Once closed, the acquisition will strengthen 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud (麻豆原创 BDC)鈥攊ntegral for 麻豆原创’s AI-First and Suite-First strategy鈥攁nd accelerate the evolution of 麻豆原创 BDC to a fully interoperable enterprise data platform for enterprise-wide agentic AI. It will provide customers with the tools they need to unify, cleanse and harmonize data across sources for superior enterprise-wide agentic AI.

By integrating Reltio after closing the acquisition, 麻豆原创 will make customers’ enterprise data fully AI-ready. Customers will be able to rely on trusted, high-quality data across 麻豆原创 and non-麻豆原创 sources that Joule and Joule Agents use to deliver faster time-to-value for business AI.

Reltio鈥檚 platform helps organizations manage and govern structured and unstructured enterprise data from start to finish. Its AI-based entity resolution identifies and merges related records from different formats and applications into one reliable 鈥済olden record鈥 system of context. Its cloud-native, AI-first design supports a single, consistent view of customers, products, suppliers, locations and employees across both 麻豆原创 and non-麻豆原创 applications. Customers running AI tasks will benefit from increased reliability and consistency of data, bundled in a single source of truth, improving business AI. With that, customers can trust that AI results are correct, and AI-interactions are resolved fast.

By integrating Reltio after closing the acquisition, 麻豆原创 intends to accelerate its customers’ ability to govern and expose master data as trusted and context-rich data products across multiple sources that serve both traditional analytics workloads and AI agents. Reltio will become a core capability within 麻豆原创 BDC, with a flexible commercial model where customers can purchase Reltio as a separate solution or with other 麻豆原创 products. The Reltio portfolio will also remain available as a standalone offering for the foreseeable future.

The transaction is expected to close in Q2 or Q3 of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.

For example, Model Context Protocol (MCP) support for 麻豆原创 HANA Cloud is now generally available. This provides direct access to rich multi-model engines. Agents can be grounded in full enterprise data context: navigating relationships across customers and suppliers, understanding geographic dependencies through spatial data, and performing semantic searches through vector embeddings — all within a single in-memory engine.  

We鈥檙e also expanding 麻豆原创 HANA Cloud knowledge graph engine capabilities (Q1 2026) so customers can automatically generate knowledge graphs from 麻豆原创 HANA Cloud metadata. What used to take weeks of manual modeling can now happen automatically in minutes. But that鈥檚 not all. We鈥檙e also enabling agentic memory in 麻豆原创 HANA Cloud. With long-term memory, AI agents can memorize past inputs and decisions — learning and remembering just like humans — and become continuously smarter.

Bringing together the power of 麻豆原创 BDC and Snowflake

We are bringing the power of Snowflake together with 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud (麻豆原创 BDC), calling it 麻豆原创 Snowflake. This partnership enables zero copy data sharing with Snowflake via 麻豆原创 BDC Connect.

Enterprises already using Snowflake today can leverage 麻豆原创 BDC Connect to integrate their existing instances of Snowflake with 麻豆原创 BDC, giving them seamless, real-time access to combined, semantically rich 麻豆原创 with non-麻豆原创 data in 麻豆原创 BDC. 麻豆原创 Snowflake will be made generally available in Q1 2026, and 麻豆原创 BDC Connect for Snowflake in H1 2026. 麻豆原创-RPT-1: a new category of AI models

One of our most exciting announcements at 麻豆原创 TechEd was the launch of our first enterprise relational foundation model 麻豆原创-RPT-1, pronounced: 鈥渞apid one.鈥

Businesses run on structured data. But large language models (LLMs) struggle with a general understanding of table structures and associated semantics. This requires the use of machine learning, or 鈥渘arrow AI,鈥 for tasks like classification, regression, and more. But classical machine learning necessitates training a model on each task, which easily can lead to hundreds of separate models.

麻豆原创-RPT-1 puts them all into one single, pre-trained model that understands relational business data and predicts business outcomes. Unlike language, image, or video models, 麻豆原创-RPT-1 accurately predicts business based on tabular data such as payment delays, supplier risks, upsell opportunities, customer churn risk, and more.

We believe that 麻豆原创-RPT-1 is a super capable foundation model today. It provides up to 2x better prediction quality compared to narrow models and 3.5x better prediction quality as compared to LLMs. .

麻豆原创-RPT-1 comes in three versions. 麻豆原创-RPT-1-small is for super-fast predictions and 麻豆原创-RPT-1-large is for highest accuracy. Both will be generally available in Q4 2025 in the generative AI hub in AI Foundation. 麻豆原创-RPT-1-OSS is the open-source version, available in Hugging Face and GitHub.

You can test 麻豆原创-RPT-1 today with your data or our use case data samples via no-code UI or via API in the new 麻豆原创-RPT-1 playground, an intuitive and interactive space to test for free and open to everyone and .

