Design a Circular Future with New open麻豆原创 Course /2023/04/design-circular-future-opensap-course/ Tue, 18 Apr 2023 12:00:35 +0000 /?p=204151 A new open麻豆原创 course,聽, addresses how we can create the products we need in a circular way, designing out the overwhelming waste, pollution, and harms to natural systems that are hallmarks of our current linear economy model.

The global waste problem is growing, with of the 100 billion tons of materials we consume annually making it back into circulation. Plastic waste is one catastrophic example, with the equivalent of one garbage truck of plastic getting in our oceans every minute, on top of the that have already accumulated. Once produced, plastic can endure for hundreds of years, breaking down into what are known as microplastics and slowly poisoning natural habitats and animals, which directly impact the well-being and economic livelihoods of millions of people. Despite this stark reality, global demand for plastic continues to rise, with production expected to by 2050.

This is a global crisis requiring immediate and sustained action. To tackle the plastic waste problem, we must commit to a 聽model, where we eliminate waste and pollution, recirculate resources, and regenerate natural systems. The circular economy changes the way we source materials and make and use products.

What鈥檚 more, new regulations are putting pressure on global business to adopt a circular economy model. In March of last year, world leaders at the United Nations Environment Assembly to negotiate an international, legally binding instrument on plastic pollution by 2024. In the European Union (EU), the circular economy is a of the European Green Deal, a set of policy initiatives signed in 2020 with the aim of making the EU carbon neutral by 2050 and setting new requirements to make products more reusable and energy and resource efficient.

With an estimated of a product determined at the design stage, a key element of the circular economy is in the design of products and their packaging. Circular design at its most strategic level is a huge lever for the overall reduction of the environmental and climate footprint of products, as it considers all aspects of product development, including materials used and the manufacturing process. Most significantly, circular design considers what becomes of the product or its component parts once it has reached the end of its usefulness.

As Sarah Gillespie, customer success manager for Circular Economy at 麻豆原创, says, 鈥淒esign is an absolutely critical stage of product development where we can have an enormous impact for good. By following circular principles at the design stage, we can design out waste from the beginning instead of simply mitigating it.鈥 Circular design can also help to address the growing climate issue, since an estimated are linked to how we manage material flows for products.

Circular design helps organizations to review their processes and take steps towards using less raw materials and with more efficiency. But one of the biggest challenges for business to implement circular design is getting accurate data, which is crucial for assessing material flows and resource productivity. For example, companies need data to understand whether an organic material they are using in their product was regeneratively grown. Technology will play a fundamental role in enabling businesses to access the data that they need to make optimal material choices, create better supply chain transparency, and comply with government requirements. 麻豆原创 has both the technology and the responsibility to help global enterprises use the power of data, networks, and partnerships to achieve their targets and develop .

The new open麻豆原创 course,聽Designing a Circular Economy, offers customers, partners, and anyone interested in the topic a deeper understanding of how to apply circular design principles to their own business. 麻豆原创鈥檚 last course on this topic the circular economy and how to implement circular business practices. This new course will focus on how to create the products we need in a circular way, using a systems approach that considers how the constituent parts work together and evolve over time. In this course, you will learn about circular design, what role design plays in products and packaging, what is meant by regenerative design, what nature can teach us about product design, and how technology can help.

The course features many external speakers, including experts in circular design, packaging, and biomimicry to name just a few, such as , circular design programme lead at Ellen MacArthur Foundation, , cofounder of BioimicryNL, and , cofounder of PlasticFree.com.

Anyone can register for this free, on-demand, four-week course, which begins May 23, 2023, and involves just a few hours of coursework per week. During the course you can earn points, a record of achievement, and a digital badge that you can share on social media.

We encourage you to sign up and share it with your networks. The global waste problem is a humanitarian crisis that we must confront together. Arming ourselves with the knowledge to develop urgently needed solutions is a wonderful place to start.

