Integration provides public sector, regulated, and critical industries customers with powerful generative AI capabilities while ensuring data remains sovereign and secure within Canada

TORONTO, ON 鈥 February 10, 2026鈥 Today, 麻豆原创 and Cohere are expanding our partnership to deliver full-stack sovereign AI solutions worldwide, starting in Canada. This collaboration builds on our previous integration of Cohere鈥檚 frontier enterprise AI models and agentic platform, North, into 麻豆原创鈥檚 EU AI Cloud and Business Technology Platform. Together, we are advancing our commitment to providing secure, scalable, and region-specific AI solutions for global enterprises and governments.

, a subsidiary of 麻豆原创 SE, plans to integrate North鈥檚 agentic capabilities into our leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Sovereign Cloud environment in Canada. This creates a complete Sovereign AI Layer, an important solution for Canadian companies, particularly those in the public sector and highly regulated industries, who need to harness the power of AI while maintaining absolute control over their most sensitive data.

As artificial intelligence transforms every industry, organizations face the dual challenge of innovating rapidly while adhering to strict data security and sovereignty requirements. The 麻豆原创 and Cohere partnership directly addresses this by embedding Cohere鈥檚 powerful agentic automation capabilities, powered by its high performing large language models (LLMs), into 麻豆原创鈥檚 secure, Canadian-operated sovereign cloud infrastructure. This allows customers to deploy advanced AI solutions without the complexity of building and managing their own AI engineering environments, while maintaining data residency and operational control.

“Canadian organizations are at a critical juncture where they must innovate with AI without compromising on security or data sovereignty,” said Cathy Tough, Country Manager, 麻豆原创 Canada. “By integrating Cohere North鈥檚 powerful enterprise platform into 麻豆原创鈥檚 trusted sovereign cloud, we are removing the operational burden for our customers. This partnership provides sovereignty at global scale, empowering businesses and public sector entities to unlock the full potential of their data securely and drive the next wave of innovation.”

For years, organizations have been caught between the innovative potential of the public cloud and the security of on-premise infrastructure. 麻豆原创鈥檚 sovereign cloud offering was designed to resolve this dilemma, providing a complete cloud stack built to elevated security standards and fully operated in Canada. The integration of Cohere鈥檚 platform enhances this offering, delivering enterprise-ready AI that is secure by design.

“Partnering with 麻豆原创, a global leader in enterprise applications, is a natural fit,” said Francois Chadwick, Chief Financial Officer, Cohere. “By integrating our state-of-the-art enterprise AI technology into 麻豆原创鈥檚 sovereign cloud, we are providing organizations both in Canada and globally with the tools to build transformative agentic AI solutions on their own terms鈥 backed by the security, accuracy, and privacy that modern enterprises demand.”

The need for robust, integrated AI is urgent. A recent 麻豆原创 AI report revealed that while 71 percent of organizations rely on data for investment decisions, 75 percent report that incomplete data is a significant challenge. By embedding AI directly into the core 麻豆原创 applications where critical business data resides, this partnership helps customers overcome data fragmentation and build production-ready AI into their essential processes.

The future of AI is sovereign, secure, and ready to scale.

Innovation and automation are key to modernizing business processes, driving process optimization, and improving operational efficiency. By streamlining workflows and reducing manual tasks, businesses can enhance employee productivity, while offering better experiences to customers and vendors. Automation minimizes errors, speeds up operations, and frees employees to focus on higher-value tasks, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptability in a fast-changing market.

is an聽innovation platform optimized for聽麻豆原创 applications in the cloud.聽It brings together聽application development and automation,聽data and analytics, integration, and AI capabilities聽into one environment. But unleashing the true power of creating personalized experiences can require some inspiration. 麻豆原创 Canada鈥檚 BTP team hosts Hackathon鈥檚 to help our customers discover how they can make an impact in their organization.

is a Toyota Group Company who produces and distributes light and medium duty commercial trucks in Canada. The company participated an 麻豆原创 Canada BTP Hackathon to discover new ways of optimizing their S/4HANA Private Cloud solution. This was an experience unlike any other for HMC. As a newcomer to the BTP community, they were initially intimidated by BTP鈥檚 potential and everything it could offer. Unsure where to start, the team was excited to dive in and learn more about how it could benefit their business. The Hackathon provided an opportunity to work hands-on with experts in the 麻豆原创 BTP field and was something HMC couldn’t pass up on.

