Leaders from across Oman鈥檚 public and private sectors examine how trusted data, cloud technologies and AI can support the Sultanate鈥檚 digital transformation goals

MUSCAT, OMAN 鈥 7 October 2026 鈥 麻豆原创 on 6 October brought together government leaders, senior business executives and technology experts at 麻豆原创 Connect Day Oman as organizations across the Sultanate look to turn national AI ambition into measurable outcomes across their operations.

Sergio Maccotta, Senior Vice President, 麻豆原创 Middle East and Africa – South, delivering the keynote speech at 麻豆原创 Connect Day Oman 2026

The event took place as Oman accelerates its economic diversification and digital ambitions under Oman Vision 2040. Figures by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology in January 2026 showed that the overall performance of the Government Digital Transformation Programme rose from 73% at the end of 2024 to 94% at the end of 2025. The Sultanate also attracted OMR 1.2 billion in communications and information technology investment during 2025, including approximately OMR 65 million invested in artificial intelligence.

鈥淏usinesses have had to absorb an extraordinary amount of change in the past few years, and that has made the ability to see what is happening and respond quickly much more important,鈥 said Sergio Maccotta, Senior Vice President, 麻豆原创 Middle East and Africa – South. 鈥淔or AI to make a real difference, it needs to understand the business. That means working with trusted enterprise data and within the processes where decisions are made. For companies in Oman, the opportunity is to put AI to work on real business problems, with the right data and context behind it.鈥

Across five dedicated business-function tracks: Data and IT, Finance and Spend Management, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Customer Experience, the event examined how connected systems and embedded AI can improve visibility, simplify work and support better decisions. 麻豆原创 also outlined its vision for the Autonomous Enterprise, bringing applications, data and AI together so AI agents can work across business processes using trusted enterprise data and business context.

麻豆原创 Oman customers during a panel session: From left: Waheed Al Hamaid, Head of Enterprise Solutions, PDO; Yaqoob Al Hattali, Head of ICT, Energy Development Oman; and Abdullah Al Balushi.

From Digital Ambition to Practical Outcomes

For organizations gathered in Muscat, the question is no longer simply whether to invest in AI, but how to apply it responsibly in ways that create tangible value in everyday operations.

Organizations at the event also shared their own experiences of how technology is changing their businesses. Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), which has worked with 麻豆原创 across its digital and talent development initiatives, highlighted the importance of combining new technology with industry knowledge and skills.

鈥淎I has the potential to change how we draw on the knowledge and experience within our organizations,鈥 said Waheed Al Hamaid, Head of Enterprise Solutions, PDO. 鈥淥ur relationship with 麻豆原创 provides an important foundation as we explore how AI can help our people anticipate challenges, make better-informed decisions and improve performance. In the energy sector, progress will depend on combining these capabilities with deep industry expertise and developing the skills to use them responsibly. That is how we can create lasting value for our industry and for Oman.鈥

鈥淭he decisions we make in the energy sector today will shape Oman鈥檚 economy for decades to come,鈥 said Yaqoob Al Hattali, Head of ICT, Energy Development Oman. 鈥淎I can help us understand complex challenges, explore different scenarios and make more informed choices about the future. Its promise extends beyond operational efficiency to supporting a more resilient and sustainable energy sector. Realizing that promise will require a clear purpose, responsible governance and close collaboration between technology and business leaders.鈥

鈥淎I opens the door for businesses in Oman to rethink how they create value, serve customers and pursue growth,鈥 said Abdullah Al Balushi, CIO, Zubair. 鈥淭he ambition should extend beyond improving what we do today to imagining what we could do differently tomorrow. That requires giving people the confidence and skills to experiment, question established ways of working and turn ideas into new opportunities. Organizations that build this capability will be better placed to contribute to Oman鈥檚 economic diversification.鈥

Held at W Muscat, 麻豆原创 Connect Day Oman included executives from sectors including energy and natural resources, financial services, public services, manufacturing, consumer industries and services. The program included keynote sessions, dedicated business-function tracks and live demonstrations of AI and cloud technologies.