麻豆原创 CTO Juergen Mueller at 麻豆原创 TechEd in 2021: We Can Reinvent the Global Economy /2021/11/sap-cto-juergen-mueller-at-sap-teched-in-2021-we-can-reinvent-the-global-economy/ Wed, 17 Nov 2021 13:15:16 +0000 /?p=192066 Juergen Mueller, chief technology officer and member of the Executive Board of 麻豆原创 SE, kicked off with a hard-hitting strategic view of the major challenges business face and how leaders and developers are partnering with 麻豆原创 to reinvent the global economy.

As companies and consumers struggle with the pandemic鈥檚 ongoing health and economic crises, supply chain disruptions remain the norm, and accelerated digital transformation demands cloud-based innovation. These challenges are taking place against the backdrop of increasing climate change and calls for equality.

Mueller discussed how we can reinvent the global economy to meet climate change targets, rethinking how we deliver and consume products and services, how we manage waste, and how we use technology. Pointing out that inequality was causing social unrest worldwide, Mueller said that organizations needed to help everyone develop the right skills, which would open opportunities for people to work where they fit best.

After going big with his global change vision, Mueller and his special guests went deep into 麻豆原创鈥檚 commitment to supporting its ecosystem of cloud-based innovators, spotlighting the latest solution announcements, real-world customer examples, demonstrations of new developer tools, and free access to learning resources.

麻豆原创 Helps Developers Innovate at Scale in the Cloud

In a preview of his developer keynote, 麻豆原创 developer advocate Rich Heilman shared how the just-announced 麻豆原创 S/4HANA Cloud, ABAP environment, equipped developers to build custom ABAP extensions for the public cloud offering 麻豆原创 S/4HANA Cloud.

Mueller said the objective was to make the ABAP environment for 麻豆原创 S/4HANA Cloud the environment to build tightly coupled extensions for all cloud editions of 麻豆原创 S/4HANA based on the public cloud APIs. This will help developers build upgrade-safe extensions and move toward a clean core. Equally important, it closes the last extension gap in 麻豆原创 S/4HANA Cloud to ease the transition from on premise to the cloud.

Making It Easy to Innovate on 麻豆原创 BTP

As an example of how 麻豆原创 continues responding to ecosystem innovation imperatives, Mueller announced the roll-out of the free tier model for 麻豆原创 BTP to individual developers, including and . He was joined by Steffen Pietsch, head of Product Management for 麻豆原创 BTP, who shared how developers can find available 麻豆原创 BTP services, as well as use case examples to help build proofs of concept, on .

Pietsch explained how a free tier makes it much easier to gain experience and start to innovate with 麻豆原创 BTP. Developers can now build their proofs of concept on 麻豆原创 BTP without any commitment; if they decide to move their applications toward productive usage, they can do so by changing from the free to the productive service plan without rebuilding the entire application in a different account.

Low-Code/No-Code Speeds Up Development on 麻豆原创 BTP

Acknowledging the tech talent gap and the growing importance of citizen developers, Mueller said that 麻豆原创 has doubled down on investments in low-code/no-code tools, announcing the launch of a unified on 麻豆原创 BTP. He said that 麻豆原创 was introducing 麻豆原创 AppGyver for no-code development, and making the available for low-code development. He also previewed , a no-code automation solution, showing the audience how non-technical business people, along with designers and experienced developers, can extend 麻豆原创 Service Cloud with machine learning to quickly resolve customer service issues and speed up order approvals.

Mueller said that low-code/no-code means both citizen and professional developers can increase productivity and innovate at scale, reflecting how business and IT work together. He saw this unlocking a new order of magnitude of value creation for individuals and society at-large.

Gain 麻豆原创-Specific Knowledge Free of Charge

Reinforcing 麻豆原创鈥檚 commitment to developer learning, Mueller outlined the company鈥檚 newly-launched learning experience, . The centerpiece consisted of seven 麻豆原创 BTP-specific learning journeys, with more to come.

