Scales Momentum of Almost Three-Times Team Growth and Numerous Patents Filed

SINGAPORE — March 19, 2025 — Â鶹ԭ´´ Labs Singapore today announced its collaboration with National University of Singapore (NUS) under the Industrial Postgraduate Programme (IPP). Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), the IPP is designed to enable globally-leading companies to nurture postgraduate talent with critical research skills. Through this program, Â鶹ԭ´´ Labs Singapore will hire and complete training for nine researchers in its AI team in Singapore by end-2030, adding to the continued growth of the lab.

Since its establishment in 2022, Â鶹ԭ´´ Labs Singapore has not only achieved its commitment to hire 200 AI engineers in Singapore but has also almost tripled its total headcount over the past three years to 420 – hired mostly from local universities and institutions of higher learning, including the NUS and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Â鶹ԭ´´ Labs Singapore today plays a pivotal role in driving innovation, with numerous AI-related patents filed by inventors based locally. New researchers hired through the IPP will also be recruited from NUS, and will work on new research areas, complementing the work done by incumbent team, to accelerate AI adoption in the industry.

The rapid scaling and achievement of its hiring and innovation targets have been pivotal to enable Â鶹ԭ´´ Labs Singapore to test, refine, and deploy AI advancements that offer tangible ROI across core Â鶹ԭ´´ solutions including HR, finance, and supply chain software.

“Our vision for Â鶹ԭ´´ Labs Singapore was to become a vibrant engine of innovation in Asia, creating cutting-edge solutions for our customers worldwide,” said Manik Saha, Managing Director, Â鶹ԭ´´ Labs Singapore & Vietnam. “Today, that vision has turned into a reality: not only have we nearly tripled our staff while continuing to nurture future talent, we’ve also pushed the boundaries of what AI can do for enterprises, going beyond experiments to deliver AI solutions that truly make a difference in people’s day-to-day work.”

Agentic AI: Leading the Next Wave Beyond Generative AI

Â鶹ԭ´´’s engineering teams in Â鶹ԭ´´ Labs Singapore are already playing a central role in driving Agentic AI, an evolution that moves from basic automation and predictive models to autonomous agents capable of managing entire workflows.

By harnessing Agentic AI, such as , enterprises can turn AI investment into real business outcomes, including:

  • End-to-End Process Automation: From procurement requests to invoice management, entire sequences become self-driving.
  • Smarter Decision-Making: AI agents collaborating across end-to-end processes to help businesses make better decisions in real time.
  • Scalable ROI: With applications, data and processes harmonized, organizations see faster time-to-value compared to traditional AI pilots.

“Our team at Â鶹ԭ´´ Labs Singapore has co-created numerous client features, from one-click, guided, employee development goals creation in Â鶹ԭ´´ SuccessFactors, to embedded analytical capabilities in finance. And the next step will be new agentic innovation, demonstrating that AI can transform traditional business challenges into opportunities,” said Saha.

The success of Agentic AI is underpinned by a unified data foundation. The newly launched Â鶹ԭ´´ Business Data Cloud brings together large-scale datasets from multiple sources, ensuring that AI agents have the context they need to drive more intelligent automation.

“Data is the fuel that feeds AI, and we’ve made it our mission to deliver a seamless way to connect disparate data,” said Verena Siow, President and Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Â鶹ԭ´´. “As Â鶹ԭ´´ Business Data Cloud breaks down silos and scales AI capabilities across lines of businesses, regions and industries, Â鶹ԭ´´ Labs Singapore serves as an innovation engine to translate AI investments into tangible, measurable ROI for customers so that they can continue to Accelerate to Innovate and achieve their business ambitions.”

The rapid growth at Â鶹ԭ´´ Labs Singapore spotlights how Asia, with Singapore at its epicenter, is becoming a magnet for advanced digital technologies.

“Companies in Southeast Asia aren’t just catching up—they’re often leapfrogging into the most sophisticated AI use cases,” added Siow. “Our success at Â鶹ԭ´´ Labs Singapore is proof that, when you combine visionary public policy with forward-thinking R&D investments, you can fast-track innovation that resonates around the globe. More and more customers in the region, such as Olam Agri, Bank Danamon, and Darussalam Assets, are already incorporating Â鶹ԭ´´ Business AI capabilities into their business processes.”

