us. There is no reason for us to spend resources reinventing what 麻豆原创 already provides. The initial focus will be on process optimization within administrative functions such as finance鈥攕mall AI agents that can streamline daily work.鈥

Advice to others: Allocate more time, and understand your method

Hassinggaard is clear that the RISE with 麻豆原创 contract, methodology, and preparation work require time and organizational maturity. His advice to other companies facing a similar cloud ERP decision: 鈥淒o it thoroughly鈥攁nd allocate more time than you think. Study the methodology, pricing, and contracts. And bring a competent advisor on board.鈥

Naturipe has been an 麻豆原创 customer since 2008, and while initially it was not very proactive with software upgrades, the company鈥檚 philosophy has changed over time. Today, Carol McMillan, Naturipe鈥檚 senior IT director, emphasizes the importance of upgrading and upskilling the team regularly.

Her advice for other organizations in the agricultural industry includes the importance of putting people first, using technology to drive strategic growth, and not being a prisoner to risk. “It’s just as risky to not upgrade your technology as it is to have an aggressive timeline and have the tools that you need in order to drive that exponential growth,” she says.

The Digital Ocean: In Conversation with the Biggest Cleanup Project in Human History /2026/01/beyond-tech-expanding-perspectives-sap-the-ocean-cleanup/ Tue, 13 Jan 2026 11:15:00 +0000 /?p=239636 In a world where technology moves at lightning speed, I am fortunate to have a vantage point and a unique opportunity to see the connections business leaders make and the possibilities they create in defining moments for their industry.

Beyond Tech 鈥 Expanding Perspectives鈥 is about their stories. With this series, I hope to provide a glimpse into the inspiring minds I encounter, capturing their ideas to spark insight and innovation.

For the , I had the privilege of speaking with Nisha Bakker, director of Partnerships at The Ocean Cleanup, an organization proving that, with the right vision, evidence, and engineering, we can solve global challenges at scale.

Plastic is one of humanity鈥檚 greatest inventions and one of its most persistent problems. Durable, cheap, and versatile, it has transformed food security, medicine, logistics, and manufacturing. But that same durability means most of the plastic ever produced still exists today. And much of it has ended up where it shouldn鈥檛: in our rivers, our oceans, our ecosystems鈥攅ven our bodies.

Today, the world produces . Production is still rising, projected to grow 66 percent by 2040, even as waste management systems are overwhelmed. Only nine percent of plastic is recycled globally. A third is mismanaged, left to leak into the environment through open dumping, unregulated landfills, and littering. As a result, have accumulated in rivers and lakes, far more than the 30 million tons in the oceans themselves.

Rivers are the main conveyor belt carrying waste to the sea. In 2020 alone, 1.4 million tons of plastic flowed from rivers into the ocean. Without intervention, this will more than double by 2060. Just a thousand rivers account for 80 percent of this flow, largely in rapidly developing economies where growth, urbanization, and weak waste systems collide.

This is where has focused its mission. The organization aims to rid the world鈥檚 oceans of plastic through a comprehensive strategy that includes removing legacy plastic accumulated in the ocean and along coastlines while also stopping new plastic pollution from entering the marine environment. Their ambition is bold and unambiguous: to put themselves out of business by 2040.

Data, vision the difference in cleanup efforts

During our conversation, Nisha explained how the work is driven not only by passion, but by evidence. 鈥淵ou could look at a river, see the problem, and start removing plastic immediately,鈥 she said. 鈥淏ut we first determine the best place to remove it, and then build the entire value chain around it鈥攊ncluding recycling, operators, permits, and long-term partners. Data is what sets us apart.鈥

Behind every cleanup is an enormous amount of engineering and analysis. The Ocean Cleanup鈥檚 teams map political, economic, and social dynamics in each country with an affected river system. They deploy trackers to understand how fast plastic moves, where it gets stuck, and how seasonal changes from monsoons to dry months affect pollution flows. Cameras equipped with detection algorithms help quantify volumes and patterns. Modelling and simulations guide where to deploy Interceptor systems and how to scale them.

This foundation of data explains their success: more than 46 million kilograms of waste intercepted and removed from marine and freshwater environments, thanks to System 03, their towed ocean technology spanning over 2.2 kilometers, which can clean an area the size of a football field in five seconds; and over 20 Interceptor systems deployed across the world鈥檚 most polluted rivers. The organization recently unveiled plans to tackle up to a third of all plastic emissions from rivers through its 30 Cities Program, targeting urban centers with important waterways and major pollution problems.