New open麻豆原创 Course on the Circular Economy /2021/09/new-circular-economy-course-opensap/ Wed, 22 Sep 2021 13:15:28 +0000 /?p=188422 The world is on track to increase waste generation by over the next 30 years. Much of this garbage is plastic, and it鈥檚 no surprise why: plastic production increased from and is expected to double to 896 million by 2050. Now, about 8 million tons of plastic waste winds up in the ocean each year.

George Leonard, , says, 鈥淚f we don鈥檛 get the plastic pollution problem in the ocean under control, we threaten contaminating the entire marine food web, from phytoplankton to whales. And by the time the science catches up to this, perhaps definitively concluding that this is problematic, it will be too late. We will not be able to go back. That massive amount of plastic will be embedded in the ocean鈥檚 wildlife essentially forever.鈥

Clearly, the time for action is now. 鈥淲e must rethink, innovate, and implement at an unprecedented pace and scale to enable a thriving future for environment, economy, and society,鈥 says Thomas Saueressig, member of Executive Board of 麻豆原创 SE, Product Engineering.

It can be easy to feel overwhelmed by the enormity of the waste crisis facing the planet. Through education, the leaders of today can be empowered to change how we consume, how we operate, and how we do business.

That thriving future will not be built on the current disposable culture but instead by embracing the model, one in which waste is eliminated, resources are recirculated, and nature is regenerated.

As a leader in business software — including product design and manufacturing, supply chain and logistics, and product lifecycle management — 麻豆原创 has both the technology and the responsibility to help global enterprises to develop circular systems. Indeed, the company has already started this vital work by providing the tools to companies that are interested in the circular economy through .

With these business models already in place, a new open麻豆原创 course, , offers anyone — 麻豆原创 customer or not — a better understanding of how to apply these principles to their own business.

Specifically, three key principles are defined by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, an NGO dedicated to accelerating the adoption of this sustainable model:

  • Keep products and materials in use as long as possible
  • Design out waste and pollution
  • Regenerate natural systems

With these three directives as a guide, the free on-demand course features pioneering experts in the circular economy, such as , CEO of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, and , professor of Circular Economy and co-director of the Exeter Center for the Circular Economy. It also features environmental activists and sustainable product luminaries, including , an ocean advocate and co-founder of eXXpedition, a trip that took 300 remarkable women on a circumnavigation of the globe to study the problem of plastics in the ocean. , CEO and co-founder of Queen of Raw, a marketplace for sustainable textiles, is a featured lecturer.

is more than just a course. It tackles some of the most important issues of the day and is intended to change the global trajectory on waste by bringing businesses into the process. According to Saueressig, 鈥淣ow more than ever, to achieve circularity, we must connect linear fragmented supply chains into unified, collaborative, and intelligent business networks that enable the reuse of materials.鈥

At 麻豆原创, we believe that technology is an important enabler to driving a circular and regenerative economy. It鈥檚 not the whole answer, but a key part of the solution. We need organizations to come together to tackle this, so 麻豆原创 has launched the course to help spread the word and evangelize on why we must move to a world of zero waste — and move now.

The course begins October 4, 2021, and is free and open to anyone who wants to make a difference to the future of the planet.Content is available on demand. , and share it with your networks.

Participating in just a few hours of coursework each week provides a cutting-edge education in how to bring the principles of a circular economy to businesses operating today. In five weeks, participants can gain a new understanding of this pivotal concept for their edification and to share with friends and colleagues, and see how to apply this to their own organizations.

In addition, it鈥檚 a valuable opportunity for team building. There are many options for collaboration within the course, including a discussion forum as well as optional peer-graded teamwork activities to gain extra credits. Those who complete all coursework will be eligible for a Record of Achievement certificate.

Importantly, participants will also be engaging with a vital concept that is already helping to build a sustainable future through partnerships between 麻豆原创 and their clients. This course could be the first step on the journey to a better future for all.