We are continuously adding new capabilities to AI Foundation and models to the generative AI hub, empowering developers to experiment with orchestration tools and leading models to scale AI development and productization across 麻豆原创 and non-麻豆原创 environments. For example, Perplexity is now generally available in the generative AI hub, so users can correlate business data with external data from the internet. Evaluation Services and Prompt Optimizer, in close collaboration with NotDiamond, are now also generally available in AI Foundation, freeing up users to adopt the most appropriate model for their use cases without the need for rewriting prompts. .

Digital sovereignty made in Germany, for Europe

Digital sovereignty is becoming increasingly important, reflecting the need for regional AI services that align with local regulations, standards, and values. As an example, Europe will benefit from its own strong, trustworthy infrastructure to support innovation, data protection, and ethical AI.

AI Foundation, including various models and all the services we offer, is already available on our own cloud infrastructure. As a next step, we are expanding our 麻豆原创 Cloud Infrastructure offering in our 麻豆原创 data center in Walldorf, Germany, to Deutsche Telekom through the Industrial AI Cloud project, providing secure, high-performance infrastructure for AI innovations across public institutions, defense, and society. 麻豆原创 delivers 麻豆原创 Cloud Infrastructure, 麻豆原创 Business Technology Platform, and applications 鈥 including our AI Foundation with frontier AI from Mistral, Cohere, and others 鈥 on Telekom鈥檚 Munich data center. Enabling customers to build, extend, share, and orchestrate AI agents

To help manage Joule Agents and Joule skills, we have introduced the concept of AI Assistants 鈥 role-based AI teammates, accessed through Joule 鈥 like a financial assistant that brings together agents for cash collection, treasury, and more. We will provide AI Assistants in Joule for every core business role, offering our users an agentic experience like never before.

Out-of-the-box Joule Agents are powerful, but we know that every company has unique requirements. We believe AI should adapt to users鈥 systems, not the other way around, so we are enabling them to use Joule Studio to extend 麻豆原创鈥檚 pre-built agents with custom fields, tools, and reasoning logic while retaining all the deeply grounded integration capabilities 麻豆原创 provides. Joule Studio also provides low-code tools to build custom agents that integrate with all other Joule Agents, Joule skills, and 麻豆原创 BDC.

Using a low-code approach, users can build Joule Agents visually with natural language and drag-and-drop. But we also want to meet the needs of developers who want ultimate flexibility. Our pro-code approach gives developers the freedom to build agents using the agentic framework of their choice 鈥 for example, LangGraph, CrewAI, Google鈥檚 Agent Development Kit, and more. 麻豆原创 Cloud SDK for AI now supports agentic development, ensuring these pro-code agents can be seamlessly integrated and giving developers the best of both worlds: deep integration and full flexibility.

No matter how you want to build agents, an important question is how to integrate them into the larger ecosystem beyond 麻豆原创. We鈥檙e making Joule Agents fully compatible with the agent-to-agent (A2A) protocol soon, so agents can discover and collaborate with each other.

A2A exposes rich semantics describing an agent鈥檚 capabilities, allowing both 麻豆原创 and third-party agents to work together seamlessly. We are collaborating with partners 鈥 AWS, Google, Microsoft, ServiceNow, and more 鈥 to standardize this protocol for full interoperability. No 麻豆原创 TechEd without ABAP news

The ABAP journey continues with 麻豆原创-ABAP-1, which will be available in the generative AI hub in Q4 2025. Trained on ABAP code, it is designed to build ABAP AI use cases, enabling developers to build smarter, custom AI solutions in modern ABAP code. .

In addition, ABAP Cloud development is coming to Visual Studio (VS) Code. The new ABAP Cloud extension for VS Code delivers a streamlined, file-based development experience with built-in AI assistance. Powered by an ABAP language server, it will initially support 麻豆原创 Fiori UI service development and expand to additional ABAP Cloud scenarios over time. This brings ABAP development into the same environment where developers already build with UI5 and CAP. General availability is planned for Q2 2026. .

What鈥檚 next: embodied AI and quantum

An intelligent application includes three distinct layers: data products, domain content, and applications. When all these components come together, intelligent applications become a suite of adaptive, AI-powered applications that can learn from data, understand business context, and act on behalf of a user. They are built to complement 麻豆原创鈥檚 transactional applications and sit on top of 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud.

Automate, adapt, and learn in real time with AI-powered applications that understand your business

But what makes these applications different from existing analytics solutions? 鈥淭raditional reporting and analytics is focused on producing insights and reviewing past performance,鈥 said Brian Raver, vice president, 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud Product Marketing. 鈥淲ith intelligent applications, we go a step further. We provide out-of-the-box data products, model them together for actionable insights, and close the loop by allowing the intelligent applications to continuously learn and adapt based on that data.鈥

Three layers of an intelligent application

Data products

These are ready-to-use, curated data sets that are delivered for analytics, AI, machine learning, and operational use cases and provide insights related to a specific business topic or challenge. 鈥淎 data product consists of a refined data set, metadata describing the data set, and an access port or application programming interface (API), allowing to exchange data with third-party applications,鈥 Raver explained. Metadata provides detailed descriptions of the data set, including business definitions and explanations of each field, ensuring that users understand the context and meaning of the data they are working with. Available data products are published in a catalog for developers and data professionals for easy discovery and direct access to various use cases from analytics to application development.

