Partnership expands 麻豆原创鈥揝RH education collaboration to India, embedding 麻豆原创 learning and certifications into university programmes to build a future-ready enterprise technology talent pipeline.

Bengaluru, March 18, 2026: 麻豆原创 Labs India and SRH University Germany today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand their strategic education partnership to India. The agreement establishes a framework for curriculum co-design, 麻豆原创 Certification integration and industry-embedded learning, strengthening collaboration between academia and enterprise technology leaders to prepare the next generation of digital talent.

The MoU was signed in Bengaluru by Sindhu Gangadharan, Managing Director, 麻豆原创 Labs India, and Dr. Thorsten Bagschik, Managing Director, SRH University, as part of the official Berlin Senate delegation visit to India.

The partnership builds on the 麻豆原创鈥揝RH collaboration launched in Germany in December 2025 under the leadership of Andre Bechtold, President 麻豆原创 Industries and Experiences, and extends the initiative to India, giving Indian students access to globally recognised enterprise technology credentials while embedding 麻豆原创 expertise directly into university programmes.

The initiative reflects 麻豆原创鈥檚 broader learning transformation strategy, which focuses on meeting learners where they already are by integrating industry-relevant skills into academic environments. 麻豆原创 aims to equip 12 million people with AI-ready skills by 2030, and collaborations with universities play an important role in building a strong global talent pipeline.

As part of the partnership, higher education students and faculty members will receive free access to 麻豆原创 Learning Hub, student edition, including 麻豆原创 learning content, practice systems, live sessions and up to two certification exam attempts per year. 麻豆原创 is also redefining certification through practical, AI-enabled assessments that focus on real-world problem solving rather than memorisation, enabling learners to develop skills that are directly applicable in enterprise environments.

By integrating 麻豆原创 learning content and certification pathways directly into university programmes, the initiative will help build a sustainable pipeline of enterprise technology professionals equipped with the skills required to support digital transformation across industries.

Hackfest 2024, a hallmark event in the technology and innovation landscape, spanned from March to July, involving a series of rounds that saw a record-breaking participation of 12,500 students from 110 universities spread across 10 Indian states. Dr. Saravana Kumar, Principal of PSG Institute of Technology, emphasized the educational aspect: 鈥淪tudents and faculty learn about the latest technology and expand their skills to apply them in the industry in a valuable manner.鈥 To apply the skills, Ferose VR, Head of the 麻豆原创 Academy for Engineering, underscores a crucial philosophy in technological development: “Always measure the success of the product in terms of its impact on people鈥檚 lives.”

Celebrating Impact

The finale of Hackfest 2024 was a thrilling competition among 93 teams evaluated by a panel of 30 experts. The top 10 teams underwent further scrutiny by the Hackfest Core Team, ultimately determining the final top three winners. Teams from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Rajalakshmi Engineering College, and Chandigarh Engineering College – CGC, Landran, Mohali, were celebrated for their innovative and impactful solutions. A green survey tool using for Green Credit Management won first place. The 2nd prize was awarded to crowdsourced disaster management using a LoRA network, followed by a smart robotic arm using AI and image recognition for rescue management in the 3rd place.

Students reflected on their transformative experiences: “We worked for more than just an idea for any business or start-up. We worked for the environment,” while another remarked, “It was not easy, but we pushed through. We all worked together to make this success happen.”

Dr. Mohan Ram, Secretary, PSG Institute of Technology, shared that every student gains something from the event: “Every moment of this hackathon offered an opportunity to learn. This is a powerful mantra that our students will also take with them after the event to apply for other situations in life.”

Looking Forward: Hackfest 2025

Hackfest 2024 was already a huge success, and 麻豆原创 and PSG iTech are incredibly grateful for the support of many volunteers. The event’s听success was only possible due to the dedication of 1,250 student volunteers, 375 faculty volunteers, 550 jury members, and 30 麻豆原创 experts.听

In just over three years, we have grown a student community to 12,500 students. “The gender empowerment that I鈥檓 witnessing in my personal life, is being mirrored in my professional sphere as well.”

For all those cynics who believe that equality between men and women is an elusive goal, please look around you. Chances are, you will find women who are quickly鈥攁nd quietly鈥攔eversing the historical trend in every public sphere, be it technology, sports, IT, health, politics or fashion. Women who have turned 鈥榦bstacles鈥 such as age, domesticity, and class, into enablers. We would all agree that the victories women have achieved have been substantial. The question is, are they enough?

As the value of a highly skilled and diverse workforce continues to grow, there鈥檚 also increasing awareness on how we, as a society, need to create more equal opportunities. The notion of the male offspring as the 鈥榞har ka chirag鈥 has no place in an equal world. I am doubly blessed to have two daughters, who stand tall, shoulder to shoulder with their peers and teams 鈥 both at home and in school and now as they embark on their professional journey. No challenge is too big for them to handle, and no situation too daunting.

The gender empowerment that I鈥檓 witnessing in my personal life, is being mirrored in my professional sphere as well.

