Singapore, 28 July 2025 鈥 At its flagship event , (NYSE: 麻豆原创) today announced that , Singapore鈥檚 leading payments solutions provider, has completed a company-wide digital transformation powered by 鈥 an offering that allows organizations to digitally transform using a standardized framework, tools, and guidance 鈥 to unify and modernize its core business operations across geographies.听

With more than S$20 billion in transactions processed annually, AXS has long been a household name synonymous with convenient bill payments for Singapore consumers. After two decades of consumer-focused growth, the company was ready for its next chapter of growth beyond Singapore鈥檚 shores.鈥

Designed as a no-frills, SME-friendly solution requiring minimal customization, GROW with 麻豆原创 allowed AXS to rethink workflows using standardized templates. 鈥淎s we looked to expand beyond Singapore, we recognized the opportunity to modernize our legacy systems, which were instrumental in getting us to where we are, and to take us to our next phase of growth,鈥 said Jeffrey Goh, Group CEO and Co-founder of AXS. 鈥麻豆原创鈥檚 GROW with 麻豆原创, we are not only gaining agility, scalability, and speed, but also streamlining our operations to enhance team productivity, allowing us the efficiency to build on the strong foundations we have laid over the past two decades.鈥

To address its operational bottlenecks AXS implemented GROW with 麻豆原创 in early 2025, a process that took just three months working collaboratively with partner Nirvasoft, which provided hands-on support to help adapt 麻豆原创 solutions to AXS鈥檚 operational workflows. During implementation, the company ran its legacy systems in parallel with the new platform to ensure seamless continuity and support. As a result, AXS replaced their previous disconnected systems with a unified ERP platform spanning finance, sales, procurement, and asset management.听听

Improvements are visible across the business. Teams now work from a single source of truth with real-time visibility into operations and financials 鈥 reducing manual effort, improving accuracy, and accelerating decision-making. The finance team no longer waits until month-end to get clarity 鈥 they have real-time visibility at their fingertips. Beyond improving efficiency, it has given AXS the operational flexibility to explore AI-driven finance tools and launch new B2B payment solutions, a key growth pillar as the company scales regionally.

Eileen Chua, Managing Director, 麻豆原创 Singapore, said, 鈥淎XS, a homegrown Singapore brand, is a clear example of how forward-thinking companies are embracing intelligent, cloud-based platforms to become more competitive. With 麻豆原创, AXS can move fast, simplify complexity, and modernize effectively without losing focus on customers.鈥

With the new platform in place, AXS is now turning its focus to the next phase of transformation. It is also laying the groundwork for future adoption of 麻豆原创 Business AI tools, with early exploration underway into how automation and intelligent insights could support faster processing, reduce manual work, and improve forecasting.听

Looking ahead, AXS is committed to regional expansion鈥攁nd has partnered with 麻豆原创 to ensure its systems can scale alongside that growth. 麻豆原创鈥檚 future-ready solutions provide the flexibility and resilience to grow with AXS as it expands its B2B offerings and presence across Southeast Asia. 92% of Asia Pacific and Japan midmarket businesses say adopting generative AI is a top business priority

Singapore, 18 September 2024 鈥 Successful Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) midmarket organisations are more likely to prioritise generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) than those who are seeing lower revenue growth 鈥 and they are adopting new AI innovations in every corner of their business.

A recent study of 12,003 businesses by 麻豆原创 found APJ , defined as companies with between 250 and 1,500 employees, with high revenue growth[1] are more likely to put a moderate or strong priority on the adoption of Gen AI (94%) than those with lower revenue growth (86%).

鈥淏usiness AI is the biggest technology opportunity of the 21st century for businesses in Asia Pacific and Japan,鈥 said Utkarsh Maheshwari, Chief Partner Officer and Head of MidMarket, 麻豆原创 Asia Pacific & Japan.