Domain content

Data products are then combined into 麻豆原创 Datasphere semantic models that power 麻豆原创 Analytics Cloud stories and planning models. These out-of-the-box, interactive dashboards enable customers to analyze performance, monitor key metrics, and plan for high-value business scenarios.

What is an 麻豆原创 Analytics Cloud story?

An 麻豆原创 Analytics Cloud story is an interactive dashboard or report that allows a user to visualize, analyze, and share data insights in a highly flexible, presentation-style format. A story can combine charts, tables, text, images, and other visual elements. This helps to explore and understand data from different perspectives.

Applications

Pro-code applications transform the domain content and data products into recommended actions that are directly connected to 麻豆原创 transactional systems. Over time, they continuously learn and adapt based on business outcomes. The future vision is for these applications to go beyond recommendations and empower AI agents to act on their own. 鈥淚ntelligent applications encapsulate end-to-end business processes, while AI agents act as users within these processes,鈥 Raver explained. 鈥淎I agents can interact with intelligent applications to perform tasks typically done by human users.鈥

This built-in access to curated, high-quality data allows customers to unlock insights and drive value faster, without requiring extensive data engineering resources.

Looking ahead, as AI capabilities continue to mature, these intelligent applications are expected to evolve from providing recommendations to taking actions autonomously. 鈥淚n the future, these applications could act on their own, learning from user behavior to automate repetitive tasks, free up time for more strategic work, and reduce the need for manual intervention,鈥 Raver said.

The CFO perspective 

His comments were echoed by CFO and Executive Board Member Dominik Asam in an onstage discussion with economist and Berkeley professor Ulrike Malmendier, during which they likened the role of the CFO in navigating today鈥檚 business uncertainties to that of co-piloting a modern jet. 

鈥淎I is the next supercycle and has what it takes to create an effective cockpit for the CFO, including recommendations about real actionable options all the way to autopilot for less critical tasks,鈥 Asam said. He also warned that standing on the sidelines of technological progress is 鈥渁 sure recipe for falling behind in competition.鈥  

鈥淎s in prior tech supercycles, the entire competitive playing field is being completely reshuffled,鈥 he said.

New products

Building on this theme, Alam noted that while uncertainty is real and isn鈥檛 going away, it can be successfully navigated and turned into opportunities. To help customers achieve this, he announced several new and enhanced 麻豆原创 products. 

Among them, 麻豆原创 Supply Chain Orchestration is an AI-native application that uses a network knowledge graph to analyze real-time signals across a company鈥檚 multi-tier supply chain to detect risks and issues, such as extreme weather or tariffs. It then helps customers minimize disruptions by assessing the impact of these risks and suggesting alternatives to help minimize disruptions.   鈥淭hink of it like a GPS in your car which selects an alternative route to avoid traffic or tolls,鈥 Alam explained. In addition, he announced a major update to the 麻豆原创 Ariba solutions for source-to-pay suite, positioning 麻豆原创 Ariba as the most modern platform in the industry and the only truly AI-native source-to-pay solution鈥攁ll built on 麻豆原创 Business Technology Platform.

The human-AI partnership opportunity 

Turning to uncertainties over the future of work itself, 麻豆原创 Chief People Officer and Executive Board Member Gina Vargiu-Breuer, who is leading 麻豆原创鈥檚 own workforce transformation, was joined on stage by Ian Beacraft, founder and chief futurist of Signal and Cipher.

How? With innovative technologies that improve efficiency, boost customer loyalty, and unlock new revenue streams for retailers. Retail media is the name of the game here. According to the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Europe, it will generate some 鈧25聽billion in revenue in 2026鈥攎ore than twice as much as in 2022.

It鈥檚 the same story everywhere: Germany鈥檚 downtown shopping streets are struggling with high retail vacancy rates. Holstenstra脽e, one of the country鈥檚 oldest pedestrian shopping zones, is no exception. Here, in the heart of the Baltic Sea coast city of Kiel, capital of the state of Schleswig-Holstein, the store vacancy rate is 38.5%. In an effort to revive the city鈥檚 retail scene, its marketing department launched an innovative initiative known as Zukunftsraum (鈥渇uture space鈥). In the brick-and-mortar shopping environment of a pop-up store, retailers can explore the opportunities that new technologies bring. 鈥淐ollecting data and using it effectively is central to gaining a better understanding of customer requirements and to unlocking new revenue streams,鈥 K盲the Fleischer says. As an interim manager for business development on the Kiel pilot project, she knows that data collected in stores is the key to more effective and personalized marketing.