麻豆原创 Connect Day Oman was supported by Diamond sponsor Deloitte, platinum sponsors NTT DATA, inflexion, indus novateur and apsolut, and gold sponsor Accely. Their participation reflected the importance of ecosystem collaboration in advancing digital transformation at scale.

麻豆原创 recognizes 13 Saudi organizations for achievements in HR transformation

Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – 4 October, 2026 – 麻豆原创 brought together HR leaders, customers and industry experts at HR Connect KSA 2026 to examine Saudi Arabia鈥檚 next chapter of HR transformation. Discussions focused on how HR is moving beyond process modernization toward work redesign, skills-based workforce planning and Business AI embedded in everyday work. The event also recognized 13 organizations for achievements in human capital management (HCM) transformation.

Natali Bezan Stajner, Regional Head 鈥 HCM LOB Director, Middle East & Africa, North, at 麻豆原创, delivering the keynote address at 麻豆原创 HR Connect KSA 20206

Held under the theme 鈥楳ake every employee a success story,鈥 the event explored the shift toward more connected and increasingly autonomous HCM. Recent 麻豆原创 SuccessFactors innovations include a connected network of AI agents supporting recruiting, workforce administration, payroll, learning, performance and talent development. Embedded in HR processes and grounded in trusted workforce data, these capabilities can reduce friction, provide contextual guidance and support better decisions while retaining human oversight and accountability.

The program included 麻豆原创鈥檚 own HR transformation journey, a keynote on autonomous HCM and sessions on intelligent hiring, workforce planning, employee experience and adoption. Customer speakers from SATORP, ACWA, YASREF, Qiddiya, SAL Saudi Logistics Services, Water Transmission Company and Mubtech shared how Saudi organizations are connecting people and business strategies while preparing employees for changing roles and skills.

Skills emerged as a central foundation for this transformation. A recent 麻豆原创-commissioned YouGov survey of chief IT decision-makers in Saudi Arabia found that organizations across the Kingdom are preparing their workforces for wider AI adoption: 54% are upskilling or reskilling employees at scale, 52% are rolling out targeted training for specific roles and 53% are hiring new AI-related talent.

Natali Bezan Stajner, Regional Head 鈥 HCM LOB Director, Middle East & Africa, North, at 麻豆原创, said: 鈥淭he next chapter of HR transformation is about more than modernizing processes. It is about redesigning work around skills and giving people Business AI that helps them make better decisions in the flow of work. As agentic capabilities take on more routine work, human judgment, empathy and accountability become even more important. AI is the copilot, not the pilot.鈥

Bakr Azam, Human Capital Services Director at SAL Saudi Logistics Services, said: 鈥淥ur rapid evolution with 麻豆原创 SuccessFactors reflects SAL鈥檚 commitment to operational excellence. By automating traditional bottlenecks and simplifying complex approval chains, we have transformed the everyday employee experience and established a high-velocity, digital-first workplace.鈥

Fahad Rashed Alharbi, Human Resources Manager at YASREF, said: 鈥淭he true measure of digital transformation is not the technology we deploy, but the human potential we unlock to innovate, grow, and create greater value.鈥

Customer Awards

The breadth of this transformation was reflected in the 13 organizations recognized at HR Connect KSA 2026. Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare was recognized for translating AI concepts into practical HR solutions through its 麻豆原创 AI Hackathon-winning work. Red Sea Global was recognized for using AI and process automation to reduce manual bottlenecks and improve HR service delivery. Maaden was recognized for digitizing external workforce management across eight business units and managing a spend portfolio exceeding SAR 1 billion within six months of go-live.