鈥淏ut the benefits of Business AI are not restricted to large enterprises. Organisations of every size can realise the opportunities that relevant, reliable, and responsible AI can provide. That isn鈥檛 just image generation or making videos. It鈥檚 automating everyday pain points, providing great insights quickly, and reliably solving simple business problems.鈥

Adopting AI is a top organisational priority in APJ

The study, which surveyed 3,400 people in five APJ markets, found use of artificial intelligence is a top organisational priority for midmarket businesses.

Adopting standard business applications of AI like machine learning for data analysis and predictive analytics and adopting Gen AI are top organisational priorities across APJ (92% moderate and high priority). Other key priorities include cybersecurity threats and addressing gaps in supply chains (all 92%).

Importantly, improving or expanding supplier and partner networks (43%) is the top priority for achieving growth. Yet, artificial intelligence is seen as a priority to transform organisational processes in every corner of the business.

Over half of APJ midmarket organisations surveyed place a high priority on AI to transform their data security and privacy (52%), and to drive accurate decision-making (50%). Other key areas AI can transform include creating new business models (48%), improving customer experience (48%), enhancing training and skills (48%), and optimising supply chains (47%).

AI is creating value for APJ businesses today

But AI isn鈥檛 just being planned to achieve future benefits. It is being implemented today.

AI is already in use to a moderate or strong degree in midmarket APJ businesses to create marketing and sales content, gathering market intelligence, app development and testing, and for customer or vendor interactions (all 83%).

鈥淎I is not new. In fact, we鈥檝e been using it for decades,鈥 continued Maheshwari. 鈥淢ore than 27,000 customers are already using 麻豆原创 Business AI today, including thousands across Asia Pacific and Japan. We鈥檝e released more than 70 Generative AI use cases in the past year, already infused across our platforms and solutions, and we expect more than 100 use cases to be available by the end of 2024, which means that 80% of the most-commonly used scenarios will be AI enabled. The time to explore the benefits of Business AI is now.鈥

APJ midmarket businesses see data as key risk to growth 鈥 and AI adoption

Yet challenges remain to drive growth in APJ midmarket businesses.

Respondents noted lack of quality data (37%) and lack of integration between systems (33%) as key internal challenges to growth, alongside issues with supply chains (40%) and siloes in their business (33%).

And data is also cited as an organisational risk when it comes to AI. Midmarket businesses in APJ said the biggest risks to their company from AI were acting upon incorrect information (36%), finding and retaining talent (34%), lack of transparency in results (34%) and insufficient data size and quality (31%).

鈥淭he better the quality and scale of your data, the better the results of your AI,鈥 concluded Maheshwari. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 why working with a technology partner like 麻豆原创 is critical, because it is already built into the applications that power the most critical business processes. Only then can APJ businesses of every size make the promise of Business AI a reality.鈥

As the old adage goes:

鈥淚f you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.鈥

In today鈥檚 fast-paced global marketplace dominated by technology, cloud computing and AI have given enterprises new opportunities to optimise productivity and operations 鈥 so, which would you choose? To go fast, or go far?

What if you don鈥檛 have to choose? What if I tell you that you could go fast, and also go far?

How?

While technology providers are each competing to broaden their solution offerings to include the latest and the greatest 鈥 particularly with generative AI technology, in a region such as Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), it is also becoming increasingly difficult for any single provider to offer one-stop solutions that can cater to all needs.

That鈥檚 why at 麻豆原创, we have doubled down on our partnering strategy. With the surge in demand for cloud-based innovations, our dynamic partner ecosystem is becoming increasingly essential in delivering value, tailored to each customer. Today, 麻豆原创 has more than 25,000 partners in 140 countries globally, with close to 5,000 partners in APJ. We are now living in a new era where our channel partners are leading technology adoption.

Unleashing growth in APJ.

The APJ landscape is anything but homogenous 鈥 while diverse in culture and language, it is also home to a significant community of small and midsize enterprises (SMEs), making up over听96%鹿 of businesses in Asia.