I am truly proud of being a part of 麻豆原创 India where 25-30 percent of senior leadership positions are held by women, purely succeeding through their skills, intellect, hard work, and merit. In fact, many of our initiatives have been directed at encouraging an equitable workplace, by enabling equality as a human right. At 麻豆原创 India, we have always believed that the power of knowledge and intellect is a cornerstone for empowerment. Our internship opportunities enable young women and men to gain exposure of the real world and traverse through an excellent learning curve. The 鈥楤ack to Work鈥 program we were the 1st ones to introduce in India is aimed at women who are planning to re-enter the workforce 鈥 to facilitate them with a smooth transition and return – to the corporate world.

While dismantling the barriers lurking in the corridors of power, we are also working towards extending this commitment to the larger ecosystem out there. After all equity is as essential as equality, and for that, efforts need to trickle to the bottom of the barrel.

We have been supporting girl children and women through various touchpoints like education and skilling and making concerted efforts to eliminate gender inequality right at the grassroots. Quality education integrating STEM and digital inclusion are keys to enabling underprivileged girl children counter gender inequality. That is exactly what 麻豆原创 India鈥檚 Code Unnati does. The emphasis of this program as the word 鈥楿nnati鈥 means is on prosperity, empowerment, and development. It is our flagship initiative, a corporate-to-citizen collaboration which offers literacy in digital and IT skills to foster digital inclusion in India. The beauty of the program is it is an inclusive corporate to corporate initiative in partnership with Larsen & Toubro, ITC, Mahindra & Mahindra expanding it with Project Nanhi Kali. We have also launched a joint skilling program called TechSaksham in partnership with Microsoft for Underserved Young Women, authorizing them to build careers in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, web design, and digital marketing. A mindset change and a coordinated effort at the grassroots goes a long way in fostering gender equality to materialize at home.

The fact of the matter, however, remains, that no one organization or individual can turn the tide alone. Collective action is the key to enduring change. There is a dire need to pool in the collaborative strength of corporate and large players of every industry to ring in change at the national, regional, and local levels. If companies can make grassroots activism as one of their agenda, there is no reason why we can鈥檛 achieve equality for the sustainable development of our great country.

As a father of two, I would like my daughters to flourish in an equal land, where disparity and discrimination based on gender lies far behind us as a relic of the past, which is exactly what it is. The future of our proud nation should be built equally on the shoulders of women and men alike. It will only be then, that the nation will march forth to claim the greatness that has always been expected of her.

I believe that Education, arguably, is one of the most important and enabling imperatives for achieving goals under UN SDGs. It is needless to mention that COVID 19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns have significantly impacted the digital inclusion or education and learning of school children.

As per UNICEF, schools for 168 million children globally were closed almost for a year during COVID 19 lockdown. In 2020, 247 million students were adversely impacted due to the closure of 1.5 million schools in India. Online education is not an option but has been adopted as an alternative to continuing with education. However, in most instances for schools and communities, lack of access to digital devices, laptops, or mobile phones and the capacity and availability of teachers also negatively impacted the learning opportunities for students.

Digital Inclusion

A Bustling Slum and (lack of) Education Opportunities

Paul Marriott, President, 麻豆原创 APJ, recently visited one of the schools in Dharavi, for an immersive experience with the students in the school. He was warmly welcomed with听Lavani,听a traditional folk dance of Maharashtra, by the students. During the visit, he interacted with the young minds and talked about the importance of digital education, and enthusiastically participated in the conversations about their dreams, aspirations, and challenges facing the students.听

This visit gave me the wonderful opportunity of interacting with the students in a public school in Dharavi, the largest slum in Asia. Despite the community living in the ill-lit, poorly ventilated & congested households, and filthy roads, there are journeys and stories of grit and determination of young and aspirational minds hidden in corners of the slum- looking for an opportunity and access to quality education and a future that promises to be brighter.

The hope of becoming an engineer, a doctor, and a teacher, was shattered as the pandemic led to the shutdown of classes and schools. There has been a lack of access to learning opportunities. The shift to online delivery of education made the situation even worse as students had no access to digital infrastructure and were left behind with the rest of the students who had access to digital means to access education.

Digital Inclusion Paving the Way Forward

From what I have experienced, Dharavi has endless stories of transformation and has shown the potential to bring change in the lives of its people. One such transformation story is of “Sant Kakkaya Marathi School, Dharavi”, which realized how the pandemic has adversely affected the education in Dharavi and considering the importance of Digital education. The school has been equipped with access to digital means (providing students with AI-enabled tablets) and the teachers from their community, and the school is on its way to adopting National Education Policy 2020. Providing access to digital means, pedagogy, content, and trained resources from the community are enabling the students and schools towards much experiential learning, increased enrolment, and reduction in dropouts.

