Singapore 鈥� March 13, 2026 鈥� today announced that it will partner with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to hire and train AI scientists and Machine Learning engineers, deepening its role as a global engineering hub for enterprise artificial intelligence and reaffirming its support for Singapore鈥檚 AI ambitions. 麻豆原创 Labs East Asia Singapore has already been contributing to 麻豆原创 global AI innovation including its first set of enterprise AI agents embedded within 麻豆原创鈥檚 core cloud applications.

The announcement was made today at 麻豆原创 d-com Singapore 2026, the company鈥檚 local annual developer conference, with Guest-of-Honor Mr. Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information and Ministry of Health, in attendance.

Through IMDA鈥檚 TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) initiative, 麻豆原创 Labs East Asia Singapore (formerly known as 麻豆原创 Labs Singapore) will hire and train 50 graduates and mid-career professionals over the next three years to work on high-priority development tracks spanning generative AI, model orchestration and enterprise AI agents. Trainees undergoing this 12-month , will also have the opportunity for rotations or short-term placements at other 麻豆原创 Labs in countries such as Germany, United States, and India.

This announcement comes as 麻豆原创 Labs East Asia Singapore surpasses a major milestone in its growth journey. Since committing in 2023 to expand its local AI talent pool, the Singapore team has tripled in size by growing to almost 400 engineers. Today, more than 90% of its AI workforce comprises local hires from universities including the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Launched in 2022 in partnership with the Economic Development Board (EDB), 麻豆原创 Labs East Asia Singapore has filed close to 160 patents for AI innovations developed locally, including 57 in the past three years alone.

The 麻豆原创 Business AI product engineering team, which is part of 麻豆原创 Labs听East Asia听Singapore, is leading the development and delivery of听numerous听AI capabilities.

Examples include:听

• Numerous听Joule scenarios for 麻豆原创 S/4HANA,听Intelligent Spend and Business Networks (ISBN)听and听麻豆原创 SuccessFactors听to fast track the execution of various information retrieval, navigational and information extraction business听processes.

• Various听embedded Generative AI capabilities in 麻豆原创 SuccessFactors to achieve productivity gains for employees, such as compensation insights generation, goals generation, or career insights generation.

• New capabilities for Document AI, including Document Information Extraction, Instant Learning, support for shipping听documents, delivery notes, new听languages听and file types.

Unlike consumer AI tools, these agents are engineered for mission-critical environments, integrating natively into 麻豆原创 systems to ensure reliability, security and compliance at enterprise scale. Scales Momentum of Almost Three-Times Team Growth and Numerous Patents Filed

SINGAPORE 鈥� March 19, 2025 鈥� 麻豆原创 Labs Singapore today announced its collaboration with National University of Singapore (NUS) under the Industrial Postgraduate Programme (IPP). Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), the IPP is designed to enable globally-leading companies to nurture postgraduate talent with critical research skills. Through this program, 麻豆原创 Labs Singapore will hire and complete training for nine researchers in its AI team in Singapore by end-2030, adding to the continued growth of the lab.

Since 2019 鈥� before AI became the buzzword it is today 鈥� we鈥檝e collaborated with more than 80 enterprises here in Singapore, co-developing AI-driven solutions to make a tangible impact not only on their businesses, but Singapore鈥檚 economy at large.

In 2022, for example, we launched Southeast Asia鈥檚 first 麻豆原创 Labs here in Singapore. The Labs was set up to drive deep technology innovation in areas like , and advancing transformative听digital supply chain,听听and听听solutions.

In all, 麻豆原创 has invested almost S$300 million over the years in driving the development of cutting-edge technology in Singapore.

Today, I am thrilled to share the latest significant milestone in our journey of innovation 鈥� a fresh investment of S$12 million in our Digital Innovation Accelerator dedicated to boosting the adoption of Business AI in Singapore鈥檚 most critical industries: advanced manufacturing, financial services, and travel and logistics.