But as Nisha stressed, cleanup is only one part of the solution. 鈥淲e鈥檙e buying time for systemic change,鈥 she told me. 鈥淯ltimately you need governments, producers, recyclers, and communities working together.鈥

There are signs of progress: more than 90 countries now have plastic bag bans; extended producer responsibility regulations are expanding; and negotiations toward a global plastics treaty have brought unprecedented international attention to the issue despite agreement remaining elusive.

The importance of systems

What struck me most in our discussion was the philosophy that drives The Ocean Cleanup. With employees from 40 nationalities, they are building bridges across sectors, disciplines, and geographies. They are proving what is possible when a global movement is anchored in evidence-based design and relentless experimentation.

Specialized models, AI agents, and AI-native architecture will ensure that AI continues to embed itself into the very core of enterprise operations鈥攚ith potentially powerful benefits.

To navigate AI鈥檚 evolution, organizations need to understand that it鈥檚 no longer just a question of “What can AI do?” but “How do we set our organization up for success with AI? How do we build for it? What problems do I solve with which models? How do we govern it?”

Looking ahead to five critical themes that will define enterprise AI in 2026, these present both opportunities and challenges for organizations. Let’s dive in.

Create transformative impact with the most powerful AI and agents fueled by the context of all your business data

1. New categories of AI foundation models unlock enterprise value

Advances in generative AI stem from breakthroughs in 鈥渇oundation models,鈥 massive neural networks trained on vast amounts of data that can be adapted to a wide range of tasks.

Large language models (LLMs) were the first wave of foundation models at scale. General-purpose LLMs, trained on the equivalent of all the text on the internet, opened the door to many value-adding use cases, including summarizing documents, writing code, and powering applications like ChatGPT and Claude. Over the last few years, we have already seen the foundation model approach applied to other domains, such as video creation and voice.

In 2026, specialized foundation models optimized for specific data types and domains will power the high-value enterprise AI use cases. Video generation models have already shown that models grounded in real-world physics data can reason about scenes and physical dynamics. Emerging world models demonstrate that simulating the physical world unlocks new possibilities in simulation, synthetic training data, and digital twins. Vision-language-action models demonstrate that robot-specific foundation models can generalize to new tasks and environments, enabling the transformation of web-scale knowledge into real-world actions in logistics and manufacturing.

In the enterprise domain, a similar shift is underway for structured data found in databases and transactional business software. While LLMs are impressive across many enterprise use cases, they cannot handle tasks like numerical predictions, such as inferring a delivery date or supplier risk score. However, work on relational foundation models shows that training on structured datasets鈥攆or example, data in tables, rather than generic text or images from the internet鈥攃an deliver high predictive accuracy without the tedious feature engineering and training required in classical machine learning. This means organizations can deploy predictive models in days, not months. Recent launches of relational foundation models, such as 麻豆原创-RPT-1, Kumo, and DistilLabs, highlight how new models can directly support use cases like forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization across ERP, finance, manufacturing, and supply chain scenarios.

In 2026, these specialized models are expected to scale to deliver superior performance and economics for structured business tasks, surpassing general-purpose LLMs and state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms. These models will emerge as the workhorses behind high-value enterprise tasks.

2. Software evolves toward AI-native architecture

AI has seen various approaches create value over the decades, from the first rules-based expert systems to probabilistic deep learning and the recent explosion in generative AI. In 2026, organizations will shift from enhancing existing AI applications and processes to AI-native architectures, which will fully realize the promise of modern AI.

AI-native architecture adds a continuously learning, agentic intelligence layer on top of deterministic systems, enabling applications to become intent-driven, context-aware, and self-improving rather than being statically coded around fixed workflows. Agentic systems will still only be as good as the context layer they can reliably retrieve and ground on. Here, organizations should invest in truly comprehensive, semantically rich knowledge graphs that provide a scalable source of context, making AI-native software dependable and self-improving.