麻豆原创 has long worked with midsize businesses to achieve their goals. Globally, rely on 麻豆原创 to keep them moving forward, and of our customers are small and midsize companies. While midsize companies are the growth engines of the future, 麻豆原创 understands that they also struggle with many of the same business pressures as their larger counterparts.

Midmarket leaders need flexible, agile tools that can provide the ability to scale without increasing costs and complexity. They need solutions that can help them connect, grow, and innovate their businesses today, and be ready for whatever comes next.

So, in March 2023, 麻豆原创 introduced a new offering for midsize customers: 鈥 a ready-to-run cloud ERP solution, powered by . As a company that already supports the world鈥檚 largest enterprises, at 麻豆原创, we know what it takes to help customers harness benefits from cloud solutions. Based on our success with offering, we are now transferring those industry best practices and deep expertise to help midsize companies realise the value of adopting cloud ERP too.

This is how we help you go fast.

The GROW with 麻豆原创 offering features services and tools that streamline project delivery at a fixed rate, and the ability to deliver technical go-lives in as little as four to six weeks. Midsize businesses can now enjoy and the of a right-sized, cloud ERP solution, all at a predictable cost.

And here’s how we help you go far.

GROW with 麻豆原创 customers also gain access to a of local, expert partners, and free learning resources designed to help them derive meaningful business results. Through fit-to-standard configurations, our customers can minimise technical customisations so they can run fast; and add on modular business applications, enabled by , one priority at a time, so they can run far 鈥 keeping pace with their speed of innovation, without giving up the readiness to scale as their business grows.

Bringing support closer to you.

For over 50 years, 麻豆原创 has helped organisations of all sizes bring out their best. And we continue to do that with a laser focus on delivering long-term value to our customers.

Not only has 麻豆原创 grown our partner ecosystem exponentially, but we have also introduced new programs, initiatives, and frameworks, that revolutionise the way we operate and innovate together with our partners.

Recently, we launched a new Partner-Led Territories (PLT) initiative that delegates specific territories 鈥 such as a solution area, an industry, or a geographical area 鈥 primarily to carefully appointed partners that meet 麻豆原创鈥檚 criteria. The initiative allows these partners the maximum autonomy in such territories, while bringing consultation and technical support closer to customers. In APJ, the PLT initiative has started rolling out across selected market segments 鈥 especially SME-centric ones 鈥 in Australia, New Zealand, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and emerging markets, including Bhutan, Cambodia, Laos, Maldives, and Nepal, together with our partners. As the initiative matures, we are also constantly applying best practices to prepare for a full-scale rollout across more APJ markets including Japan and South Korea.

The feedback has been very positive. At one of the launch events last quarter in Goa, India, a customer shared his excitement with me:

I鈥檇 never thought growing companies like ours could also access 麻豆原创鈥檚 best-in-class solutions to scale our business 鈥 it had always felt a little out of reach. I鈥檓 so thrilled that we can now discuss our business needs with a local partner and benefit from such cutting-edge technologies too.

The road ahead.

According to a Forbes Insight survey, 88% of SME business leaders in the Asia Pacific region are looking to expand their international customer base in the next three years. With the in APJ, 麻豆原创 partners will represent a new key enabler for the growth beyond borders.

At the 麻豆原创 Sapphire conference in Orlando this year, 麻豆原创 announced an unprecedented number of strategic, AI partnerships with global market leaders 鈥 including AWS, IBM, Google Cloud, Meta, Microsoft, Mistral AI, NVIDIA, and more 鈥 infusing Business AI throughout our enterprise cloud portfolio, and supercharging 麻豆原创 BTP with the broadest set of large language models (LLM) to help customers accelerate their AI adoption.

It has never been more exciting to be part of the 麻豆原创 partner ecosystem, and the midmarket business. The pace of innovation in this space is simply exhilarating.

We know that business transformation is a journey, not a destination. To help customers find the right expertise, 麻豆原创 continues to evolve our partner training and validation programs. The report, 鈥楧riving the next phase of sustainable growth for Indian Start-ups in 2023 and Beyond鈥, polled Indian 115 start-ups to reveal they will continue to invest in enterprise technology platforms, driven by their proven ability to deliver business outcomes and ROI. With Budget 2023, Singapore signals its continued investment to support the bedrock of its economy, which is (SMEs).