(Jakarta, Indonesia, 24 October 2023) – , together with ASEAN Foundation, held the regional finals of its flagship programme, ASEAN Data Science Explorers (ASEAN DSE) to empower youth-led social enterprises and young talent in ASEAN to create innovative solutions that deliver inclusive economic benefits across the region. Youth representatives of 10 ASEAN Member States have gathered in Jakarta to present data-driven proposals they developed using , a single solution for business intelligence and enterprise planning, augmented with the power of artificial intelligence, machine learning technology, and predictive analytics.

The team from Malaysia, Walaoeh, was named the Regional Winner of ASEAN DSE 2023, “We are very happy, not only because our proposal received the highest score, but also because this competition gave us valuable experience meeting friends from other ASEAN countries. ASEAN DSE 2023 is not only a data science explorer competition, it is a special competition that brings ASEAN youth closer, encourages us to think about inclusivity, and injects a consciousness to think about scaleability of ideas across ASEAN,” Yen May Lee and Jie Si Yee, both students at the University of Nottingham, Malaysia.

This year, ASEAN DSE brings the spirit of ‘Today’s Youth for Tomorrow’s World’ and invites ASEAN youth to optimise their role in overcoming socio-economic problems faced by the region. “ASEAN DSE is one of the flagship programmes designed to realise ASEAN’s vision to build a cohesive and prosperous community. You do this by utilising technology that can package data into a force that can be used to overcome socio-economic issues around us. Creativity and skills will be needed and for that ASEAN Foundation in collaboration with 麻豆原创 trains youth to explore data and science and use them to create products and services that can be solutions to issues faced by society,” said Dr. Piti Srisangnam, Executive Director of ASEAN Foundation.

鈥淒ata analytics and AI skills are the cornerstones of preparing Southeast Asia’s youth for the digital economy. The collaboration between 麻豆原创 and ASEAN Foundation has been ongoing since 2017 and until now has successfully trained and improved data analysis skills of more than 71,630 youth in 10 ASEAN Member States. “Together with ASEAN Foundation, 麻豆原创 encourages youths to continually enhance their data skills, gain insights into complex issues, and comprehend the impact of specific problems. The ability to analyse data can help generate innovative solutions that address solve the world鈥檚 social, economic, and environmental challenges,” Siow added.

The efforts of the 麻豆原创 and ASEAN Foundationalso received support from the Indonesian government. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology through the Director General of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Secondary Education (Dirjen PDM), Dr. Iwan Syahril, said that the ASEAN Data Science Explorers programme is in line with the government鈥檚 Merdeka Belajar (Emancipated Learning) initiative.

“The youth of today are deeply committed to addressing socio-economic challenges within their communities. They are eager to make a positive impact. This is where I believe how the ASEAN Data Science Explorers Programme is inline with the Emancipated Learning. Through one of our initiatives, Indonesian students for the first time in history are now able to learn outside of their campus for up to three semesters. The government is giving Indonesian students an opportunity to interact and work together with the community. More than 760 thousand students from all across the country have participated in the programme,” said Dr. Iwan at the ASEAN DSE 2023 Regional Finals.

ASEAN DSE continues to work towards realising 麻豆原创’s mission by encouraging diversity and inclusion in the technology sector to help South East Asia run better and improve people’s lives in a sustainable manner. The programme has seen 54% women beneficiaries empowered and impacted since its inception.

Today’s ASEAN DSE Regional Final was attended by 20 national champions from ten ASEAN countries, who presented findings and recommendations based on data analysis using 麻豆原创 Analytics Cloud in addressing socio-economic issues in six SDGs: 1) Clean Water and Sanitation, (2) Affordable and Clean Energy, (3) Decent Work and Economic Growth, (4) Sustainable Cities and Communities,听 (5) Responsible Consumption and Production, and (6) Climate Action.