Getting Ahead of the Skills Curve /2021/07/getting-ahead-skills-curve/ Tue, 06 Jul 2021 13:00:46 +0000 /?p=186488 What鈥檚 the uber skill? The ability to constantly learn, evolve, update, or even un-learn relevant skills. Today, training workforces to acquire that mindset of continuous learning is everything. We spoke with Stefan Haenisch, senior vice president of 麻豆原创 Learning Strategic Initiatives at 麻豆原创, to dive deeper into his perspective, especially as he comes out of the World Economic Forum鈥檚 summer event, , and recently published an for WEF about the critical lessons in workforce skilling and lifelong learning.

Q: In your article for the World Economic Forum, you discuss the importance of connecting business strategy to workforce skills. Can you share what this looks like and why it鈥檚 so essential?

A: Every company plots out its business strategy. But how often does it think about how this relates and aligns with its people strategy and strategic workforce planning and skill building?

For example, if our strategy is to use to make our products smarter, we must simultaneously be asking ourselves how we can on the required skills to drive this vision.

Skill training shouldn鈥檛 be an afterthought. Instead, by connecting skills and strategy from the very beginning, companies can proactively adapt and more effectively position themselves for long-term success.

How does an organization develop skills for the future when things are changing so frequently and we can鈥檛 possibly know what the world will look like in the next couple of years?

As we saw with , things may go differently than predicted. Companies must embrace ambiguity and disruption when it comes to skills for the future. A recent article in the noted, 鈥淚f you focus on building individual micro skills, you may be missing the bigger picture.鈥 Indeed, there are 鈥榚xpiration dates鈥 on technical skills as innovation emerges, so companies must establish a culture that encourages agility and experimentation in the workforce 鈥 and, not least, motivates continuous learning 鈥 in order to yield sustainable success. Soft skills like dealing with uncertainty, staying curious, as well as embracing and tolerating ambiguity are the foundation of employees being ready for the future. They can then quickly and continuously keep up the relevant hard skills.

asserts that the in our technology-driven world is about 鈥渃reating an environment where organizations can optimize human potential鈥 and 鈥渆mpowering workers with agency and choice over what they do, unleashing their interests and passions.鈥 What this means is that the ultimate skill is being able to continuously learn in a constantly changing business environment. Fostering agile, innovative mindsets and curiosity throughout the workforce 鈥 promoting not only the need to learn, but the want to learn 鈥 helps companies to think big and earn a competitive edge.

How do offerings at 麻豆原创 help support strategic workforce planning and continuous learning?

At 麻豆原创, we value ongoing learning as part of the foundation for success. In the fast-moving tech sector where skill demand changes faster than in other industries, we鈥檙e constantly evolving our learning offerings to support the hard and soft skills needed to help people stay competitive.

Inside 麻豆原创, for example, we look at a long and successful track record in deploying skills management to effective resource management in our consulting business and are now evolving this to support dynamic and forward-looking workforce planning and development.

Our customers can benefit from our experience as we are incorporating the best practices we learned in people and skills management into our 麻豆原创 SuccessFactors solutions. When it comes to helping our customers and partners build and sustain 麻豆原创 product skills, our digital learning offerings, and , work to provide easy-to-use, engaging content for learners to explore, build, and maintain relevant skills. Additionally, we help support career planning around the skills that learners are honing, working to provide the right learning journey targeted to each learner鈥檚 goals.

Our mission is to create learning and development opportunity for all across the 麻豆原创 ecosystem. We aim to empower鈥痚veryone to successfully build 麻豆原创 software skills using future-oriented content delivered in different formats to fit individual ways of learning. By better aligning strategic workforce planning and business strategy at the onset, as well as becoming laser-focused on a workplace culture that values agility and curiosity, businesses can get ahead of the skills curve.