Grasping the power of a new business model

Enter retail media, an opportunity for retailers to generate additional revenue and bolster their cash-strapped coffers by selling physical and digital advertising space. 鈥淢any retailers have not yet recognized the value that this new form of advertising can unlock,鈥 says Marlene Lohmann, head of Marketing Research at Germany鈥檚 EHI Retail Institute. , she reports that while some front-runners鈥攊ncluding leading German retailers REWE, Lidl, OBI, dm, and Douglas鈥攈ave adopted this new business model, the retail landscape as a whole has a lot of catching up to do. 鈥淩etail media is still very much in its infancy,鈥 she says.

Address specific鈥痳etail industry needs to help achieve cost-effective transformation and sustainable growth

Yet its potential for the sector is immense. And ultimately, it鈥檚 a win-win for everyone: retailers profit from new sources of revenue and manufacturers can target potential buyers with greater precision. Quoting a consumer study by Kantar, Dirk Sperrfechter, an expert at the market research firm, says: 鈥淐onsumers rate contextually relevant advertising at the point of sale as particularly authentic and helpful.鈥 The number of touchpoints, he adds, also plays a key role in how retail media advertising is perceived.

Retail media unlocks a multitude of benefits

Retailers should be using these findings to their advantage. And, indeed, more and more are doing so, at least online. Sponsored ads are everywhere these days鈥攊n web shops, on social media, and in online newsletters鈥攂ut they still leave much to be desired in terms of personalization. But the potential of in-store solutions such as screens and digital totems often remains untapped as well. This is probably partly because different sales channels are often poorly integrated, making it difficult to consolidate the first-party data they generate.

鈥淲hat retailers need most of all if they want to unlock the added value of retail media are powerful technologies for collecting, cleansing, and enriching customer data,鈥 Lohmann says. Ultimately, they need to be able to analyze their first-party data in detail and segment it. If they do not have reliable metrics at their fingertips, they will struggle to persuade interested manufacturers and brands of the potential of the advertising space they want to sell.

This way, the end user can ask questions in natural language, and Joule does the hard work in the system to find information or answer.

Joule is already one click away in every 麻豆原创 application, but we also understand that customers store data across non-麻豆原创 systems, which should not prevent it from helping users. Joule cannot operate in a vacuum if it is going to offer real business value. That is why we are now expanding Joule to any application so that customers can access everything, everywhere, with the help of WalkMe.

Joule is breaking free to become omnipresent and accessible across non-麻豆原创 applications with the 麻豆原创 Joule action bar supercharged by WalkMe. By integrating Perplexity’s ability to address questions accurately and transparently with 麻豆原创鈥檚 business answer capabilities, we are bringing both worlds together: the power of Joule to answer business questions, and the power of Perplexity to understand what鈥檚 happening in the world.

Together with 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud, 麻豆原创 Knowledge Graph, and our integration with Perplexity, Joule can now seamlessly combine internal business data with real-world insights. Whether data is structured or unstructured, from systems or the broader web, Joule brings it all together, delivering intelligent answers in real time. .

Joule Agents: reason and act

Insight to action is a key principle of enterprise software. Businesses can access incredible insights by analyzing data, which they can use to arrive at conclusions before making a decision. Joule makes getting these insights through natural language simple. Now, Joule Agents can reason to fulfill the action part of the equation with other agents. This ability marks a paradigm shift in enterprise software that helps customers go from insight to action to reason and act with AI.

Joule Agents can reason and coordinate to autonomously execute tasks through multi-step, self-conceived workflows while always involving a human.

Envision an environmental health and safety agent assessing a new chemical entering a plant: This agent could ensure that inventory is not stored near reactive chemicals and then could consult with HR to verify that staff are qualified before recommending appropriate protective equipment. Additionally, the all-new accruals agent for finance reduces today鈥檚 manual work by 90 percent. This agent learns a customer’s accounting rules and then, using financial data, can propose the right accruals during financial close.

In this sense, as much as Joule is the new UI for AI, Joule Agents are reimagining the business process layer across 麻豆原创 Business Suite in an AI-native way. 

AI agent hub in 麻豆原创 LeanIX

As the number of agents across 麻豆原创 and third-party vendors grows, customers will need a way to discover agents and then govern and control what they do. This is precisely the role of the AI agent hub in 麻豆原创 LeanIX solutions: It offers a governance and control framework to manage all these agents.

Because 麻豆原创 LeanIX already knows our customers’ enterprise landscape, it can map every available AI agent to the business capability or process step it supports. This framework helps customers spot automation gaps and discover new AI agents to fill them. Tracking governance for each agent means customers can, for example, make sure agents meet ethical and compliance standards.

The AI agent hub in 麻豆原创 LeanIX will be generally available in the fourth quarter of 2025.

麻豆原创, NEURA Robotics, and NVIDIA

麻豆原创 announced a collaboration with NEURA Robotics and NVIDIA, unveiling a new era where 麻豆原创 Business AI moves to the physical world.