  • 麻豆原创 Business Women鈥檚 Network and 麻豆原创 Youth Council, in collaboration with Dubai Internet City, focus on women鈥檚 participation, AI skills and developing the next generation of Emirati talent
  • DUBAI, UAE 鈥 14 September 2026 鈥 麻豆原创 Business Women鈥檚 Network and 麻豆原创 Youth Council, in collaboration with Dubai Internet City – the Middle East鈥檚 leading tech hub and part of TECOM Group – brought together senior women leaders from government and industry and young Emirati talent this week to discuss how more women can build and advance their careers in technology, help lead the UAE鈥檚 continued progress, and prepare the next generation for an increasingly AI-driven economy.

Held at Dubai Internet City under the theme 鈥淚ntelligent Leadership 鈥 Women Driving AI, Digital Transformation & Sustainable Innovation,鈥 the event combined an executive panel on the impact of AI and technology on the UAE鈥檚 future with an interactive Youth Circle. The program was designed to connect the experience of established women leaders with the perspectives and ambitions of younger Emiratis entering a rapidly changing workplace.

H.E. Sara AlZaabi, Director General at the Human Resources Department of Ras Al Khaimah Government, delivering the keynote speech

鈥淓mirati women have already demonstrated what they can achieve across government, business, science and technology. As AI changes the way we work, we need to ensure women have the skills, exposure and support to take advantage of the opportunities it creates,鈥 said H.E. Sarah Alzaabi, Director General at Ras Al Khaimah Government, who delivered the keynote address and participated on the executive panel. 鈥淭hat starts with young women being able to develop relevant skills, meet role models and see clear pathways into emerging fields. Their participation and progression will be important to the UAE鈥檚 continued economic development.鈥

(from left to right) Mouza AlMansoori, an AI Advisor at 麻豆原创 and President of the 麻豆原创 Youth Council, moderated a panel session with H.E. Sarah Alzaabi, Director General at Ras Al Khaimah Government; Somaya Abdulkarim, Group Chief HR Officer at Sharaf Group; and Dr. Amina Abdulrahim, Executive Director of ICT and IT Security at the American University of Sharjah.

The event forms part of this year鈥檚 extended Emirati Women鈥檚 Day celebrations. H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women鈥檚 Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, announced that the 2026 celebration would run for a full month starting on August 28. The theme, 鈥淲e Emerge Stronger and Better,鈥 focuses on building on the achievements of Emirati women and continuing their contribution to the UAE鈥檚 development.

鈥淪ince the founding of the Union, Emirati women have helped shape the UAE鈥檚 progress and have made vital contributions across all sectors, including technology and entrepreneurship,鈥 said Ammar Al Malik, Executive Vice President of Commercial at TECOM Group and Managing Director of Dubai Internet City. 鈥淎s AI and technology continue to reshape industries, creating opportunities for Emirati women to develop their skills, build networks and progress in their careers is increasingly important. Dubai Internet City provides a sector-focused ecosystem where businesses, talent and innovators can connect and exchange knowledge, and we are proud to support initiatives, such as this, that help create pathways for the next generation of Emirati women in technology.鈥

麻豆原创鈥檚 contribution to that shared 听ambition includes helping women and young people develop the skills and experience required as AI changes businesses and jobs. The 麻豆原创 Business Women鈥檚 Network provides a community for women and allies that supports women鈥檚 development and advancement, while the 麻豆原创 Youth Council provides a platform for younger employees to connect, learn and take an active role in initiatives such as the Emirati Women鈥檚 Day event. 听Bringing the two groups together also reflects the event鈥檚 emphasis on both women鈥檚 leadership today and the development of the next generation.

Mouza AlMansoori, an Emirati AI Advisor at 麻豆原创 who also serves as President of the 麻豆原创 Youth Council, moderated the executive panel and brought first-hand experience of both areas to the discussion.