The school is changing the lives of underprivileged students especially girls by bridging the digital divide through digital education, along with unique pedagogy. The school has established the digital infrastructure ensuring access to quality education through digital technology and focuses on building foundational & language skills, mathematical numeracy, and imprint science education. The public school is surely igniting the passion for becoming teachers, engineers, doctors, and lawyers among hundreds of young students.听

German IT major 麻豆原创 and Indian dairy pioneer Amul, along with a local non-government organization Pratham Infotech, has joined hands for an inclusive and sustainable community outreach development program amongst 1.5 million people in Anand, Gujarat, 麻豆原创 announced in a press release on Tuesday.

As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity, 麻豆原创 is focusing on social entrepreneurship, enablement of a skilled workforce, digital inclusion, and bridging the gender equality gap for the community, through the initiative under 麻豆原创鈥檚 flagship 鈥楥ode Unnati.鈥

Kulmeet Bawa, President, and Managing Director, 麻豆原创 Indian Subcontinent said, 鈥淭echnology can act as a catalyst in shaping India鈥檚 journey to an inclusive and sustainable economy. While urban development projects such as smart cities and futuristic mobility are reflective of this potential, the true progress of India lies in the development of her villages.鈥

鈥淥ur work with Amul is an expansion of this vision and will provide citizens with the information and tools they need to succeed. As India continues to lead global action on sustainability, collaboration like ours will also provide the critical foundation for an inclusive and resilient future in which no one is left behind,鈥 he added.

Notably, for over a decade, Amul is using 麻豆原创鈥檚 digital core ERP and supply chain solutions to digitally transform its operations.

Empowering Rural India – Amul and 麻豆原创

RS Sodhi, Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, Ltd, (Amul) said, 鈥淥ver 66 per cent of India’s population lives in rural areas. Most of the rural population who lives in India depends on agriculture, animal husbandry, and dairying for their livelihood. With an objective of inclusive and sustainable community development, Amul and 麻豆原创 has joined the project. Under the project, quality digital literacy and skill interventions training imparted to school-going children and teachers.鈥

鈥淥ur collaboration with 麻豆原创 is a step forward in bringing these rural communities into the mainstream by empowering them to hone essential future skills and turn their dreams into a reality. Our hope is that it will go a long way in nation-building and creating an Atmanirbhar India,鈥 he added.

Under the initiative, at least a lakh school-going students and over 20,000 adults including at least a fourth of the women will be given digital training across 70 villages in Anand and across six districts of Gujarat. The project will enable women to start their own small businesses.

To drive literacy and inclusion at the grassroots, 麻豆原创 and Amul have collaboratively created a digitally inclusive ecosystem that will deliver technical education and professional support in the areas of coding, English skills, and socio-economic opportunities.

Key pillars of the initiative include:

  • Coding and 21st Century Skills: To power India’s 5 trillion-dollar economy, we need to develop digitally savvy communities. This will be done by imparting digital literacy, coding, problem solving and English skills for citizens in remote villages, thus enabling adoption of New Education Policy imperatives.
  • School to Workforce transition: Will build a STEM-focused learning environment to help students in marginalised regions make a smoother transition to the workforce and enhance job opportunities. It will also reduce school dropouts, improve learning, and create an employable talent pool by encouraging critical reasoning and analytical thinking.
  • Women empowerment and entrepreneurship: Women in rural areas are finding more entrepreneurial opportunities thanks to the growing digital world. Over 20,000 young women will be taught in digital-financing skills and functional communications as part of “Employable 21st Century Skills,” with the goal of strengthening support for the social business sector and achieving gender equality.
  • Support Farmer Livelihoods: The outreach will help scale community ownership & participation under Build, Operate, Transfer Model of sustainable development. By planting fruit-bearing saplings, the companies will help improve biodiversity, reduce soil erosion, and increase green cover, thus enhancing support to the livelihood of farmers and their families.

According to a听听conducted by Nasscom and Indeed, around 70% of IT organizations are attempting to make the hybrid model work. Working remotely increased employee satisfaction for 66 percent of respondents, according to the survey. Complementing these findings is a study by McKinsey, which found that employees want at least听听of remote work- pointing to a strong push for the hybrid model. This just goes to prove that the hybrid work culture is taking the center seat in the business world.

This opens up opportunities for knowledge sharing and learning, even when working from home, which has traditionally been a challenge for younger employees who rely on older colleagues for guidance.Leaders and employees can add open (virtual) office hours to their calendars or status bars to encourage more spontaneous talks without disrupting people’s work. Anyone can phone that individual during defined time windows to bounce ideas off of them, chat about a problem they’re having, or just have a pleasant check-in.
  5. Cultivate an environment听of learning:听Whether there is a pandemic or not, a manager or leader should see their primary job as assisting employees. The times today are stressful, to say the least, with a worldwide health crisis, economic uncertainty, and persistent social turmoil. Employees are under a lot of stress, and it is a leader鈥檚 responsibility to reach out. Engage in socially distant conversations with co-workers and one-on-one video calls with remote employees. Inquire about their specific situations, as well as their concerns. You may have done a lot of this when the epidemic first started, but you should keep checking in as things evolve.
