That ROI is expected to grow to 36% in two years\u2019 time, equivalent to USD$10.3m (SGD$13.3 million).<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The research\u00a0\u2013\u00a0which surveyed 2,600\u00a0business leaders across 13 countries, including 200 from Singapore\u00a0\u2013\u00a0shows that over eight in ten Singaporean businesses\u00a0(89%)\u00a0believe agentic AI has moderate to\u00a0very high\u00a0potential to transform their\u00a0organization. Yet it\u00a0remains\u00a0early days for\u00a0the technology, with only 2% of businesses saying they are fully prepared for agentic AI. But value will not come from AI adoption alone. Today, over a quarter of all tasks\u00a0(27%)\u00a0in the average Singaporean business are supported by AI. This is expected to increase to 47% in two years.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">However, many\u00a0organizations\u00a0are still building the leadership,\u00a0skills\u00a0and operating models\u00a0required\u00a0to scale AI effectively.\u00a0Less than\u00a0half of Singaporean companies have a dedicated AI leader responsible for AI adoption, at 45%. Even fewer\u00a0(32%)\u00a0have leadership KPIs for AI or provide training on AI capabilities and risks\u00a0(37%).<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This is creating growing pressure on workforce planning and skills. That means organizations need to treat AI capability as a business capability. The share of businesses that say they are data-ready for AI dropped from 62% in 2025 to 55% in 2026. At the same time, 82% of companies revealed challenges with incomplete data. These issues are already affecting business operations, with 81% of businesses experiencing rework,\u00a0delays\u00a0or backlogs due to low-quality AI\u00a0outputs.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Governance is another critical obstacle. Today, 27% of Singaporean companies do not have a human-in-the-loop process for agentic workflows, 30% do not have permission and access controls for agents, and only 40% have a registry of the agents in their business.