Process Improvement Means More Than Developing Apps at Sun Chemical /2021/04/sun-chemical-process-improvement-apps/ Tue, 27 Apr 2021 12:15:14 +0000 /?p=184764 In 2016, the IT team behind Sun Chemical embarked on a journey to learn more about design thinking via . Since then, the team has been systematically improving the operational effectiveness and efficiency of business processes through design-led workshops, bringing over 200 麻豆原创 Fiori apps to life to support their daily work.

Sasi Reddy, senior 麻豆原创 solution architect at Sun Chemical, shares the team鈥檚 user experience (UX) transformation journey, the biggest takeaways, and what it takes to be a UX champion.

From Theory to Action with an open麻豆原创 Course on Design Thinking

Sun Chemical is a recognized leader in printing inks, coatings, pigments, and supplies for the packaging, publication, commercial, industrial, and digital markets. With over 20,000 employees spread across 63 locations around the world, Sun Chemical relies on lean business processes to ensure its field service workers and customers can quickly and easily maintain field data and enter new requests on the go, both on- and offline.

To further enhance their knowledge of design thinking and to learn how this methodology could be applied to both process improvements and application development, Reddy and his team took part in the open麻豆原创 course 聽 in 2017. The core of the methodology is developing empathy for users by putting oneself in their shoes. Design thinking also relies on prototyping and a strong iterative process rather than on intuition, something which Sun Chemical has embraced fully. Since completing the course, the team has worked with a few 麻豆原创 partners, and later independently, to offer design thinking services to the entire company, with 15 major design-led projects to date.

麻豆原创 Fiori Apps Support Lean Business Processes

Over the past five years, Sun Chemical has groomed an elite team of UX champions that leverage design thinking to accelerate and digitize its processes. A key factor in the team鈥檚 success has been to build tailored 麻豆原创 Fiori apps that support an agile development approach. This method scales and requires a minimal investment. It allows the team to build apps for a system that runs on 麻豆原创 ERP, which聽 plans to migrate to 麻豆原创 S/4HANA later.

If you ask Reddy which of the more than 200 existing apps he鈥檚 most proud of, there are many that come to mind, such as the Regulatory Inquiry App and the Raw Material Request App, both of which emerged from a prototype developed during the 2016 open麻豆原创 course and have since been rolled out globally.

One example that captures the business impact of the UX transformation is the Field Service App.

From Workshop to Real Life: The Field Service App

A remote design thinking workshop was kicked off in 2018 to determine how to better manage the day-to-day activities for European field service engineers who relied on using a mix of e-mails and spreadsheets to maintain their work order history and incoming requests. The workshop included the field engineers, their supervisors, the administrator who orchestrated the work orders, and developers from India. From the workshop emerged the idea to develop an application that contains all the information in one place.

The app, which was developed in a few short weeks, makes it easy to track what service has previously been done for a specific customer and supports detailed reports on previous work orders. Naturally, it allows field service workers to easily enter new orders and incorporates a digital signature on native iOS mobile devices, something which the workshop participants were 鈥渞eally surprised that we could deliver on so quickly,鈥 says Reddy. Since the rollout in Europe, the app has been immediately accepted by its users and has made its way to North and South American field service workers as well.

It鈥檚 About the Mindset, Not Just the Apps

There is no doubt that the design thinking method requires a significant time investment from those involved. From the initial workshop, where research, user empathy, and ideation take place, to the design process that relies on numerous iteration cycles with end users, you have to put in the work to ensure the end result solves the problem at hand and meets users鈥 expectations.

Reddy agrees that the effort is time consuming. He and his UX champion colleagues spend a lot of time taking part in collaboration calls with teams who are currently . They receive feedback on the applications on a daily basis to ensure the transition to the new user experience goes smoothly.

