RIYADH, KSA 鈥� February 10, 2025 鈥� Enterprises across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have made impressive strides in preparing for effective use of Business AI, a YouGov survey commissioned by 麻豆原创 shows. The results, which were shared at this year鈥檚 LEAP event held in Riyadh, will be used to inform 麻豆原创鈥檚 efforts to expand collaboration with customers and partners in the Kingdom to create industry-specific AI solutions and use cases at its Experience Innovation Center in Khobar.

The survey examined several key factors for effective AI implementation including whether companies are operating their core business functions on the cloud, the extent of existing AI implementations, the quality of business data available, and the AI expertise of staff. Significantly, 75% of the Saudi enterprises surveyed are already hosting their core business processes on the cloud, with a further 22% planning to do so within the next 15 months. Hosting enterprise resource planning solutions on the cloud maximizes the effectiveness of AI thanks to real-time data access, scalable computing power and the ability to integrate advanced AI models seamlessly into business processes.

Another pertinent finding was that 64% of Saudi enterprises stated they were highly confident of the quality of their data, while a further 32% describe themselves as 鈥榮omewhat confident鈥�. Having accessible, high-quality data is important as AI systems rely on data to learn patterns, make decisions, and generate reliable and actionable insights.

鈥淚t is very encouraging to think that around 96% of these companies will be hosting core business functions on the cloud by the end of next year. 麻豆原创 customers moving to the cloud immediately benefit from the cutting-edge Business AI infused in our cloud solutions,鈥� says Ahmed AlFaifi, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, 麻豆原创, Middle East Africa 鈥� North. 鈥淗owever, it is important to see higher confidence in data quality, which is enabled through implementing solutions such as 麻豆原创 S/4HANA for enterprise resource planning. A further indication that KSA companies鈥� readiness to leverage the broad potential of AI is that most of those surveyed were already using AI in several business areas. The most cited was customer service, with 45% leveraging AI to support this function, followed closely by marketing and communications (42%), accounting and finance (41%), sales (also 41%), and human resources (36%). Only 10% reported that they weren鈥檛 using AI in any business areas.

Companies do, however, face some challenges in broader implementation of AI across business functions. The most cited of these were the associated costs (51%), lack of skilled personnel (47%), integration with existing systems (42%) and privacy and security concerns (41%).

In discussing these challenges, AlFaifi highlighted how embedded AI solutions were helping to make the power of AI accessible to everyone, as well as 麻豆原创鈥檚 role in delivering training in Business AI.

The growing importance of 麻豆原创鈥檚 Business AI was reflected on a global level in the company鈥檚 impressive Q4 earnings results announced towards the end of last month. RIYADH, KSA 鈥� 9 December 鈥� The Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC), wholly owned by Saudi Arabia鈥檚 Public Investment Fund (PIF), has signed an agreement with (NYSE: 麻豆原创) to become the first customer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to implement the 麻豆原创 Sustainability Control Tower. This milestone underscores SIRC鈥檚 commitment to pioneering sustainability within the Kingdom, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 and laying the groundwork for its ambitious plans to become a chief enabler of domestic carbon credits.

This partnership highlights SIRC鈥檚 commitment to pioneering Saudi Arabia鈥檚 sustainability landscape and accelerating the Kingdom鈥檚 transition to a circular economy, underpinned by 麻豆原创鈥檚 advanced technology and sustainability expertise. Building on their partnership, which began in 2022 with an initial ERP deployment, SIRC and 麻豆原创 last year signed an MOU to deepen their collaboration to support SIRC鈥檚 ambitious sustainability strategy, while also exploring how AI-infused solutions could enhance customer services and tackle industry-specific challenges.

This new agreement will see SIRC leverage RISE with 麻豆原创 to drive AI-powered, scalable operations while establishing a solid data foundation to measure and report sustainability objectives via the 麻豆原创 Sustainability Control Tower. SIRC will be able to track enterprise carbon footprints, measure sustainability metrics, and prepare for regulatory disclosures. The 麻豆原创 Sustainability Control Tower enables seamless reporting across various global frameworks, supporting SIRC鈥檚 mission to drive a sustainable economy in the Kingdom. Additionally, SIRC is leveraging 麻豆原创鈥檚 Waste Management Industry Solutions to implement an innovative approach to waste collection and treatment, further aligning with Saudi Vision 2030鈥檚 goals for sustainable environmental practices.

The event, hosted in partnership with Advantage Consultores, Microsoft, and Connecting Women in Technology (CWIT) MENA, brought together C-level HR women executives to share best practices, drive collaboration, and explore the transformative potential of AI in building DE&I initiatives that shape more inclusive workplace cultures. Participants explored how AI could enhance HR strategies, while exchanging innovative ideas to collectively advance inclusive practices in the workplace.

Keynote speaker Dr. Kate Barker, Chief Futurist from NEOM in KSA and a global people and technology advisor, commented, 鈥淎I will revolutionise DE&I by eliminating unconscious bias in recruitment, promotions, compensation, and succession planning.