This year, Singapore businesses will continue to face tighter financial conditions and increasing costs. The Budget 2023 announcement emphasised the deepening of support for local enterprises in a bid to grow the economy, with the outlook for 2023 looking positive but slowing at about 2.5%.

Here are three areas that midsize companies will need to focus on to continue their advancement of opportunities.

Strengthening capabilities for innovation

With the extended Enterprise Financing Scheme, as well as the necessary skilling avenues and tax incentives, growing companies are able to transform themselves into becoming more .

Rising to meet the digital mandate will be paramount for businesses to stay relevant, resilient and thrive amidst global headwinds. grants agility, and scale, as well as the ability to realise cost savings in the long term and to unlock new revenue streams.

Ready-to-run processes such as cloud that are ready for anything to continuously bring out innovation into the business, while being easy to use for everyone enable different parts of the company to work together as growth occurs. Such solutions keep businesses moving forward to confidently tackle challenges regardless of markets or models.

The new Enterprise Innovation Scheme initiated by the government will also significantly reduce tax deductions for key activities within the innovation route. For Singapore to truly become a socio-economic and digital powerhouse, innovation is a critical pillar and foundation of a modern economy. Companies must treat innovation as innate, not just something in need when the seas are rough. The pace of innovation is dramatically accelerating. As a result, every company needs to tap the power of the collective to solve and scale.

One way would be to adopt a in order to accelerate development and automation in creating solutions for the organisation. Such a solution can increase productivity by reducing the amount of time needed for manual coding using visual processing and drag-and-drop capabilities on a low or no-code development platform. Delivering applications more quickly will free resources into other development initiatives and scaling up value creation, making it easier for midsized companies to expand.

Companies would also need to boost their productivity by looking to reskilling and upskilling their workforce to be future-ready.

Empowering a future-ready workforce

While many SMEs have already made inroads to future-proof their businesses during the pandemic, there is still much to be done to encourage organisations to empower their workforce to thrive and drive sustainable success. There remains an increased emphasis on 鈥 particularly for deep tech sectors that are the pillars of our innovation ecosystem.

In a similar fashion, 麻豆原创 is helping to equip mid-career jobseekers in boosting their employability for the Infocomm Technology, Supply Chain and Human Resources sectors. Besides mid-career jobseekers, enables the next generation to learn, research, and innovate with business applications for the Intelligent Enterprise and the green economy.

Balancing this by staying open to top foreign talent to complement our local workforce will put us in good stead to build a resilient and future-ready workforce for today鈥檚 digital economy, and tomorrow鈥檚 digital-first world.

In Singapore, the government will be appointing Jobs-Skills Integrators to ensure training will improve employment and earnings prospects post-training. These integrators will work with training providers to update existing training programmes or create new ones. For example, businesses can garner more counsel for securing an additional workforce, for workers to receive advice and training and for those who are searching for jobs to be connected with potential employers.

Driving sustainability as a business imperative

As Singapore embarks on its Green Plan, sustainability will be the key differentiator and business imperative for SMEs, where we will see entire business value chains looking to combat climate change, create a circular economy, and become more socially responsible.

and data will be critical for a green transition to net zero by 2050. In fact, accurate data and reporting for full transparency within organisation are determined to be the second most important factor in reducing carbon emissions locally.

Full trackability across business units ultimately benefits the bottom line 鈥 enabling businesses to achieve resilient and greener supply chains that improve productivity. Further investments in green skills are absolutely vital to Singapore鈥檚 transition towards a green and digital economy.

All for supporting the backbone of the local economy

With public and private support, SMEs in Singapore are well-positioned to not only overcome the mixed global economic outlook but also look to expand their businesses beyond Singapore. By leveraging the cloud, a dynamic and supportive ecosystem, companies can enable continuous innovation and scalability with speed and usability that is crucial to stay competitive in a digital-first world, GROW, thrive and play a vital role in the overall global economy.