Enterprise applications will increasingly be built natively around AI capabilities, featuring user experiences designed for multi-model, natural language interaction; AI agents reasoning through complex processes; and a foundation managing foundation models, services, and a knowledge graph capturing semantically rich business data.聽AI-native architecture also enables more employees to create apps鈥攕uch as smaller, ad-hoc productivity applications鈥攊n a matter of minutes without straining IT.聽

AI-native architecture builds on, and even requires, established SaaS principles and investments in modern cloud applications. The technical term for combining probabilistic, adaptive AI models with deterministic systems of record is called neurosymbolic AI. It brings together AI鈥檚 best capabilities to adapt with reliable, governable, and deterministic processes. Next-gen applications will not just have AI bolted on; they鈥檒l be built around AI at their core. This means combining reasoning, business rules, and data to deliver insights and automation seamlessly. Imagine ERP systems that proactively flag anomalies, recommend actions, and even execute workflows autonomously鈥攁ll while staying aligned with company policies and regulations.

3. Agentic governance becomes mission-critical

Over the past two to three years, generative AI has introduced a wave of value-added use cases. These use cases were largely based on users sending a prompt to a model, receiving a response, and then interacting with the model again.

Last year saw the start of the next wave of innovation: AI agents capable of planning and iteratively reasoning through multi-step tasks, including selecting tools, self-reflecting on progress, and collaborating with other AI agents. These advanced AI agents promise to tackle complex business processes that were previously immune to automation, such as analyzing myriad documents, records, and policies to or .

However, the proliferation of AI agents, many of which handle critical tasks and sensitive data, demands the development of new capabilities. Agentic governance will emerge as a critical capability as organizations deploy hundreds of specialized AI agents. The “agent sprawl” challenge will mirror previous shadow IT crises, but with higher stakes given agents’ autonomous decision-making capabilities.

Forward-thinking enterprises will establish comprehensive governance frameworks addressing five dimensions: agent lifecycle management (version control, testing protocols, deployment approval, retirement procedures); observability and auditability (agent inventory, logging, reasoning paths, and action traces); policy enforcement (embedding business rules, regulatory constraints, and ethical guidelines into agent execution); human-agent collaboration models (defining autonomy boundaries, approval requirements, and escalation pathways); and performance monitoring (tracking accuracy, efficiency, cost, and business impact).

The organizational shift will prove profound鈥攆rom viewing AI as an independent tool to managing agents as digital coworkers requiring onboarding, performance reviews, and continuous improvement. HR and IT functions will collaborate on “digital workforce management” as organizations treat agentic governance as seriously as they do traditional workforce oversight.

4. Intent-driven ERP and generative UI emerge as a new user experience

Consumers are becoming increasingly familiar with computer interactions requiring prompts in natural language, voice, and even images and gestures. At the same time, generative AI鈥檚 ability to create text, graphs, code, and HTML on the fly is improving rapidly. In parallel, AI agents enable users to simply express their intentions, allowing the agent to determine how to work toward achieving that goal.

These advancements open the door to varied and entirely new modalities for users to work with enterprise software, as well as 鈥渘o-app ERP鈥 experiences. For example, to book a customer visit, a worker typically needs to open an analytics application to review the account, look in the CRM system to retrieve the customer鈥檚 address, and then navigate to another application to book travel, among other tasks. 

In 2026, we will see 鈥済en UI鈥 experiences increasingly surface via digital assistants, relieving users from the need to navigate between multiple applications and perform manual tasks. With time, AI will allow the user to simply express the intent: 鈥淧repare a trip to my customer with the most leads.鈥 From here, an AI agent will plan out the steps and required systems, interacting with the user to confirm travel details while dynamically generating analytical graphs and briefing material in the window. As AI agents develop stronger calculation and prediction tools, users will be able to “speak to their data” more naturally, with agents making data-based decisions in the background. To be clear, interactions with agents will extend far beyond a chat box; organizations will enjoy rich visualizations, complete workflows, and the ability to build hyper-personalized apps with just a few commands.

The user interface will not disappear. No-app ERP experiences and autonomous agents require the same foundational substrate that humans rely on for their daily work: structured workflows, security, governance, and business logic defined in business applications. The difference is that agents consume these primitives programmatically at scale, not only through a GUI, and humans can interact with these agents via natural language without ever needing to open the application.

These capabilities will usher in a new paradigm for human-AI collaboration and productivity in the workplace. Personalized experiences and adaptive workflows across applications and data sources will lower adoption barriers. This ability to focus solely on achieving a user鈥檚 intention, regardless of the interaction modality and underlying systems, will drive return on investment (ROI) in AI and enterprise software.

5. Deglobalization drives sovereign AI offerings

AI sparked debates about digital sovereignty among nations due to AI鈥檚 potential impact on everything from scientific discovery and national security to economic productivity and even culture. Events in geopolitics, such as supply chain disruptions caused by tariffs and war, have only intensified the urgency that many nations and organizations feel to become digitally sovereign.