But Reddy has also seen the fruits of his team鈥檚 labor: 鈥淧eople are seeing the value of it. Our departments have seen our work. It鈥檚 been almost four years. Previously, we drove design thinking; now people request it from us. And not necessarily to build apps, though everyone鈥檚 now on board with 麻豆原创 Fiori, but to improve processes in general. The mindset has really changed in our company.鈥

open麻豆原创 Provides Online Learning During a Pandemic /2020/08/online-learning-opensap-during-covid-19/ Wed, 26 Aug 2020 14:15:47 +0000 /?p=177841 Earlier this year, the world came to a standstill. Almost overnight, life as we knew it changed due to COVID-19. Many employees moved to working permanently from home while many others were furloughed and left searching for new careers to get back to work — in-person training to assist them cancelled.

With an urgent need to facilitate online learning, open麻豆原创 was ready to meet the huge demand of the 麻豆原创 ecosystem, as well as those searching for new opportunities.

For seven years, open麻豆原创 has been providing online learning and was well equipped to deal with the situation. The platform was already popular within the 麻豆原创 ecosystem but saw an incredible upsurge in new learners as a result of the pandemic.

Thinking about how it could help people even more in the current situation, the team came up with the idea of opening courses from previous years to allow learners to catch up and earn certificates. This provided an opportunity for learners to explore things they might have missed now that they were forced to rethink their working lives.

Demand for this was very strong: Between March 31 and June 30, more than 25,000 records of achievement and over 35,000 confirmations of participation were awarded in self-paced courses, with the initiative receiving significant positive feedback from learners.

To provide further support to learners, open麻豆原创 also became the home for the company鈥檚 digital learning initiative, where online content from across all 麻豆原创 training areas was made accessible for teachers, pupils, students, and professionals.

鈥淟ife changed so suddenly,” Michaela Laemmler, global head of open麻豆原创, said. “We were glad to be in a position to provide additional support for those who were ready to start learning online and looked to open麻豆原创.鈥

With the increase in new learners during the pandemic, the open麻豆原创 team was interested in learning more about its extended audience. Learners were invited to take part in a feedback survey over a period of eight days in June. Results from more than 3,500 learners were very similar to the results received in the individual surveys that are carried out at the end of each course. Based on the survey, customer satisfaction rate is at 98 percent, while 91 percent said that the content they learn at open麻豆原创 will help them in their future work, and 99 percent planning to continue learning at open麻豆原创 in the future.

In addition to massive open online courses (MOOCs), open麻豆原创 expanded its offering in recent years to include microlearning and podcasts. The Power of Adopting a Continuous Learning Mindset /2020/06/adopting-continuous-learning-mindset-sap-learning-hub/ Tue, 23 Jun 2020 13:00:16 +0000 /?p=174250 If you think of a traditional learning curve, it starts at the very bottom, where an individual works aggressively to move up a steep incline of acquiring new information and experience. After some time pushing up the hill, the curve eventually levels off when competence sets in.

Today, as developments and innovation in technology constantly change our world and how we work, we are forced to more regularly tackle new learning curves and shift our mindset to one of continuous learning.

Technology companies need to keep up with this rapid pace of change and offer platforms to enable continuous learning for their various audiences. While many recognize the need to empower their employee base to learn new skills and stay up-to-speed with the latest trends, it is also equally important to provide learning opportunities for the future workforce as well as customers.

Cultivating a Future-Focused Workforce

When it comes to a company鈥檚 employee base, we have seen a tremendous focus on upskilling. As defines it, upskilling is about 鈥渢aking current skills and refining them鈥 鈥 helping employees learn how to perform their jobs better amid disruption within organizations and industries. 鈥,鈥 published by the World Economic Forum in 2018, indicated that 54 percent of all employees will require reskilling and upskilling by 2022. This past January, the World Economic Forum鈥檚 related report on the 鈥溾 further underscored upskilling priorities across various professional fields.

However, we need to look at upskilling today as more than just another trend arising from companies鈥 digital transformations. Rather, it is a powerful opportunity to fuel sustained growth 鈥 both within a company and across the entire industry at large. By cultivating a future-focused workforce that places value on consistently upskilling, we can improve upon and even develop new core competencies while ensuring that the next generation is well prepared to join in.