Through this collaboration, Joule Agents connect enterprise data and processes with NEURA鈥檚 advanced cognitive robots, ranging from mobile autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to humanoids, empowering businesses to automate real-world tasks such as adaptive manufacturing, autonomous replenishment, compliance monitoring, and predictive maintenance. The Mega NVIDIA Omniverse Blueprint plays a crucial role, enabling enterprises to validate and optimize robotic fleets in digital twins before deploying them on the shop floor or in the warehouse, thus ensuring safety, efficiency, and rapid scaling.

AI Foundation: the AI operating system business AI

We knew from the outset that Joule and Joule Agents needed a strong operating system. That is what 麻豆原创’s on 麻豆原创 BTP, our operating system for AI, now offers customers. AI Foundation gives developers a centralized set of tools to build, extend, and run custom AI solutions and agents at scale, all accessible via one entry point. AI Foundation already had more than 90 capabilities, and at 麻豆原创 Sapphire, we introduced over 60 more, such as AI Agent runtime, a brand-new AI evaluation service.

AI Foundation accelerates AI development by bringing together 麻豆原创 Business AI solutions such as generative AI hub, Joule Studio, 麻豆原创 Document AI, and 麻豆原创 Knowledge Graph. Centralizing and simplifying AI operations also reduces the total cost of ownership.

麻豆原创 Knowledge Graph gives Joule and Joule Agents more accuracy and context. It grounds AI in a customer’s business context and exposes metadata that makes the relationships between information accessible. This way, for example, an agent working on a customer service ticket knows the relationships between products and purchase orders. Initial support for the and solutions is expected to be generally available by the third quarter of 2025.

Other 麻豆原创 Business AI solutions are also getting new enhancements. For example, Joule Studio, which helps developers create custom AI, will get a new skill builder capability to help developers create custom skills for Joule. We are also adding an agent builder capability that allows developers to create custom AI agents using low-code and no-code capabilities. General availability is planned for the third quarter and fourth quarter of 2025, respectively.

AI Foundation offers the latest AI models, including GPT-4.1, Claude 3.7 Sonnet, and, most recently, Gemini 2.5 Pro. Customers can select from a range of self-hosted models on 麻豆原创’s GPU infrastructure, such as Mistral AI, Cohere, or Meta model families for more sovereignty and control. Customers can also pick from best-in-class, industry-specific models created by our partners. One example is Deloitte, which brings its unique finance and tax experience to the AI Foundation with Zora AI.

Deloitte plans to integrate Zora AI with 麻豆原创 Business AI, enabling customers to create intelligent digital workforces powered by agentic AI. Using 麻豆原创 BTP, Zora AI offers a suite of preconfigured agents capable of autonomously performing complex business tasks with precision and speed. When paired with 麻豆原创’s robust enterprise capabilities, and enhanced by the data access in 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud, Zora AI has the potential to transform how work gets done, helping customers unlock the full value of agentic AI. .

All these models deliver incredible results when the prompts are carefully designed. But herein lies a significant challenge: Once our customers are committed to a specific model, it can be difficult to change, as even subtle model updates can break carefully tuned prompts. That is why we worked hard to eliminate prompt engineering.

Prompt engineering is dead

Prompt engineering is dead; say hi to benchmark engineering. Prompt engineering requires customers to learn how to “talk” to the AI so it can effectively leverage its knowledge and capabilities to meet their specific needs. This process was manual and cost-intensive; above all else, it made it tedious and slow to change models.

I am excited to introduce 麻豆原创’s prompt optimizer, designed collaboratively with , a frontier AI lab renowned for its model-agnostic approach. Prompt optimizer is a capability of the generative AI hub in AI Foundation.

Switching models and optimizing prompts is time-consuming — it can take an organization days to migrate a single use case from one model to another — but it shouldn’t be. We wanted to tackle that challenge because customers need to be able to change models easily. Maybe a new model is better, more cost-effective, or unavailable in your country: Whatever the reason, switching models shouldn’t be difficult.

麻豆原创’s prompt optimizer automates this entire task. Selecting a new model automatically converts all existing prompts into optimized prompts for all the latest models using public benchmarks. This helps reduce the time needed to change models and optimizes them from days to only minutes of background processing.

The prompt optimizer now means 麻豆原创 customers can switch to the best available AI models for their specific use cases when they become available without any costly delays. It lays the groundwork for a multi-model future, where applications are decoupled from specific models and customers can utilize the most suitable model anytime.

We want organizations to seamlessly use AI capabilities without being locked into single-model dependencies, fostering flexibility and innovation in building AI solutions. A limited early access program is now available for , with general availability expected later this year.

These announcements, and many others, made at 麻豆原创 Sapphire in 2025 reaffirm our commitment to continually innovate and listen to feedback to meet our customers’ evolving needs. Take paperwork: Billions of documents are scanned into 麻豆原创 systems yearly. Extracting relevant information from documents manually is costly, error-prone, and inefficient. That is why I am excited to introduce , previously Document Information Extraction, which is natively integrated with 麻豆原创 applications.