Digital sovereignty has two broad definitions. Compatibility Packs provide temporary usage rights, allowing certain classical 麻豆原创 ERP functionalities to operate within 麻豆原创 S/4HANA, aiming to ease the migration and maintain business continuity for customers moving from 麻豆原创 ERP to 麻豆原创 S/4HANA.

For most of the Compatibility Packs, the usage rights end on December 31, 2025, which has been extensively communicated to customers, partners, and user groups and is documented in .

To counter for the fact that despite the extensive communication聽several customers still need some more time to manage this transition, 麻豆原创 is offering this final transition period in an effort to provide customers with greater choice and flexibility.

Since the Statens Serum Institut (SSI) sold its vaccine production in 2017 and it was taken over by AJ Vaccines, the organization has transitioned from a public entity to a private pharmaceutical company based in Copenhagen.

After the divestment from SSI, AJ Vaccines inherited an 麻豆原创 system from the late 1990s, which was designed more for a public health organization than a pharmaceutical company.

鈥淲e were left with an outdated system that didn鈥檛 really fit our needs as a private player in a global market,鈥 Michael Kvistholm, head of IT at AJ Vaccines, said. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 why we decided to go all-in on a cloud solution with 麻豆原创 S/4HANA Cloud. We carried out a pure standard implementation from scratch (greenfield) in a RISE with 麻豆原创 setup and now have a modern, flexible, and scalable cloud ERP platform that supports our entire business.鈥

Since implementing in October 2025, AJ Vaccines has gained a unified platform that creates new opportunities to optimize and integrate processes across the company. The IT department has gained an overview and reduced complexity with 麻豆原创 LeanIX, a tool for mapping and managing the company鈥檚 entire application landscape and ensuring governance across both 麻豆原创 and non-麻豆原创 solutions. 麻豆原创 Cloud ALM is used for project management and lifecycle management, so releases, testing, and documentation are handled efficiently, and compliance is always top-notch.

鈥淲e鈥檝e saved a lot of hours by using standard test cases from 麻豆原创 Signavio, which is our platform for process mapping, modelling, and optimization,鈥 said Kvistholm. “We鈥檒l also use these tools for other projects across the company.”

At the same time, 麻豆原创 Enable Now鈥攆or change management and end-user training鈥攈as made learning for existing staff and onboarding new employees easier.

鈥淲e鈥檝e created over 100 training videos so all employees can quickly find answers and learn new workflows鈥攊t鈥檚 been a huge success,鈥 Kvistholm confirmed.

Kvistholm also looks forward to early 2026, when the recruitment process will be digitized with 麻豆原创 SuccessFactors. Finally, he and his team will carefully consider the new opportunities created by 麻豆原创 Business Technology Platform. Optimizing logistics at scale

Handling approximately 400 transports daily across multiple global plants, KAMAX manages two distinct logistics flows: goods pre-packed and stored in warehouses, and a “pack-to-order” system where items are packaged just before shipment. Currently, three plants operate on 麻豆原创 S/4HANA with 麻豆原创 Extended Warehouse Management and one pilot plant with 麻豆原创 Transportation Management integrated, while others are transitioning from 麻豆原创 ERP Central Component (麻豆原创 ECC).

The implementation of the advanced shipping and receiving process dramatically improved logistics transparency and efficiency.

“The use of the unified package builder, which leverages real data instead of estimates, allows us to provide precise shipping information to freight forwarders earlier in the process,” Jens Hoidem, director of IT Business Solutions at KAMAX, explained. This improvement enhances truck planning and communication with carriers, positively impacting the company’s logistics operations daily.

KAMAX collaborates exclusively with freight forwarders, working with approximately 20 carriers globally. At the advanced shipping and receiving pilot plant, about 60 deliveries per day are coordinated, involving around 2,000 handling units across five to six trucks. This network supports operational responsiveness without compromising control.

On premise today, cloud-ready tomorrow

Currently, three of KAMAX鈥檚 plants run on 麻豆原创 S/4HANA, with the remaining plants on 麻豆原创 ECC, all on an on-premises basis designed to be cloud-ready for future transitions.