PXL Marketing Managing Director Keith Tan

KUALA LUMPUR 听Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) today need to leverage smartly on technology to stay competitive with the ability to respond to market needs faster, and more so in the post-pandemic environment.

A case in point is PXL Marketing Sdn Bhd, one of Malaysia’s leading disposable food packaging suppliers offering a wide variety of high-quality disposable food packaging and hygiene products suitable across all industries.

“As a manufacturer of disposable food packaging, our corporate culture is to always ‘do the right thing’. Our disposable food packaging products are eco-friendly, hence minimising negative impact on the environment is in line with our sustainability efforts,” said PXL Marketing Managing Director Keith Tan.

Now that Malaysia has moved to post-pandemic stage, PXL’s top priority is business growth coupled with prompt fulfilment to enable customers to smoothly run their businesses.

Its visionary management has made technology a core component of its business, with 麻豆原创’s Business One solution at the heart of PXL’s operations.

鈥溌槎乖 Business One is 麻豆原创鈥檚 solution for small and midsize businesses, such as PXL, to grow in its digital transformation.听 It offers an affordable way to manage an entire business by helping companies streamline processes, act on timely information, and drive profitable growth,鈥 stated Kenneth dela Cerna, 麻豆原创 Business One Business Leader.

“麻豆原创 Business One was our technology of choice in preparation for PXL’s Industrial Revolution 4.0 (4IR) readiness along with the transition to intelligent technologies on the cloud to realise our business aspirations,” said Keith. “It has been instrumental in helping PXL connect and streamline processes, while also serving as a catalyst of growth.”

“What’s even more wonderful about 麻豆原创 Business One is that it provides us with a 鈥榮ingle version of truth鈥 and also empowers our workforce to access accurate information in real time,” he added.

During the pandemic, and like many other businesses, PXL also had business challenges – but the company was able to rise above them.

“Key incidents such as the Suez Canal blockage in March 2021 and the closure of several China鈥檚 main ports due to Covid-19 outbreaks affected raw material availability and impacted the already affected supply chain industry, leading to increased product demand with limited stock supply,” recalled Keith.

“From the observation and learnings, we gathered since early days of the pandemic, PXL has taken pre-emptive measures to increase stock capacity. We started the process in Q4 2021 to relocate into a bigger warehouse facility in Malaysia鈥檚 Bukit Jalil Integrated Business Park.”

As a result, PXL’s inventory and warehouse management system has improved tremendously, realising a 30% increase in productivity according to company estimates.

“Thanks to 麻豆原创 Business One which provided better alignment between the sales and supply chain teams, PXL benefited from better inventory monitoring and stock projection to ensure better stock management for PXL鈥檚 consumers,” said Keith.

As PXL operations rely on the interconnected global supply chain network, 麻豆原创 Business One was also instrumental in providing reliable integration between Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) with the PXL integrated portal providing enhanced data insights for delivery while also improving versatility and access.

Although the pandemic brought numerous local SMEs to their knees due to restrictions imposed as a result of the Movement Control Order (MCO), PXL could continue flying strongly as the workforce could operate remotely including conducting internal sales training and customer consultations.

“麻豆原创鈥檚 CRM and Opportunity Module was timely implemented for us to digitise our processes and maximise our work-from-home resources. The data extraction and integration capabilities have helped empower our Supply Chain Department to conduct forecasts for our exclusive customers to accomplish the company鈥檚 achievement beyond the industry standard,” he said.

“This has also contributed for a more seamless management and connectivity across PXL鈥檚 different departments,” concluded Keith.

  • 84% of SMEs in Indonesia say that they are quite resilient in facing the challenges of a pandemic.
  • 93% of SMEs stated that they are quite optimistic about growth over the next 12 months
  • JAKARTA 鈥 A new study by(NYSE: 麻豆原创) found that 91 percent of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia experience workforce instability, including many skilled workforces leaving to seek career development in other organizations. This certainly affects the process of digitizing their business鈥攃onsidering that 81 percent of SMEs consider digital transformation to have a critical role in the future sustainability of their organization.