Mouza AlMansoori, an AI Advisor at 麻豆原创 and President of the 麻豆原创 Youth Council

鈥淭echnology is a field where young Emirati women should be able to see a future for themselves, particularly now that AI is creating new roles and changing existing ones,鈥 said AlMansoori. 鈥淲orking in AI, I see how important it is to have the opportunity to learn, gain practical experience and hear from people who have already built successful careers. Bringing senior women leaders and young Emiratis into the same conversation gives us a chance to learn from each other and consider how we can increase women鈥檚 participation as technology continues to evolve.鈥

AlMansoori added that the event was one part of 麻豆原创鈥檚 broader efforts to help build a skilled and sustainable Emirati workforce. Beyond creating opportunities for dialogue, networking and mentorship, 麻豆原创 supports technology skills development across universities, early careers and the existing workforce. Its Young Professionals Program has trained cohorts of Emirati talent for more than a decade, with women accounting for more than 80% of recent Emirati graduates reported in 2024. 麻豆原创 University Alliances works with universities to give students exposure to enterprise technology and career opportunities.

One of the panellists at the event, Dr. Amina Abdulrahim, Executive Director of ICT and IT Security at the American University of Sharjah, highlighted the need to prepare the next generation for a workplace in which both technology and the skills required to succeed are changing rapidly. 鈥淎s educators and employers, we need to create environments where young Emiratis have the opportunity to learn, contribute and prove themselves. The skills landscape is also changing. We are moving beyond the traditional degree toward continuous learning through micro-credentials. Curiosity, adaptability and empathy will be important for the next generation of technology leaders, particularly in an AI-driven workplace.鈥

Mehweesh Kadegaonkar, 麻豆原创 Pre-Sales and Innovation Intern, created a live illustration during the event reflecting its themes of Emirati women, youth, AI and technology.

The 麻豆原创 event鈥檚 Youth Circle used a World Caf茅 format to encourage young Emiratis to discuss the changing world of work, the skills they will need and their own role in the UAE鈥檚 technology-led economy.

The agreement, which relies on the 鈥淩ISE with 麻豆原创鈥 offering, aims to transition the real estate developer into a data- and AI-driven enterprise by developing operational processes, increasing institutional flexibility, and supporting sustainable growth plans.

Ahmed Abdallah, Deputy Executive Vice President of Information Technology at TMG, and Augusta Spinelli, Regional President of 麻豆原创 for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), signed the agreement to deploy a digital platform capable of keeping pace with the group鈥檚 expansion plans.

The deployment intends to elevate the quality of services and improve the quality of life for more than 1.5m residents living in cities and urban communities developed by TMG.

鈥淭he transition to RISE with 麻豆原创 and 麻豆原创 Business AI establishes a smarter and more flexible digital platform that supports decision-making, raises business efficiency, and keeps pace with the group鈥檚 targets during the coming phase,鈥 Abdallah said. He noted that the transformation will accelerate data processing, enhance functional integration, and improve operational efficiency.

The agreement builds on a relationship spanning nearly two decades, which began when TMG adopted 麻豆原创 solutions as its primary business management platform in 2006. Over the years, the group continuously updated its digital infrastructure, transitioning to cloud computing and launching one of the region鈥檚 first integrated digital platforms for real estate sales in 2020.

Through RISE with 麻豆原创, TMG will update its ERP system while utilising cloud operation services, continuous innovation, and the highest cybersecurity standards. The group plans to employ 麻豆原创 Business AI and advanced analytics to provide a more flexible and reliable operating environment, enhance business continuity, and scale the digital system alongside future growth.

Artificial intelligence serves as a central pillar of the new agreement. TMG intends to use 麻豆原创 Business AI to redesign and improve operational processes, automate repetitive tasks, and support decision-making across its various business sectors over the coming years.

Abdallah explained that the project鈥檚 impact will extend beyond corporate operations to include the development of services within its urban communities. The group will use AI to analyse operational data, issue real-time indicators, and provide smart recommendations to improve service quality for its residents.