Tahun ini, ASEAN DSE membawa semangat ‘Generasi Muda Masa Kini untuk Dunia Masa Depan’ dan mengajak generasi muda ASEAN untuk mengoptimalkan peran mereka dalam mengatasi permasalahan sosial-ekonomi yang dihadapi kawasan. “ASEAN DSE merupakan salah satu program unggulan yang dirancang untuk mewujudkan visi ASEAN dalam membangun komunitas yang kohesif dan sejahtera. Caranya adalah dengan memanfaatkan teknologi yang dapat mengemas data menjadi sebuah kekuatan yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan sosial-ekonomi di sekitar kita. Kreativitas dan keterampilan akan sangat dibutuhkan dan untuk itu ASEAN Foundation bekerja sama dengan 麻豆原创 melatih generasi muda untuk mengeksplorasi data dan sains dan menggunakannya untuk menciptakan produk dan layanan yang dapat menjadi solusi bagi permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat,” ujar Dr. Piti Srisangnam, Direktur Eksekutif ASEAN Foundation.

Kolaborasi antara 麻豆原创 dan ASEAN Foundation telah berlangsung sejak tahun 2017 dan hingga saat ini telah berhasil melatih dan meningkatkan kemampuan analisis data lebih dari 71.630 anak muda di 10 negara anggota ASEAN. “Bersama ASEAN Foundation, 麻豆原创 mendorong generasi muda untuk terus meningkatkan kemampuan data mereka, memperoleh wawasan tentang isu-isu yang kompleks, dan memahami dampak dari masalah-masalah tertentu. Kemampuan untuk menganalisis data dapat membantu menghasilkan solusi inovatif yang dapat menjawab tantangan sosial, ekonomi, dan lingkungan dunia,” tambah Siow.

Upaya ASEAN Foundation dan 麻豆原创 juga mendapat dukungan dari pemerintah Indonesia. Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi melalui Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, Pendidikan Dasar, dan Pendidikan Menengah (Dirjen PDM), Dr. Iwan Syahril, mengatakan bahwa program ASEAN Data Science Explorers ini sejalan dengan inisiatif Merdeka Belajar yang digagas oleh pemerintah. “Anak muda masa kini memiliki komitmen yang tinggi untuk mengatasi tantangan sosial-ekonomi di komunitas mereka. Mereka sangat ingin memberikan dampak positif. Di sinilah saya percaya bahwa program ASEAN Data Science Explorers sejalan dengan Merdeka Belajar. The program aims to help students enrich their work experience in the technology industry and can be a space for students who are interested in gaining professional experience in multinational companies.

According to 麻豆原创 Indonesia Managing Director Andreas Diantoro, this program which provides a holistic and strategic overview of employment in the technology industry, is 麻豆原创’s commitment to help build a solid career foundation for students. 鈥淭he 麻豆原创 STAR program demonstrates the two most important things needed in the world of work to the program participants, namely know-how (extensive knowledge) and know-who (extensive social network),” said Diantoro.听

The 麻豆原创 STAR program at 麻豆原创 Indonesia has been running for two periods, starting in 2022. Through an internship program with a full-year rotation system, students are able to explore knowledge through the environment dynamics in various parts of the company. The rotation system aims to prepare apprentice students in a mature way in building their technical skills, business skills, and personal skills as well as experiencing various roles and learning to deal with the problems of each division. Each division presents mentors as counselors and supervisors so that they can learn directly from and get various experiences and perspectives from 麻豆原创, as well as 麻豆原创 customers.听

Two students who had the opportunity to take part in this program in the 2022 period were Adelia Irawan (Della) and Ahmad Azka Kusuma Edy (Azka), from Gadjah Mada University who majored in Computer Science. The one-year program gives them experience and opens their eyes to the opportunity and challenges facing the technology sector in Indonesia and around the world today.听

“The 麻豆原创 STAR program taught me the nature and concrete reality of the technology industry that Indonesia is facing and its future projections. The rotation system sharpens understanding from various perspectives, starting from the perspective of marketing, customers, and even external media. I understand more and more the importance of optimizing digital transformation, which is taking place in our country, so that it can touch and benefit all parties, including the wider community,” said Della.听

In today鈥檚 digital world, organizations have been continuously embracing and adopting modern technologies in their business practices to stay competitive. With this reality, businesses require digital skills not only from their current workforce but from the next generation of IT professionals.