HMC focused their Hackathon case study on Accounts Payable (AP) automation. As the company onboarded their RISE with 麻豆原创 S/4HANA system, they were aware that AP automation was a challenge for the company. Their current AP process consumed 840 hours monthly, including data entry, approval from line of business owners, and posting and processing of payment. HMC focused their Hackathon efforts on developing an invoice automation prototype including capabilities such as vendor invoice recognition, invoice data extraction validation, approval workflows and automated posting into 麻豆原创 S/4HANA for continued AP process, that would allow them to recover approximately 600 hours of time each month.

HMC was partnered with , an 麻豆原创 system integrator partner and specialists in 麻豆原创 BTP, who helped HMC build their Hackathon prototype. SDA also gave the HMC team the confidence to explore and tackle other operational issues with an 麻豆原创 BTP solution.

Reflecting on their experience, HMC realized how much they were able to accomplish in just three days working with mostly low-code/no-code solutions. BTP was not overly technical and could be leveraged by any of their users with the right support.

鈥淭he Hackathon experience was eye-opening for our team has shown us the power and scalability of 麻豆原创 BTP,鈥 said Don Cortell, IT Manager, HINO Motors Canada. 鈥淲e are now scoping out our prototype including identifying opportunities for further enhancements, and we are excited to continue developing our prototype into a full-scale production solution.鈥

HMC鈥檚 advise to another team looking to participate in a BTP Hackathon: diversify your hackathon team, bring in people from outside your IT team. For example, HMC brought someone from their finance team who could help address finance process specific questions in real time.

鈥淲e worked hard to make the most of the opportunity,鈥 continued Cortell. 鈥淲e are confident that the lessons learned from this experience will continue to benefit our business as we move forward with our 麻豆原创 BTP solutions.鈥

How AI Makes it Easier to Bring Your Holiday Meal to the Table /canada/2023/12/how-ai-makes-it-easier-to-bring-your-holiday-meal-to-the-table/ Tue, 12 Dec 2023 19:16:26 +0000 /canada/?p=2861 For most people, the holidays are a time of joy (and maybe also a little stress) as they get ready to share a meal with...

For most people, the holidays are a time of joy (and maybe also a little stress) as they get ready to share a meal with family and friends. But for retailers who need to accurately predict inventory needs, orders, and get all the different components of those holiday meals for our table, it鈥檚 even more stressful.

A typical holiday meal might include protein, fruits, vegetables, breads, dairy, sweets, and drinks. But that鈥檚 just what we consume. The entire experience requires a lot more. It takes ingredients for each course, paper products for decorations, and packaging to hold everything together. It also takes energy in the form of oil, gas, and electricity to move everything and get it to your table.

It’s not just one supply chain, it鈥檚 many. Working backwards from the table, we鈥檝e got farms, factories, warehouses, and distribution centers in a complex web of having the right products in right places, and at the right times.

Getting all of this right requires an intelligent planning process that starts many months out. And even if everything does go right, a single disruption, whether it鈥檚 local, like an unseasonable storm, or global, like a geopolitical crisis, can prevent families from having what they want when they need it.

Businesses have made progress at anticipating customer needs and predicting variables in order to be more prepared during high volume times like the holidays. They have better tools that help them track products from farm to fork, but also incorporate patterns in customer demand.

They have even started to factor in sustainable practices. But as the pandemic taught us, intelligent systems are paramount to being able to navigate the unexpected. New technologies like generative AI are starting to allow all new scenarios at an accelerated pace. Combined with more traditional AI and machine learning solutions, they鈥檙e already making supply chains more resilient 鈥 and we鈥檙e just scratching the surface.

According to , implementing AI-enabled supply chain management solutions has already allowed those early adopters to improve their logistics costs by 15 per cent, their inventory levels by 35 per cent, and their service levels by 65 per cent compared to those who don鈥檛 use them.

The number one concern we hear from 麻豆原创 customers is that they want to be future proof. They want to be resilient to all kinds of uncertainty and be able to bounce back quickly when the unforeseen happens. This is especially critical for moving products through vulnerable supply chains when their customers are counting on them. Generative AI is getting us closer.

One of the most important tools in supply chain planning is probabilistic forecasting, where companies can use data on many more variables that are changing in real time to provide planners with an even narrower range of possible outcomes.

It is already available today in its early form. But when it is infused with the power of generative AI, provided by companies like 麻豆原创 that are already deeply integrated across business processes and industries, it has the potential to finally make supply chains truly future proof.

No technology can ever remove the chaos of the holiday season. But generative AI could at least take away some of the stress associated with making sure everything is in place to pull off the perfect holiday meal.
