鈥楽 Hertogenbosch, May 20, 2021 鈥� A spectacular show for 3500 people; it seems almost unreal in times of Corona. The Eurovision Song Contest 2021 shows that it is possible, partly due to technology that is being used under the supervision of .
The Eurovision Song Contest will take place from 18 to 22 May in Ahoy in Rotterdam. At the end of March, the Dutch cabinet designated the Eurovision Song Contest as a field lab event, which means that the public is welcome during the live shows and rehearsals.
The organization has taken various measures against the spread of the Corona virus. For example, a test center has been set up next to Ahoy where artists, staff and journalists have to have themselves tested every 48 hours. Everyone in the complex must also wear a mouth mask. In addition, social distancing remains the norm.
Flockey measures distancing
The app Flockey from is used to protect social distance. The Eurovision Song Contest is the first large-scale event where Flockey is used, for all employees and delegations as well as for the public.
Flockey measures the distance between visitors using anonymized Bluetooth Low Energy data from mobile devices. The app gives the organizers real-time insight into visitor flows, the location of visitors and employees and the mutual distance. In this way Flockey contributes to safety.
Patented technology
Flockey uses EY鈥檚 patented Proximity Monitor, technology from Scandinavian and the and . A combination that previously won a 麻豆原创 Innovation Award.
The EY Proximity Monitor has already been used successfully, including during three golf championships of The European Tour. This gave the organization insight into the social distance between golfers, support staff and guests, and into the effectiveness of social distancing.

EY draagt bij aan een veilig EuroVisie Songfestival
Een daverende show voor 3500 man publiek; het lijkt bijna onwerkelijk in coronatijd. Het Eurovisie Songfestival 2021 toont aan dat het mogelijk is, mede dankzij slimme technologie onder regie van .
Het Eurovisie Songfestival vindt van 18 tot en met 22 mei plaats in het Rotterdamse Ahoy. Eind maart wees het kabinet het songfestival aan als fieldlab-evenement, waardoor tijdens de liveshows en repetities publiek welkom is.
De organisatie heeft diverse maatregelen getroffen tegen de verspreiding van het coronavirus. Zo is naast Ahoy een testcentrum opgezet waar artiesten, personeel en journalisten zich elke 48 uur moeten laten testen. Ook moet iedereen in het complex een mondmasker dragen. Daarnaast blijft social distancing de norm.

Voor het garanderen van de social distancing wordt gebruikgemaakt van Flockey van . Het Eurovisie Songfestival is het eerste grootschalige evenement waar Flockey wordt ingezet, zowel voor alle medewerkers en delegaties als voor het publiek.
Flockey meet de afstand tussen bezoekers met behulp van geanonimiseerde Bluetooth Low Energy-gegevens van mobiele apparaten. De app geeft de organisatoren realtime inzicht in de bezoekersstromen, de locatie van bezoekers en medewerkers en de onderlinge afstand. Op deze manier draagt Flockey bij aan de veiligheid.