麻豆原创 Document AI seamlessly processes, extracts, and understands structured and unstructured data from business documents while automating document processing. 麻豆原创 Document AI significantly reduces manual efforts and minimizes errors. Customers like Serax, a Belgian design brand, already use 麻豆原创 Document AI to reduce manual work by 33 percent.

麻豆原创 Document AI will build upon the well-established Document Information Extraction Base and Premium editions, preserving their proven capabilities while enhancing efficiency. In addition, later in 2025, we plan to introduce the Premium Plus edition to expand the product’s scope, ensuring smooth, out-of-the-box integration across the 麻豆原创 portfolio. We continually strive to innovate our products; the same applies to 麻豆原创 Document AI. That’s why we introduced instant learning to enhance the out-of-the-box accuracy of 麻豆原创 Document AI in the pursuit of reaching 100 percent. Suppose 麻豆原创 Document AI extracts something incorrectly from a document due to improper formatting. In that case, customers simply need to log in and correct the error once for the system to learn and avoid making the same mistake again.   • Cohere: 麻豆原创 is expanding its partnership with Cohere to bring secure, enterprise-grade generative AI models to the 麻豆原创 ecosystem, starting with Cohere’s  model and extending evaluations with the and models. These models are planned to be available alongside other leading AI models from 麻豆原创 and third parties in the generative AI hub in 麻豆原创 AI Core, with the intent to give customers more choice to build AI-powered solutions that meet their unique business needs.
  • Vianai Systems, Inc.: Vianai鈥檚 hila is an innovative generative AI conversational analytics application designed to engage a series of line-of-business executives. It currently focuses on empowering the office of the CFO, enabling direct interrogation of transactional systems. Our collaboration with Vianai centers on exploring how hila could complement established platforms such as Joule and the just ask feature in 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud by offering greater query precision and accuracy for non-麻豆原创 systems in the future. AI investments

The externally managed 麻豆原创.iO Fund has made an investment in Nova Intelligence. Nova Intelligence is building end-to-end AI coding agents that can parse and understand legacy custom ABAP 麻豆原创 code to modernize it into cloud-compliant applications. The AI agents iteratively test and refine the generated code until a successful outcome is achieved. Nova Intelligence is developing specialized AI agents to support the transformation of legacy custom code. .

New 麻豆原创 Business AI capabilities as part of the 麻豆原创 Sustainability portfolio

We鈥檙e introducing new AI capabilities in the 麻豆原创 Sustainability portfolio to help customers prepare data, automate processes, and enhance expertise. These innovations streamline environment, health, and safety (EHS) and product compliance processes and optimize risk and cost management while advancing sustainability goals. They will be available in beta in August 2025. New capabilities include:

On stage, Mercedes-Benz CIO Katrin Lehmann shared how 麻豆原创 helped the automotive company tackle recent challenges such as moving to the cloud and exploring custom AI options like Mercedes-Benz Direct Chat to add value for customers. 鈥淢oving to RISE with 麻豆原创 means that we can accelerate processes and leverage innovation,鈥 she said. Currently, Mercedes-Benz is exploring Joule as part of its RISE with 麻豆原创 journey.

鈥淭his is the year when AI is becoming a reality for business,鈥 Saueressig chimed in, noting that customers aim to distinguish their strategies for leveraging AI to stand out in the market.

By combining advanced AI technologies with enterprise resource planning (ERP), companies can unlock substantial enterprise value. However, this can best be achieved with partners, said Saueressig who announced the launch of an AI co-innovation program with Amazon Web Services (AWS.) This program brings together experts from the two companies as well as dedicated technical resources and cloud credits to define, test, and deploy generative AI apps on 麻豆原创 Business Technology Platform (麻豆原创 BTP) to solve critical business challenges.

Focus on productivity, embrace AI

Saueressig then welcomed Jan Gilg, chief revenue officer and president of 麻豆原创 Americas and Global Business Suite and member of the Extended Board of 麻豆原创 SE, on stage. Gilg opened his remarks with a sobering statistic: during the rise of software as a service (SaaS), global business productivity grew just 1.5 percent since 2005, compared to the first wave of ERP from 1995-2005 when it grew by a more robust 2.6 percent. While the cloud has unlocked the ability to consume technology faster, systems have become larger and more complex. His conclusion? 鈥淢ore technology alone does not automatically mean better business outcomes.鈥 He went on to say that what customers need are 鈥渋ntegrated business processes, especially in an uncertain business environment.鈥

In the era of agentic AI, establishing an integrated and harmonized enterprise foundation is essential, Gilg said. He described the reimagined 麻豆原创 Business Suite as data-driven and AI-powered, aimed at democratizing access to Business AI and said he is certain that this transformation can unlock a significant productivity boost.