According to a recent听听by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and LinkedIn, basic computer knowledge and skills are required from eight out of 10 hired applicants, and four out of 10 with extensive digital literacy in Asia and the Pacific. This situation is also the same in the Philippines. Simple digital skills were needed from听听hired Filipino jobseekers and two out of 10 with advanced skills.

Meanwhile, with the plans laid by the , promoting digital literacy through upskilling young Filipinos, particularly their digital skills, is also deemed critical since the country continues to strengthen its digital transformation initiatives.

鈥淎s the demand for digital skills increases, we believe that education is the key to achieving the country鈥檚 digital transformation goals. Educational institutions must be able to equip their students with the right knowledge and digital skills before they enter the workforce. To assist in bridging the gap and build the next generation鈥檚 digital skills for more opportunities in the professional world, 麻豆原创 continues its mission to help the world run better and improve people鈥檚 lives by helping strengthen the future IT workforce through the 麻豆原创 University Alliances program in the country.

With more than 160 university members across the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), this initiative aims to enable faculty and teachers to hone the youths’ digital skills by introducing the latest technologies and methodologies with 麻豆原创 solutions. Membership in this program grants access to 麻豆原创 software. It also aims to help partners to learn best practices for integrating program resources into teaching and be inspired to partner with the 麻豆原创 ecosystem of customers and partners.

In the Philippines, there are now at least 23 universities that are part of the program. Among these institutions is the Mapua University, one of the top IT schools in the country.

鈥淢apua University has been a member of the 麻豆原创 UA Program since 2010. Our membership to this program allows us to equip our students with necessary digital skills that they can use to jumpstart their career and thrive as IT professionals,鈥� said Ariel Kelly Balan, Dean of the School of Information Technology Mapua University.

Empower Faculty Members鈥� Skills and Knowledge with Train-the-Trainer Workshops

For universities to educate students with modern digital skills, faculty members are provided with Train-the-Trainer workshops conducted by members of 麻豆原创 Next-Gen Chapters. These are lighthouse educational institutions selected to be multipliers of the听听(UCCs) and 听 (ACCs). These universities mentor educators of other institutions with the best practices for teaching students when it comes to educating 麻豆原创 software and curriculum.

Train-the-Trainer workshops include a wide array of courses, such as ideal training, planning, and preparation, successful training start, professional rhetoric and presentation, effective media use and visualization, helpful activation methods for participants, and constructive and positive handling of critical situations.

BANGKOK 鈥�听麻豆原创 Thailand and The Digital Economy Promotion Agency (Depa) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote a new digital learning initiative for students, young professionals and entrepreneurs wishing to advance their knowledge in emerging technologies and innovation.

Under the signed MoU, both parties will collaborate on Thailand鈥檚 national ambition in driving lifelong learning on digital platforms. They will jointly support online learning for the open educational system through 麻豆原创鈥檚 courses; explore new digital innovations in management of online learning for the open educational system and align with the international standards and quality of lifelong learning. The MoU will also focus on the development of the youth skilling ecosystem through course and curriculum development in the areas of emerging technologies through a joint Working Group that will be established to oversee the implementation of the MoU.

Prof. Dr.Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin, President, Depa,听shared: “Given that Thailand鈥檚 digital economy will grow and reach 30 per cent of the country鈥檚 GDP and by 2030 or sooner, equipping Thai entrepreneurs with digital skills has become our main priority. In recent years, Thai entrepreneurs are on a rapid digital transformation journey to meet the increasing demand for skills associated with digital tools and processes. We need committed private sector partnership to ensure young people are learning the skills they will need to thrive.