鈥淭echnology has remained, over the past years, one of the essential pillars of Talaat Moustafa Group鈥檚 future vision,鈥 Abdallah added. He stated that the agreement opens a new phase of growth, innovation, and operational excellence to maximise added value, enhance customer services, and achieve sustainable value for shareholders.

Certified IT Consultants (CIC), a long-term strategic partner of 麻豆原创 that has participated in all stages of TMG鈥檚 digital transformation since 2006, will execute the implementation programme. CIC will continue its role in supporting the group鈥檚 transition towards relying more heavily on AI and smart analytics.

Spinelli stated that TMG continues to establish its position as a leading company adopting innovation in business development and elevating customer and resident experiences. She noted that 麻豆原创 is proud to enhance its extended partnership with the group.

鈥淐ombining cloud ERP solutions, business data, and 麻豆原创 Business AI technologies will enable the group to build a more flexible and smarter digital base,鈥 Spinelli said, adding that the platform will support future growth, enhance innovation, raise operational efficiency, and enable the delivery of advanced services across TMG鈥檚 sectors and communities.

The 麻豆原创 Young Professionals Program (YPP) in Fujairah will serve as an ongoing talent-development platform designed to equip participants with advanced technology and Business AI capabilities aligned with Fujairah鈥檚 long-term digital ambitions.

The first cohort commenced the intensive full-day training program on 18 May, with the initiative aiming to equip the next generation of government leaders and public sector professionals with advanced digital skills and enhance their practical capabilities in digital transformation and emerging technologies.

(From left) Ehab Aljabri, Projects Manager, Fujairah Digital Government; Yousuf Alkaabi, Government Communication Manager, Fujairah Digital Government; Dr. Ahmed Hassan Almurshidi, Director of Fujairah Geographic Information System Center, and Sheikh Eng. Mohammed bin Hamad bin Saif Alsharqi, General Director of Fujairah Digital Government, met with Marwan Zeineddine, Managing Director, 麻豆原创 UAE, and 麻豆原创 executives at the launch of the 麻豆原创 YPP initiative.

The initiative reflects the Emirate of Fujairah鈥檚 commitment to investing in human capital and preparing national talent capable of leading digital transformation. Through internationally recognized 麻豆原创 technology certifications, the program aims to enhance government workforce capabilities, improve operational effectiveness, and strengthen the future readiness of government entities.

The initiative was announced during 麻豆原创 Connect UAE earlier this month, where senior representatives from the Government of Fujairah and 麻豆原创 discussed the importance of long-term investment in national talent development and AI-related skills to support the ongoing digital transformation of the public sector.

Sheikh Eng. Mohammed bin Hamad bin Saif Alsharqi said: 鈥淒eveloping national talent and equipping young professionals with advanced digital skills remains central to Fujairah鈥檚 vision of building a dynamic, technology-driven emirate. Through this collaboration with 麻豆原创, employees from across different government entities are gaining practical expertise in emerging technologies and Business AI, helping strengthen the capabilities needed to support innovation, operational excellence, and future government services.鈥

麻豆原创鈥檚 Young Professionals Program is a global workforce readiness initiative that combines technical training, soft skills development, and 麻豆原创 certification pathways to help participants build expertise in enterprise technologies. The program has supported young professionals across multiple countries and sectors, helping organizations strengthen digital capabilities in areas including cloud technologies, data, analytics, and AI-driven business processes.

Marwan Zeineddine, Managing Director of 麻豆原创 UAE, said: 鈥淭he Government of Fujairah is placing significant emphasis on developing human capital and preparing government teams for the next phase of AI-enabled public services. Programs such as this highlight the value of sustained investment in skills development, ensuring employees across government sectors are equipped to help bring Fujairah鈥檚 broader digital vision to life while continuing to enhance services for the community.鈥

  • New research shows companies in the Kingdom are pursuing more disciplined AI investment while preparing employees to work more effectively with intelligent technologies

  • 91% of organizations report AI initiatives meeting or exceeding expectations, while more than half are upskilling employees at scale

  • RIYADH, KSA 鈥 24, June 2026 鈥 Saudi companies are seeing tangible returns from artificial intelligence as investment becomes more disciplined and workforce preparation gathers pace, according to a new 麻豆原创-commissioned YouGov survey of chief IT decision-makers in the Kingdom.