“The expansion of Â鶹ԭ´´ Labs Singapore and the addition of a new R&D team exemplifies how companies can leverage Singapore’s world-class AI talent to solve complex enterprise challenges,” said Mr. Chan Ih-ming, Executive Vice President, Singapore Economic Development Board. “Â鶹ԭ´´’s collaboration with NUS through the Industrial Postgraduate Programme will further strengthen the pipeline of AI talent in Singapore. It is a tangible example of an industry-academia partnership that equips our researchers with deep research capabilities to develop innovative AI solutions that are enterprise-centric.”

Landmark Collaboration Redefines Enterprise Data Management and Unleashes the Full Potential of Agentic AI

NEW YORK —Ìý (NYSE: Â鶹ԭ´´) today announced Â鶹ԭ´´ Business Data Cloud, a groundbreaking solution that unifies all Â鶹ԭ´´ and third-party data throughout an organization, providing the trusted data foundation organizations need to make more impactful decisions and foster reliable AI.

The solution harmonizes data from organizations’ most mission-critical applications with data engineering and business analytics capabilities, paving the way for next-level innovation and insights.

This between Â鶹ԭ´´ and Databricks marks a new era in enterprise data management as two leaders in their domains come together to redefine how applications and data platforms work together. The new solution natively embeds Databricks technology for data engineering, machine learning and AI workloads.

“Â鶹ԭ´´ Business Data Cloud unleashes the full value of enterprise data for Business AI,” said Â鶹ԭ´´ CEO Christian Klein. “It combines Â鶹ԭ´´’s unique expertise in mission-critical, end-to-end processes and semantically rich data with Databricks’ world-class data engineering capabilities to create a ground-breaking solution that helps organizations do more with their data than ever before.”

“Every company on the planet wants to get more value out of their data and greater returns on their AI investments,” said Ali Ghodsi, Co-founder and CEO of Databricks. “By joining forces with Â鶹ԭ´´, ·ɱð’r±ð helping organizations bring together all their data — regardless of format or where it lives — to govern, analyze and build domain-specific AI applications on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.”

Introducing the data product economy

Â鶹ԭ´´ Business Data Cloud also helps Â鶹ԭ´´ foster the growth of a data product economy. It delivers fully-managed Â鶹ԭ´´ data products across all business processes – from finance, spend and supply chain data in Â鶹ԭ´´ S/4HANA and Â鶹ԭ´´ Ariba, to learning and talent data in Â鶹ԭ´´ SuccessFactors. These data products maintain their original business context and semantics, providing immediate access to high-quality data without costly extraction processes. For example, if a CFO wants to assess the impact of rising inflation on profitability, Â鶹ԭ´´ Business Data Cloud integrates real-time external data such as the consumer price index with financial data products such as general ledger accounts or cost centers to create a comprehensive financial snapshot.

Â鶹ԭ´´ Business Data Cloud will also offer new capabilities called insight apps that use data products and AI models connected to real-time data to deliver advanced analytics and planning across all lines of business, including core enterprise analytics, finance and human resources.

“Â鶹ԭ´´ Business Data Cloud will help us unlock the value of our data and drive innovation across our business,” said Markus Hartmann, Corporate Vice President and Head of Business Technology and regions Europe, APAC and IMEA, at Henkel, a multinational chemical and consumer goods company. “Its semantically rich data products and deep Databricks integration will enhance our existing data products and empower us to model scenarios and leverage AI insights, building a sustainable future for our data ecosystems.”

Delivering on the full promise of AI agents

Â鶹ԭ´´ Business Data Cloud will improve how Joule, Â鶹ԭ´´’s generative AI copilot, accelerates cross-functional workflows and improves business decision-making with AI agents. Powered by the highest-quality enterprise dataset in the industry – and the Â鶹ԭ´´ Knowledge Graph solution, which provides a business-friendly model of data – Joule agents deeply understand end-to-end processes and can collaborate across functions to solve complex business challenges, something no other agent builder technology can do out of the box.

Underscoring today’s announcement and its significance for AI innovation, Â鶹ԭ´´ also unveiled a series of ready-to-use Joule agents across finance, service, sales and more to come across the Â鶹ԭ´´ Business Suite. In finance, for example, agents will work together across a variety of tasks to process claims faster and improve cashflow. Joule sales agents, meanwhile, will accelerate multi-step business processes to resolve disputes and process customer inquiries faster.