Geoff Scott, CEO of the , joined the conversation, outlining the three top-of-mind topics among 麻豆原创 customers: global uncertainty, a return to simplicity, and productivity growth. One of the most inspiring transformation stories during the keynote came from Jeff Suellentrop, CTO of , a metals and mining company that was on the brink of bankruptcy when Suellentrop joined. In a capital-intensive industry, Phoenix Global was growing fast and its legacy tech stack couldn鈥檛 keep up.

鈥淲e basically replaced every system in the company,鈥 Suellentrop shared. The company鈥檚 move to 麻豆原创鈥檚 public cloud offering, choosing the GROW with 麻豆原创 journey, allowed it to streamline operations, reduce inventory, and improve asset utilization and resulted in a financial turnaround. 鈥淲e have returned millions and millions of dollars back into the business,鈥 Suellentrop said.

Scaling a global snacking empire with 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud

The final customer invited on stage was , the family-owned confectionery giant behind M&Ms, Snickers, and Milky Way. Will Beery, vice president and global CIO for Mars Snacking, and Praveen Moturu, global vice president of Digital Platforms at Mars Information Services, explained how the company uses 麻豆原创 Business Suite to support rapid growth and acquisitions. 鈥淲hen you think about our digital strategy and the architecture that needs to be there to enable these businesses, it has to be more global. It has to be more standard,鈥 Beery said.

Mars has adopted a three-tier ERP strategy to support its retail operations, acquisitions, and core business. The goal is harmonization and innovation focusing on simplifying and standardizing its IT landscape. Flywheel effect

麻豆原创 can do this by utilizing what Klein and other senior 麻豆原创 executives called the 鈥渇lywheel effect,鈥 explaining that in physics this is about bringing individual elements together to create new energy.

鈥淭he first element of the 麻豆原创 flywheel is our applications,鈥 Klein explained. 鈥淣ot only do we have the broadest application portfolio in our industry, we also run the most-mission critical business processes end-to-end. No one understands business and industry like 麻豆原创 does.鈥

The second element of the flywheel is data. 鈥淭he apps give us the richest treasure of mission-critical business data, and no other tech company has more access to semantically rich business data,鈥 he said.

This data then feeds into the third element of the flywheel: AI. Having access to an enormous amount of business data is key to developing extremely powerful Business AI.

鈥淭hen we make the flywheel spin by infusing AI back into the apps, which run your company,鈥 Klein said before introducing the first of several on-stage demos showing how a company can manage uncertainty like shifting tariffs with the power of 麻豆原创 Business Suite and AI.

Expanding the flywheel theme, Muhammad Alam, member of the Executive Board of 麻豆原创 SE leading 麻豆原创 Product and Engineering, noted that the demo highlighted how the flywheel of apps, data, and AI is critical to the company鈥檚 quest to reimagine business applications.

To achieve this, a company needs an application suite that is end-to-end and seamlessly integrated; a data layer that provides a harmonized data model with high-quality data, strong governance and a rich semantical context; and AI that is built on high-quality data and natively available in the apps used every day.

Alam noted that while the concept of the flywheel effect isn鈥檛 new and most company CIOs have been working hard to achieve it, they have been frustrated by the disparate and heterogeneous applications landscape often built up over time out of necessity.

Fragile balance

Most companies spend a significant amount of time and money integrating the apps they use together and extracting and bringing together disparate data sets. 鈥淚n fact,鈥 Alam said, 鈥淲e estimate that organizations can spend up to 80 percent of their effort and budget in putting together this fragile balance of apps and data, leaving only 20 percent of your resources to focus on value creation.鈥

While this fragile balance has existed for a while, he explained that it breaks down completely in the age of AI, because to create exponential value you need to have your data available with the end-to-end business process context. 鈥淓nabling this in a disparate, disconnected landscape is close to impossible,鈥 he said.

The only real solution is to move to a best of breed as a suite, or what 麻豆原创 calls 鈥渟uite-as-a- service,鈥 Alam told the audience. 鈥淭he new SaaS is what will allow you to take advantage of the flywheel effect.鈥

鈥淚n the age of AI, true differentiation will lie in how you create value from this end-to-end context for your organization,鈥 he said. 鈥淭his can only happen when you simplify and innovate your core, and not add another layer of complexity to your landscape.鈥

Klein and Alam also emphasized the importance of the launch of 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud in February and its positive reception from customers and partners. Klein described it as 鈥渢he crystal ball we need in times of uncertainty, because it offers you the biggest semantical data layer in the industry harmonizing 麻豆原创 and non-麻豆原创 data.鈥

Klein also announced the expansion of business data analysis capabilities in 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud through a new partnership with Palantir, while Alam unveiled a new partnership with Adobe to develop an intelligent application on 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud that combines 麻豆原创 Cloud ERP data with data in the Adobe Experience Platform.

To enhance the power of the flywheel, Klein and Philipp Herzig, CTO and chief AI officer of 麻豆原创, also made a series of AI-related announcements. 鈥淎t 麻豆原创, our goal is to make every end user 30 percent more productive,鈥 said Klein.