This information was revealed in a study conducted by 麻豆原创 with Dynata Research entitled ‘ Transformational Talent: The impact of the Great Resignation on Digital Transformation in APJ’s SMEs ‘. This research surveyed 1,363 SME owners and decision-makers in eight countries in Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ), including 210 respondents from Indonesia.

The Impact of Massive Resignations on the Digital Transformation of SMEs in Indonesia

As the world economy begins to slowly recover from the pandemic, the Great Resignation has become a challenge for many businesses in the world. This phrase first appeared in 2021 and refers to the trend of resignations from jobs by millions of employees worldwide.

Research conducted by 麻豆原创 found that this phenomenon has a major impact on SMEs in Indonesia. 25 percent of respondents agreed that more employees are leaving today compared to 12 months ago, while almost 63 percent of SMEs said they are facing difficulties coping with the impact of massive layoffs.

The labor crisis that occurred has greatly affected the ability of SMEs to continue their digital transformation process. Apart from needing workers to carry out their daily activities, SMEs in Indonesia also need other workers who are skilled at operating digital technology. This is a major challenge for the digital transformation process for Indonesian SMEs, in addition to cybersecurity and organizational budget constraints.

“This study proves that labor instability and crises are not only an existential threat to SMEs but also apply to other organizations,” said Andreas Diantoro, Managing Director of 麻豆原创 Indonesia.

“Digital transformation is the most basic way for SMEs to be able to build organizational resilience and implement innovative strategies that can boost their business growth. Without the right workforce to support their development, the transformation process is hindered. Investment in the workforce must also be in line with investment in innovation so that it can help SMEs in Indonesia to survive and continue to grow.鈥

Investment in Manpower and Provision of Training to Anticipate Massive Resignations

SMEs in Indonesia think that investing in their workforce can reduce the impact of massive layoffs and to improve their organizational capabilities for digital transformation.

Respondents said they were focusing on opportunities to develop skills (55 percent) in order to increase talent retention over the next 12 months. Meanwhile, to maintain the workforce, they carry out financial incentives as the next strategy (51 percent). Indonesian SMEs are also investing in flexible work patterns that offer career advancement opportunities (both 50 percent).

More than 86 percent of SMEs say that skill development is needed to support digital transformation. So that 82 percent of Indonesian SMEs will focus on digital training throughout this year.

鈥淢assive resignations are often misinterpreted as employees leaving their jobs to pursue other goals. In fact, it’s not like that,” said Andreas.

鈥淭he workforce needs proper remuneration, flexibility, and a clearly communicated career path. We see that prioritizing skill development, career development opportunities, expanding access to technology, and selecting the right partners are the leading solutions for the welfare of the SME workforce in Indonesia.”

Optimism Increased When SMEs Shifted Their Focus from Surviving to Focusing on Company Growth

After facing significant challenges over the past two years, SMEs in Indonesia are no longer focused solely on survival.

About 62 percent of APJ’s SMEs say that their company is fully resilient during the impact of the pandemic. Only 6 percent believed they could not survive at all.

It is this self-confidence that has led to optimism about the growth prospects of their SMEs in the future. Data shows that as many as 71 percent of SMEs in Indonesia feel quite, very, or very confident about their company’s growth over the next 12 months.

According to Andreas, such a mindset can be a positive thing for the growth of APJ’s SMEs.

鈥淪MEs to us are pioneers for the wider economy, they make up 97 percent of businesses in Asia and employ 50 percent of the workforce. And in Indonesia, they contribute as much. I really believe that when SMEs develop, the economy will grow, and it has the potential to make Asia prosperous,” said Andreas.

“The combination of optimism, continuous innovation, commitment to developing a quality workforce, and the establishment of a strong collaboration ecosystem will be the roots of mapping success for Indonesian SMEs in the next 10 years.”