Â鶹ԭ´´ today also announced a powerful new agent builder capability, so customers can build and deploy their own AI agents alongside Â鶹ԭ´´’s library of ready-to-deploy Joule agents. Â鶹ԭ´´’s decades of business process expertise are built into the guided workflow so users can ground their custom agents in the most relevant data and business context.

SINGAPORE — today announced that Averis, a leading provider of global business services and solutions serving various industries, with a particular focus on commodities including palm oil, pulp and paper, clean and renewable energy, viscose, and dissolving and specialty pulp, has chosen , , and to improve operational agility and resilience, optimise cost, and enhance client satisfaction.Ìý

Headquartered in Malaysia with offices in Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas, Averis provides shared services such as finance, human resources, and procurement to over 300 clients across the globe. For over 15 years, the company ran its core business processes on a traditional on-premise Â鶹ԭ´´ enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

As the company continues its global expansion, Averis needed to transform and modernise its IT landscape to enhance capacity planning, simplify system upgrades, and manage operational costs more efficiently. Migrating to Â鶹ԭ´´’s cloud solutions was an obvious pathway, but Averis required some sensitive customer data to continue to be stored on-premise, so it can retain flexible control.

RISE with Â鶹ԭ´´ proved to be a perfect fit for Averis due to its customisability and adaptability, enabling the company to adopt a hybrid approach that integrates both public and private clouds, successfully overcoming its unique business challenges.Ìý

Herminto, Vice President of Group IT at Averis said, “Over our 15-year partnership, Â鶹ԭ´´ has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of our business and commitment to our success. With their unwavering support, we could tailor a hybrid strategy that works for us, so we can reap the full benefits of the cloud while maintaining control over sensitive data, ultimately enhancing our business continuity and reducing costs for our clients.”Ìý

A public-private cloud that offers the best of both worldsÌý

Moving most of its infrastructure to the cloud has empowered Averis to unlock new capabilities in data analytics, automation, and client engagement. Averis has recorded an 8.5% uptick in client satisfaction due to faster turnaround times, more personalised service delivery, and greater agility in handling unexpected requests.

RISE with Â鶹ԭ´´ will also enable Averis to replace its traditional CAPEX/OPEX operating model with a pure OPEX model, optimising its technology cost structure and achieving an 11.5% drop in total cost of ownership (TCO). As a result, the company can scale and adjust its computing requirements according to business needs while reducing risk and enhancing the stability of its IT environment.

Most importantly, Averis is future-proofing its business with the right foundation to accelerate its innovation in fast-growing areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainability. The company expects to use AI to increase employee productivity and optimise resource utilisation in its facilities.

As Averis’ clients increasingly adopt their own sustainability metrics and goals, the company will also use Â鶹ԭ´´ solutions to strengthen its offerings in sustainability services, further expanding its service portfolio and driving business growth.Ìý

The enhancements provided by Â鶹ԭ´´ cloud solutions have empowered Averis’ team of more than 1,000 professionals to embrace change and innovation, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and maximized use of digital tools to drive operational resilience and client satisfaction.Ìý

Eileen Chua, Managing Director, Â鶹ԭ´´ Singapore, said, “Business services providers like Averis play a crucial role in driving productivity and growth for the companies it supports. Averis’ journey to the cloud with a tailored RISE with Â鶹ԭ´´ solution underscores how a flexible cloud strategy can empower companies to scale rapidly and drive real business results, with improved client satisfaction and a future-ready foundation for AI and sustainability initiatives.”

To better support the shift towards a community-based, patient-centric healthcare model, NHG needed to modernise its HR infrastructure to meet the evolving operational needs of its over 20,000 healthcare professionals caring for 1.5 million residents in Central and North Singapore.ÌýÌý

“The healthcare sector is rapidly changing. We needed a system that could enhance mobility, improve data accuracy, and support continuous learning—all while being accessible to employees on the go,” said Khoo Swee Lan, Group Chief Human Resource Officer at NHG.Ìý

The transformation, branded iConnect@NHG, was implemented in two phases. Phase one, launched in January 2023, established a strong HR foundation with modules for Employee Central, Time Management, Recruitment, Onboarding, Learning and Development, and Performance and Goal Management, to streamline processes and improve data accuracy. Phase two, rolled out from November 2023, introduced advanced features such as Succession Management and Compensation Planning, for enhanced functionality.Ìý