Joule

To achieve this goal, 麻豆原创 is enabling end users to use human language to interact with Joule, 麻豆原创鈥檚 generative AI copilot, as our new UX, he said. Joule will provide answers to any business questions they have, while in the backend, very smart Joule Agents will take over tasks from employees across end-to-end processes.

鈥淭oday we are proud to announce that we are making Joule available to you everywhere and giving you answers on everything,鈥 the 麻豆原创 CEO said. By combining Joule with WalkMe, the adoption platform acquired by 麻豆原创 last year, Joule becomes an omnipresent, always-on, proactive, and personalized AI assistant.

鈥淣o matter in which app the end user is working, 麻豆原创 or non-麻豆原创, Joule will be everywhere,鈥 Klein said.

In addition to making Joule available everywhere, 麻豆原创 is also enabling Joule to answer everything through a new partnership with Perplexity whose CEO, Aravind Srinivas, joined Klein onstage to demonstrate how Perplexity鈥檚 answer engine will integrate with 麻豆原创 data to provide trusted answers to everyday business questions.

Business AI

During his keynote section, Herzig highlighted the progress made with 麻豆原创 Business AI. 鈥淲e committed that 80 percent of our most-used transactions would be managed via Joule, and we have delivered more than 1,600 skills supporting a wide range of tasks across HR, finance, supply chain, and more out-of-the-box,鈥 he said. 鈥淲e also introduced Joule for developers and Joule for consultants, helping tens of thousands of people every day to achieve more.鈥

Herzig said 麻豆原创 is on track to deliver more than 400 AI scenarios by the end of this year, and he is thrilled to see more than 34,000 customers are already using 麻豆原创 Business AI every day to transform the way they work.

For example, he shared that British Telecom is already saving 85 percent of the time it took to find the right skilled candidates for jobs with Joule, which is also helping employees to complete HR tasks in 40 percent less time.

鈥淥ur AI strategy is super simple, it鈥檚 really about three things,鈥 Herzig said. 鈥淛oule as the new UI in the age of AI, its Joule Agents to reimagine business processes and AI Foundation on 麻豆原创 BTP, which is becoming the operating system for AI.鈥

Joule Agents

While Joule transforms the experience layer, Herzig said, Joule Agents are transforming the business process layer, 鈥渞eimagining business processes from the ground up.鈥 Instead of designing enterprise apps around the principle of 鈥渋nsight-to-action,鈥 Joule Agents streamline decision-making through reasoning and action.

鈥淲ith this, we are making a paradigm shift in enterprise software, going really from insight to action to reason and action with AI,鈥 Herzig said. 鈥淛oule Agents will take your business processes to a completely new level.鈥  Soon, he said, companies will have a huge team of agents 鈥 Joule Agents, third-party agents, and custom agents built in Joule Studio 鈥 as part of their workforce.

To control and govern these agents, Herzig announced the launch of AI agent hub in 麻豆原创 LeanIX. 鈥溌槎乖 LeanIX already knows your business processes and enterprise application landscape, so it was just a logical step to expand the methodology to Joule Agents too,鈥 he said.

Among other innovations, Herzig announced that 麻豆原创 is introducing more than 60 new and updated capabilities into AI Foundation, including a prompt optimizer in AI Foundation developed in joint collaboration with Not Diamond, a frontier AI lab out of San Francisco. Prompt optimizerautomatically converts existing prompts to different models, and a futuristic new partnership with Neura Robotics and Nvidia is designed to blend digital and physical worlds and help empower humanoid robots to achieve business outcomes.

  • Customer Intelligence: Guide sales, service, marketing, and commerce teams with a 360-degree customer view to anticipate needs, improve targeting, and build a comprehensive customer profile.  
  • Finance Intelligence: Provides CFOs and finance teams with real-time forecasting and planning, connected data across systems, and AI-powered anomaly detection. 
  • Spend Intelligence: Delivers procurement and operations leaders real-time spend visibility to minimize supplier risk, flag spend outliers, and reduce costs.

Each intelligent application in 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud is underpinned by curated, governed data products, sets of structured business data and metadata designed to accelerate use cases and reduce data integration overhead. Open data ecosystem: Expanding intelligence beyond 麻豆原创

We are also making 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud more accessible to power the next generation of intelligent, multi-cloud applications.

Starting in the second quarter, 麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud is available on AWS, with Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure expected to follow in the second half of 2025. AI Foundation gives developers a single entry point for building, extending and running custom AI solutions at scale, making it the first real operating system for Business AI. A new prompt optimizer, designed collaboratively with the frontier AI lab Not Diamond, also helps developers create more effective AI prompts quickly, reducing work on complex use cases from days to minutes.

Data that drives smarter decisions

麻豆原创 Business Data Cloud is planned to be available in three Google Cloud regions in Q2 2025, including India, Frankfurt, and Iowa, with more to follow over the coming year