Hoidem pinpointed the critical process improvements brought by advanced shipping and receiving in combination with 麻豆原创 Extended Warehouse Management and 麻豆原创 Transportation Management: 鈥淭he shipping registration now uses the unified package builder, relying on accurate, real data rather than estimated figures. This has substantially improved truck planning and early communication with our freight forwarders, impacting around 60 deliveries and about 2,000 handling units daily at our pilot plant.鈥

Over 95 percent of KAMAX’s transport is by truck. “We maintain a global footprint close to our OEM customers to optimize delivery times and costs,鈥 Hoidem added. 鈥淲e currently engage about 70 to 80 different freight forwarders worldwide, facilitating diverse and dynamic transport needs.鈥

Sustainability and process automation

KAMAX has a bold strategy for sustainability and aims for carbon neutrality by 2037. Implementation of 麻豆原创 Extended Warehouse Management and 麻豆原创 Transportation Management plays a crucial role in supporting KAMAX’s goal by enabling better route planning, efficient truck utilization, and minimizing empty runs.

鈥淩educing CO2 emissions through smarter transport management is a key project outcome,鈥 Hoidem added.

The German company is also actively advancing in automation. In China, KAMAX has piloted RFID technology integrated with automated guided vehicles (AGVs) to automate intra-logistics, reducing manual labor and enhancing productivity.

the company’s digital subsidiary, has developed an Operator Cockpit linked with 麻豆原创 Extended Warehouse Management for real-time monitoring and automated production order management. Using laser technology, KAMAX automated piece counting, saving about 40 labour hours in May at their Slovakian plant across 1,200 containers.

KAMAX plans to roll out 麻豆原创 Extended Warehouse Management, 麻豆原创 Transportation Management, and advanced shipping and receiving across all seven plants, progressively improving automation and digitalization of intralogistics processes. 鈥淲e aim to integrate AI for advanced receiving and transportation management, continuing to optimize costs and capacity,鈥 Hoidem shared.

All this runs on 麻豆原创 Business Technology Platform (麻豆原创 BTP), which serves as the foundation for building and managing AI agents鈥攂oth 麻豆原创 built and custom developed. While 麻豆原创 BTP is the engine, the Business Transformation Management portfolio is the navigator, ensuring technology translates into real business impact. Alam identified three broad themes during the keynote:

First, he said 麻豆原创 is continuing to make 麻豆原创 more open. 鈥淲e鈥檙e also standardizing AI agent interoperability with the agent-to-agent protocol, allowing your agents to collaborate securely across ecosystems,鈥 he added.

Third, he announced 麻豆原创鈥檚 first foundation model built specifically for structured business data: 麻豆原创 RPT-1, pronounced 鈥溌槎乖 Rapid One.鈥 鈥淥ur relational pretrained transformer delivers enterprise-grade accuracy and scale, outperforming both LLMs and AutoML for tabular AI, which is critical for building reliable high-value agents,鈥 Alam said.

鈥淚n short, we鈥檙e embracing an open ecosystem, supercharging agents with deep process and data context, and giving you the tools to amplify AI and agents,鈥 he said. As the keynote continued, Ameling and Herzig detailed these and other innovations, explaining how they will help developers work smarter and achieve more.

麻豆原创 pioneers a tabular foundation model

Herzig then explained that 麻豆原创 RPT-1 was designed to address a crucial problem for developers and enable them to deliver much better predictive capabilities, enterprise-grade accuracy, and scale to business customers.

Until now, Herzig said, 鈥淲e still had to go back to good old machine learning 鈥o train what we call 鈥榥arrow鈥 AI models that are specifically made for each [business] task. Therefore, you really had to train a hell of a lot of models.鈥 For example, to solve 10 predictive tasks across 10 different entities like company codes or plants would require training 100 different models.

鈥淲hat we really want to do is get rid of all these models and just introduce one giant model that only requires a small amount of data to learn from,鈥 he said. That鈥檚 what 麻豆原创 RPT-1 is. 鈥淲e believe 麻豆原创 RPT-1 is the most capable predictive foundation model that鈥檚 out there today,鈥 he said, delivering much higher prediction quality while being very fast and super-efficient in terms of resource requirements.

Joule, Joule Agents, and AI assistants

The 麻豆原创 CTO also emphasized that the company is committed to providing developers with the most context-rich agentic platform. He noted that 麻豆原创 has already shipped 20 Joule Agents across lines of business and will have approximately 40 by the end of the year, and that these agents can leverage more than 2,100 pre-delivered Joule skills. In addition, more than 300 embedded AI scenarios across product lines are available for customers to date, including Joule Agents, growing to 400 use cases in total by the end of the year.

Ameling added: “Our promise is simple: build with intent.