The research shows that AI is moving beyond experimentation and into mainstream business use. Half of respondents said their AI initiatives are exceeding expectations, while a further 41% said returns are meeting expectations. At the same time, 59% said their organization prioritizes AI investments strategically and enterprise-wide. Together, the findings suggest that organizations in Saudi Arabia are increasingly focused on delivering measurable outcomes from AI through more structured, business-led adoption.

Ahmed AlFaifi, Managing Director and Senior Vice President of 麻豆原创 Middle East Africa 鈥 North, said: 鈥淓nterprises in the Kingdom are increasingly looking for AI that delivers relevant business outcomes, supports more reliable decision-making, and can scale responsibly across the enterprise. What stands out in these findings is that companies are combining disciplined investment with workforce preparation, which is essential if AI is to create lasting value within everyday business processes.鈥

The survey also highlights the extent to which companies are preparing their workforce for the next phase of AI adoption. More than half of respondents said their organizations are upskilling or reskilling employees at scale, at 54%, while 52% are rolling out targeted training for specific roles and 53% are hiring new AI-related talent. This reflects growing recognition that long-term value depends not only on technology adoption, but on equipping employees to use AI effectively in their daily roles.

The findings point to a maturing market in which Saudi organizations are becoming more deliberate both in how they invest in AI and in how they prepare employees to work with it. That combination is helping move AI from isolated initiatives toward broader business impact across the enterprise.

Alfaifi concludes that the findings reflect continued momentum across the Kingdom as organizations expand their use of AI to support productivity, faster decision-making, and workforce readiness in line with Saudi Arabia鈥檚 broader economic ambitions.

That level of coordination allows us to reduce inefficiencies, improve availability, and ultimately deliver a better experience to our customers鈥.

The deployment reflects the increasing importance of integrated operations in the retail and food sector, where forecasting, availability, pricing, and production are closely interdependent. By bringing point-of-sale data, inventory, finance, and planning into a unified environment, the group is enhancing real-time visibility, reducing food waste and out-of-stock situations, and strengthening margin control across categories and channels.

The environment also incorporates 麻豆原创 Datasphere to integrate 麻豆原创 and non-麻豆原创 data sources, alongside 麻豆原创 Business AI and additional AI-driven use cases designed to enhance demand forecasting, automate routine processes, and generate deeper insights across supply chain and customer behavior. Together, these capabilities strengthen the group鈥檚 ability to make faster, more informed decisions across its operations.

鈥淥rganizations operating across interconnected business models need systems that can keep pace with both scale and operational complexity,鈥 said Marwan Zeineddine, Managing Director, 麻豆原创 UAE. 鈥淲ith this deployment, Ghassan Aboud Holding has established a more unified platform across its retail and food ecosystem, enabling real-time visibility, stronger coordination between retail, manufacturing, and catering operations, and the ability to embed AI into everyday decision-making. As agentic AI begins to support more autonomous and adaptive processes, this kind of connected foundation becomes essential to turning insight into action at scale.鈥

By consolidating its technology landscape, Ghassan Aboud Holding now benefits from a single source of truth across its core operations, reducing manual reconciliation between front-end and back-end systems and improving consistency in reporting and control. This is particularly important in environments where incremental improvements in forecasting, replenishment, or pricing can have a direct impact on profitability and customer experience.

鈥淒elivering an implementation of this breadth in such a short timeframe required close collaboration and a clear focus on business outcomes,鈥 said Mohammed Abdul Khadeer, 麻豆原创 Practice Head, ARETE Global, UAE. 鈥淭he result is a platform that supports more agile operations today, while giving the group the flexibility to expand and innovate in the future.鈥