Fostering Continuous Learning Among Customers

At 麻豆原创, we strive to help customers transform and become intelligent enterprises while also serving as a partner along the learning journey continuum to equip customers鈥 employees with all the tools and training resources they need to become 鈥渋ntelligent鈥 as well. While customers take steps forward to digitally transform their business processes to stay competitive within the market, they must also ensure that their employees are taking similar steps forward to learn the necessary skills for navigating these new processes.

This is where 麻豆原创 Learning Hub comes in. Unique in its ability to provide digital learning for all areas of the 麻豆原创 ecosystem, 麻豆原创 Learning Hub offers unmatched opportunities to build and maintain needed skills. Several different editions are available, including the professional, business, and solution editions. In this series, Jablokov speaks about his life journey, from his early childhood in Greece to founding a voice recognition company where he developed the beginnings of Alexa, Amazon鈥檚 world-famous digital assistant, as well as his latest venture, Pryon.

Through these interesting and informative podcasts, listeners can learn more about augmented intelligence鈥攚here it comes from, how it can be used, and what the future might look like. In the first episode, now available, Jablokov explains that augmented intelligence is nothing to be feared. Its purpose is not to replace humans with robots in the workplace, but to eliminate repetitive tasks that inhibit human creativity. In doing so, people can be empowered to use their imagination to work more effectively.

Many assume that creators of successful products and leaders of companies come from well-to-do families, attend expensive schools, and have a head start in life. Jablokov describes his background, moving from a small Greek island with no electricity or television to the U.S. When he arrived, he spoke no English, but, undeterred, he learned and eventually mastered the global language of computer programming. Jablokov then paired that skill with the creativity and imagination of his artistic side to advance the emerging field of artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented intelligence.

After a successful career at IBM, Jablokov left to pursue an idea that many people thought was crazy at the time 鈥 enabling voice control by adding microphones to devices in people鈥檚 homes. He has experienced the highs and lows of having a creative mind. With the popularity of digital assistants on the rise over the last few years, it is clear that Jablokov鈥檚 idea has come to life and was a truly innovative vision that benefits many households today. Thanks to his determination, we now have virtual personal assistants to help make our lives more enriching.

Like Steve Jobs鈥 vision of bringing computing to everyone, Jablokov and his team at Pryon are mission-oriented to bring universal access to AI.

Jablokov is a visionary leader with an incredible passion that encourages those around him to combine the worlds of technology and art, driving their work to new heights. Subscribe to this to hear his thoughts on AI today and the possibilities for the future.

New open麻豆原创 Course: Why HXM Is Important for Your Company /2020/05/new-opensap-course-on-hxm-importance/ Mon, 18 May 2020 12:15:55 +0000 /?p=171307 Most human resources (HR) professionals are familiar with the term human capital management (HCM), which refers to processes that align workforces with business needs. But some are less familiar with the newer concept of human experience management (HXM).

On the surface, HCM and HXM sound very similar, but there are important differences between the two. To help customers understand the new concept of HXM and why it matters, 麻豆原创 invites them to join a free open麻豆原创 course, 鈥.鈥

The emergence of HXM is a result of the digitalization of work and the greater levels of competition, disruption, learning, and stress this has created for companies and employees. As the pace of change accelerates in the world, companies increasingly need more from employees, and employees expect more from companies. This is where HXM plays a role.

HXM is about creating work experiences that align employee wants and expectations with company goals, putting both on the same level. Employee experience links company decisions to business outcomes by connecting experience data (X-data) to operational data (O-data). Ensuring that employees enjoy their workplace experiences can help companies create a sustainable, agile, and productive workforce.

The open麻豆原创 course covers a variety of topics, including why HXM matters, the difference between HCM and HXM, and how to shape employee experiences. Participants can also learn about measuring and managing employee experiences as well as how to get started with an HXM strategy.