A modern HR system with Â鶹ԭ´´ SuccessFactors at the coreÌý

Â鶹ԭ´´ SuccessFactors was selected as the core platform for NHG’s HR transformation due to its comprehensive, cloud-based capabilities.Ìý

By integrating Â鶹ԭ´´ SuccessFactors with , NHG has gained real-time workforce data visibility, empowering its leadership team to make informed decisions on talent management and workforce planning. This data-driven approach, combined with Qualtrics’ sentiment analysis, allows NHG to proactively manage staff performance, engagement, and well-being for a fulfilling employee experience.Ìý

NHG was also the first public healthcare cluster in Singapore to implement , centralising its HR operations into one intuitive platform. Â鶹ԭ´´ Build Work Zone helps enable employees to access tasks, policies, and personalised workspaces easily.Ìý

“By embedding listening into the employee journey, we are able to create a more fulfilling and meaningful experience for our staff,” Ms Khoo explained. “This ensures our employees feel valued and heard, which is critical in today’s competitive healthcare environment.”Ìý

Adopting a mobile-first, data-driven approach with Â鶹ԭ´´ SuccessFactors has enabled NHG’s workforce to be more agile and engaged, while significantly reducing administrative tasks and improving data accuracy. In the first month of the launch of iConnect@NHG, over 95% of NHG employees logged into the platform and completed more than 25,000 workflows. Among them, 19,000 employees activated the mobile app, validating NHG’s mobile-focused strategy. 95% of Indonesian midmarket businesses say adopting generative AI is a top business priority

Jakarta – 15 October 2024 – Indonesian midmarket organisations looking for growth are more likely to put a high priority on generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) than those who are experiencing revenue success – though all organisations are adopting new AI innovations in every corner of their business.

A recent study by Â鶹ԭ´´ found Indonesian midmarket businesses, defined as companies with between 250 and 1,500 employees, with low revenue growth are more likely to put a strong priority on the adoption of Gen AI (60%) than those with higher revenue growth (51%).

“Business AI is the biggest technology opportunity of the 21st century for businesses in Indonesia,” said Utkarsh Maheshwari, Chief Partner Officer and Head of MidMarket, Â鶹ԭ´´ Asia Pacific & Japan.

“But the benefits of Business AI are not restricted to enterprises. Organisations of every size can realise the opportunities that relevant, reliable, and responsible AI can provide.ÌýThat isn’t just image generation or making videos. It’s automating everyday pain points, providing great insights quickly, and reliably solving simple business problems.”

Adopting AI is a top organisational priority in Indonesia

The study, which surveyed 556 organisations in Indonesia and 12,003 globally, found use of artificial intelligence is a top organisational priority for midmarket businesses.

Adopting Gen AI is a medium or high priority for 95% of Indonesian businesses, while adopting standard business applications of AI like machine learning for data analysis and predictive analytics was a top priority for 94%. Other key priorities include cybersecurity threats (95%), environmental sustainability (95%), and addressing gaps in supply chains (93%).

Artificial intelligence is seen as a priority to transform organisational processes in every corner of the business.

Over six in ten midmarket organisations in Indonesia place a high priority on AI to transform their data security and privacy (62%). Other key areas AI can transform include boosting decision-making (57%), creating new business models (50%), optimising supply chains (48%), personalising user experiences (46%), and improving customer experience (46%).

AI is creating value for Indonesian businesses today

But AI isn’t just being planned to achieve future benefits. It is being implemented today.

AI is already in use to a moderate or strong degree in midmarket Indonesian businesses to develop marketing and sales content (92%), interact with customers or vendors (91%), detect fraud (89%), and monitor for cybersecurity threats (87%).

“AI is not new. In fact, we’ve been using it for decades,” continued Maheshwari. “More than 27,000 customers are already using Â鶹ԭ´´ Business AI today, including many in Indonesia. We’ve released more than 70 Generative AI use cases in the past year, and we expect more than 100 use cases to be available by the end of 2024. The time to explore the benefits of Business AI is now.”

Indonesian midmarket businesses see data as key risk to growth – and AI adoption

Yet challenges remain to drive growth in Indonesian midmarket businesses.

Respondents noted lack of quality data for planning or decision-making (41%) and supply chain disruption (40%) as key internal challenges to growth, alongside issues with lack of integration between systems (38%) and outdated technology (32%).

