Dubai, UAE – 14 October 2026: The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in collaboration with global technology company 麻豆原创, has concluded an intensive practical training programme for 14 academic faculty members from six higher education institutions across the UAE. The programme was delivered as part of the 鈥淚ntegrating with the Economic Sector to Create Impact and Lead Change in Future Skills鈥� initiative, which aims to strengthen collaboration between universities and the technology sector, equip academic faculty with practical knowledge of rapidly evolving business solutions and artificial intelligence (AI) applications and enable them to incorporate these insights into academic curricula and programmes.

The programme is one of a series of professional development programmes for academic faculty being implemented by the Ministry in collaboration with local and international companies and institutions across a range of economic sectors. These programmes aim to facilitate the transfer of practical industry expertise into education and align academic programmes with the needs of priority sectors and future skills.

The two-day programme focused on exploring AI applications in business environments, the concept of the Autonomous Enterprise, and Agentic AI, as well as enterprise applications within the 麻豆原创 ecosystem and their implications for the nature of future jobs and the skills graduates will need.

Academic faculty members from Zayed University, Higher Colleges of Technology, Abu Dhabi University, Al Ain University, Umm Al Quwain University and Kalba University participated in the programme. The training focused on strengthening participants鈥� understanding of the transformations AI is driving across organisational processes and the skills required for the future of work. It also explored how practical industry experience and applications can be leveraged to develop academic curricula and enhance their alignment with technological developments and labour market needs. As part of the hands-on training, participants also developed an AI agent using 麻豆原创鈥檚 AI tools.

In this regard, H.E. Ibrahim Ahmed Fikri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Higher Education and Scientific Research Regulation and Governance Sector at the Ministry, said: 鈥淭his programme is one of the outcomes of the Economic Sector and Higher Education Institutions Partnership Working Group, established under the Higher Education and Future Skills Advisory Committee. It forms part of the Ministry鈥檚 efforts to establish a sustainable approach to the continuous professional development of academic faculty, based on practical training and direct engagement with real-world working environments across economic sectors. The FTA achieved the highest rating among 182 global entities that competed for the award, which recognises the acceleration of business outcomes through the effective use of 麻豆原创 solutions.

Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Mulla, Director-General of the FTA, received the global award during a meeting with representatives of 麻豆原创 at the authority鈥檚 headquarters in Dubai, in the presence of Abdulla Al Bastaki, Chief Executive Officer of the Information Technology Sector at the FTA, along with several officials from the authority and the award-granting company.

The FTA confirmed that this achievement underscores the pivotal role of the integrated EmaraTax platform, which was launched by the authority more than three years ago and continues to evolve using the latest technologies in the tax field, in cooperation with Invenio, a global consulting and information technology solutions company.

The platform serves as a benchmark for enhancing the quality and sustainability of customer services. It offers a wide range of diverse digital services, including the comprehensive Corporate Tax system, which now has more than 742,000 registrants, enabling taxpayers to manage their tax affairs with high levels of accuracy, speed, efficiency, and transparency.

Al Mulla said, 鈥淲inning this important award is the result of the efforts of the FTA鈥檚 team and its continuous pursuit of operational excellence and innovation across all areas of work.鈥�

He added, 鈥淭he FTA is implementing a comprehensive innovation strategy aimed at achieving global leadership in tax procedures and continuously enhancing the services provided by the FTA to customers. Al Bastaki said the platform has strengthened confidence in the Corporate Tax system by processing high transaction volumes with a success rate of up to 99.5 percent, while ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of tax returns during peak periods. Its services are also integrated with those provided by relevant government entities.

These services include registration, submitting tax returns, settling tax liabilities, processing tax refunds for eligible categories, submitting reconsideration requests, and completing other tax procedures.

The agreement, which relies on the 鈥淩ISE with 麻豆原创鈥� offering, aims to transition the real estate developer into a data- and AI-driven enterprise by developing operational processes, increasing institutional flexibility, and supporting sustainable growth plans.

Ahmed Abdallah, Deputy Executive Vice President of Information Technology at TMG, and Augusta Spinelli, Regional President of 麻豆原创 for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), signed the agreement to deploy a digital platform capable of keeping pace with the group鈥檚 expansion plans.

The deployment intends to elevate the quality of services and improve the quality of life for more than 1.5m residents living in cities and urban communities developed by TMG.

鈥淭he transition to RISE with 麻豆原创 and 麻豆原创 Business AI establishes a smarter and more flexible digital platform that supports decision-making, raises business efficiency, and keeps pace with the group鈥檚 targets during the coming phase,鈥� Abdallah said. The agreement builds on a relationship spanning nearly two decades, which began when TMG adopted 麻豆原创 solutions as its primary business management platform in 2006. Over the years, the group continuously updated its digital infrastructure, transitioning to cloud computing and launching one of the region鈥檚 first integrated digital platforms for real estate sales in 2020.

Abdallah explained that the project鈥檚 impact will extend beyond corporate operations to include the development of services within its urban communities. The group will use AI to analyse operational data, issue real-time indicators, and provide smart recommendations to improve service quality for its residents.