The course starts on May 26 and is open to everyone interested in learning about HXM. Once the course is open, participants can access all the learning content and connect with experts and other learners in the discussion forum. For those interested in earning a Record of Achievement for the course, they can do so until June 24.

Building Resilience in Times of Turbulence with Intelligent ERP /2020/04/resilience-business-continuity-intelligent-erp/ Mon, 27 Apr 2020 13:45:18 +0000 /?p=170740 In the waves of change, we find our true direction. With preparedness and precision, we embrace the chaos with confidence. We can minimize risk, maximize opportunities, and emerge with greater strength than ever before.

麻豆原创 was founded nearly 50 years ago with a very clear purpose: to help the world run better and improve people鈥檚 lives. Now more than ever, you can count on us to help. In fact, just last month 麻豆原创 supported the .

But this crisis is affecting all aspects of our lives — health, society, economy. To survive, companies will have to define and focus on their core competence, drive deeper customer relationships, develop new business models, adapt their supply chains, streamline their operations, and manage their finances. Those that have an intelligent backbone to support their business functions will be able to do this quickly and will emerge stronger.

I am proud to see how we are all working together as well as the care that 麻豆原创 customers are showing in this crisis. They are rapidly changing supply chains to cater for emergency supplies, changing production lines to produce products that are in need, altering work patterns, and doing whatever it takes to deliver the services and products that their customers need.聽 This means changing business focus quickly and includes a renewed reliance on data and business insights to rapidly take the pulse on business and react effectively. In short, we are helping our customers ensure business continuity and deliver results in these challenging times.

Business Continuity: Trust and Reliability

No matter what the situation, 麻豆原创 has always been trusted to keep business running. Above all, this means protecting operations and managing change safely and quickly. 麻豆原创 stands ready, by your side, to help as your business changes. We can help rapidly implement solutions, turn on existing functionality, and help ensure that it is all managed with long-term digital transformation in mind.

We understand the challenge of business disruption and remote work that all organizations are facing, and we support changes in business focus. This demands environments that are secure, accessible, and controlled to ensure business continues to run while also adapting to new needs.

As employees are asked to work from home, managing both internal processes and external customer and vendor relationships remotely presents a changed management structure that puts technology in the center. This is where 麻豆原创 can help; for example, with cloud deployments, access to free to stay informed. We have also to help buyers and suppliers connect amid the global supply chain disruption.

Keep Running and Adapt Quickly

Just as we see manufacturing companies take on new production lines to adapt to a changing landscape, others are refocusing on their core competence of design or innovation, using subcontract supply, production, and logistics to deliver product. This puts greater importance on being able to operate in a dynamic, virtual world with access to business networks and solutions such as Ariba Network for suppliers and 麻豆原创 Fieldglass solutions for contingent labor. These solutions can be turned on quickly as extension of an intelligent ERP solution.

And as organizations change, so too, do their employees. Using intelligent technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotic process automation (RPA) to act based on rapidly changing, data-driven insights allows organizations to continue to have operations run smoothly and allocate precious employee effort to more mission-critical tasks.

In addition, companies keep adopting new business models; for example, by offering value-added services in addition to products. This requires uniting business processes end-to-end with the real world and a deep domain expertise by line of business and industry.

麻豆原创 provides that scope of tools, the line-of-business coverage, and the industry expertise needed to carry you forward.

At the core of 麻豆原创 is 麻豆原创 S/4HANA, with 13,800 customers by the end of 2019. 聽麻豆原创 and partners are supporting the acceleration of the move to 麻豆原创 S/4HANA with rapid return on investment and high value returns in short times.

Together, Our Values Will Define the New Normal

I am proud to be part of 麻豆原创 and know we can play our role in helping ensure your business continues, adapts, and thrives in this challenging environment. Never has speed, agility, and depth of service been more important.

麻豆原创 is committed to partner with you as we work together to make the world run better and improve people鈥檚 lives.