And data is also cited as an organisational risk when it comes to AI. Midmarket businesses in Indonesia said the biggest risks to their company from AI were acting upon incorrect information (37%), lack of transparency in results (33%), insufficient data size and quality (32%) and legal liabilities (31%).

“The better the quality and scale of your data, the better the results of your AI,” concluded Maheshwari. “That’s why working with a technology partner like Â鶹ԭ´´ is critical, because it is already built into the applications that power the most critical business processes. Only then can Indonesian businesses of every size make the promise of Business AI a reality.”

Â鶹ԭ´´

“Business AI merupakan peluang teknologi terbesar di abad ke-21 untuk perusahaan-perusahaan di Indonesia,” ujar Utkarsh Maheshwari, Chief Partner Officer and Head of MidMarket, Â鶹ԭ´´ Asia Pacific & Japan.

Bangkok, 24 September 2024 — today announced that Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, a global sustainable chemicals company, has partnered with Taulia to optimize its working capital under the company’s program to transform its global manufacturing operations, reduce costs, and enhance competitiveness. Acquired by Â鶹ԭ´´ in 2022, Taulia is a leading provider of working capital management solutions and aims to help Â鶹ԭ´´ customers generate billions of dollars of free cash flow and improve resilience and sustainability in supply chains.Ìý

Headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, Indorama Ventures is one of the world’s leading petrochemicals producers, with about 140 manufacturing sites across five continents. As part of the company’s IVL 2.0 and Procurement 4.0 transformation programs, free cash flow was identified as a key goal across the business. Under Taulia’s early payment program, which went live in August 2024, Indorama Ventures will offer suppliers early payment options at preferential rates, aimed at improving supply chain liquidity and optimizing working capital while supporting business growth through a unified global solution.Ìý Indorama Ventures’ global suppliers are expected to benefit progressively from this program.ÌýÌýÌý

Through the implementation of Taulia, Indorama Ventures will be able to reduce payment cycle times for suppliers, hence improving the financial health of the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) industry in Asia, where payments are typically made after 60 to 90 days. Taulia’s ‘multifunder’ model willÌý enable Indorama Ventures to access an ecosystem of financial institutions, providing flexibility and risk mitigation through diverse funding sources, while suppliers will have access to a stable source of liquidity for outstanding invoices. This integration will empower Indorama Ventures’ finance and procurement teams to benchmark their working capital against global peers while driving efficiency and automation in their working capital management processes.Ìý

Indorama Ventures started its digital transformation journey in 2020 by implementing tools including the Â鶹ԭ´´ S/4HANA ERP platform. In the next phase of its journey, the company is rolling out a range of digital and AI solutions that create value and build excellence across key operational areas including manufacturing, commercial, procurement, sales, supply chain, and finance excellence.ÌýÌý

Sanjay Ahuja, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Indorama Ventures, said, “Indorama Ventures selected Taulia due to its strong track record in the specialty chemicals industry, as well as unified integration with Â鶹ԭ´´, multi-bank ecosystem, 90-second supplier onboarding, and extensive network of millions of suppliers. Collaborating with Â鶹ԭ´´ and implementing Taulia will help streamline our financial operations and enhance our IT goals and cashflow management. This initiative aims to help strengthen our supplier relationships by ensuring faster payments, which is vital for their growth and stability.”ÌýÌý

Kulwipa Piyawattanametha, Managing Director Â鶹ԭ´´ Indochina said, “Indorama Ventures’ implementation of Taulia is a significant step forward for Thai businesses. By accelerating payment cycles and enhancing financial processes, they will be able to provide local suppliers with the liquidity they need to grow and thrive. This initiative also aligns with our commitment to supporting the Thai economy and government initiatives aimed at strengthening the nation’s supply chain resilience. Together, we are building a more robust economic foundation for the future.”ÌýÌýÌý

Rene Ho, Chief Financial Officer, Taulia said, “We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Indorama Ventures as they pursue their free cash flow objectives under the IVL 2.0 initiative. We understand the vital role that the supply chain plays in their success. Through Taulia’s early payment program, we are committed to helping suppliers of all sizes access the liquidity they need through a carefully designed strategy and framework. This initiative also marks a significant step in our ongoing expansion across Asia, where we continue to support Asian corporates in their growth and strengthen local supply chains.”Ìý
