麻豆原创 Germany Managing Director Sven Mulder opened with a keynote and congratulated the 14 finalists for their excellent projects. To best acknowledge the quality of nominations, a “Grand Winner” was named in each category alongside the other category finalists.

To determine the winners, the 麻豆原创 Quality Management team in Germany reviewed around 100 eligible projects and invited 麻豆原创 partners to nominate their 麻豆原创 implementations at their customers.

Awards were again separated into large projects alongside smaller, faster implementations. “This allows for any type of 麻豆原创 project to be successful in the competition,” emphasized Irini Kalamaris, quality director in MEE at 麻豆原创 and head of the jury team. A third category is determined every year and for 2022 took into account the significant number of 麻豆原创 Ariba solution implementations.

“We the jury evaluate the answers of the participating projects based on the nomination questionnaire and on jury discussions with the customers,” Kalamaris explained. “There it is necessary to show to what extent the project meets the proven .”

Business Transformation Category

In Business Transformation, the jury awarded prizes to six winners this year, for projects that clearly stood out from the others in terms of quality and ambition. They include:

• Sycor GmbH, which realized its comprehensive cloud strategy on 麻豆原创 S/4HANA, 麻豆原创 Marketing Cloud, 麻豆原创 Sales Cloud, and 麻豆原创 Analytics Cloud, as well as 麻豆原创 SuccessFactors and 麻豆原创 Concur solutions with partner Walldorf Consulting AG.
• PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH WPG, which implemented an end-to-end solution for engagement management and financial processes with 麻豆原创 S/4HANA Cloud software.
• The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, which excelled in migrating more than 250 麻豆原创 systems to 麻豆原创 HANA Enterprise Cloud, covering 90% of its global 麻豆原创 systems. The partner was 麻豆原创 Consulting.
• CLAAS KGaA, which projected all processes for warehouse logistics with partner LogiPlus Consulting GmbH and implemented them with a global rollout based on 麻豆原创 Extended Warehouse Management.
• CANCOM SE, which realized the development of a future-oriented, modern, flexible, and comprehensive digital business platform with 麻豆原创 S/4HANA as the digital core with partner 麻豆原创 Consulting.
• AUDI AG, which implemented processes of E2E logistics and component production of batteries for the latest all-electric vehicle on 麻豆原创 S/4HANA with partner 麻豆原创 Consulting.

Sycor GmbH was named the grand winner of these six best among the audited major 麻豆原创 projects in Germany. The jury was impressed by the consistency throughout with which Sycor put its existing processes to the test for the cloud, demonstrating excellent methodology and project management. The project management maintained an eye on the best degree of integration and economic benefit.

Rapid Time to Value Category

The Rapid Time to Value category offers a platform for smaller innovative projects. The jury examined projects in which either the 麻豆原创 application itself or the field of application was innovative — without disregarding smart, classic projects. The best include:

• DMK Group, which used 麻豆原创 Integrated Business Planning for demand and implemented sales and operations demand planning for optimized marketing of dairy products with partner Implement Consulting Group.
• FingerHaus GmbH, which achieved comprehensive planning and control of marketing and sales activities with partner B4B Solutions using 麻豆原创 Sales Cloud with B4B add on Double-Opt In Service, 麻豆原创 Marketing Cloud, 麻豆原创 Business Technology Platform, and its connection to construction portals as well as integration with ERP and DMS systems.
• Lapp, which implemented 麻豆原创 Cash Application software with partner 麻豆原创 Consulting using machine learning technology to integrate its financial processes on an 麻豆原创 platform for the future.
• The state of Rhineland-Palatinate, which relied on 麻豆原创 S/4HANA, 麻豆原创 Integrated Business Planning, and 麻豆原创 Analytics Cloud to create a centralized logistics and supply chain process for 32 vaccination centers, a main warehouse, and mobile teams with partner 麻豆原创 Consulting.
• SABO-Maschinenfabrik GmbH, which migrated its existing 麻豆原创 ERP system to 麻豆原创 S/4HANA Cloud with partner B4B Solutions GmbH on the occasion of a spin-off.

The jury named DMK Group as the grand winner, based on excellent project management and measurable business value. The jury was also impressed by the enthusiasm — noticeable throughout the company — for making the best possible marketing of agricultural milk production of its cooperative participants the linchpin of all activities.

麻豆原创 Ariba Solutions Category

For the first time, the jury examined numerous 麻豆原创 Ariba projects in cooperation with 麻豆原创 partners. The winners are:

• Uniper SE, which with 麻豆原创 Ariba Contracts for Germany, Great Britain, Sweden, and the Netherlands, completed the last building block of its 麻豆原创 Ariba strategy in purchasing through contract management. The partner was 麻豆原创 Consulting.
• KUKA Deutschland GmbH, which achieved a new digital supplier management process with 麻豆原创 Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance with partner apsolut GmbH and integrated this with KUKA’s own MDM Business Partner process in the 麻豆原创 S/4HANA system.
• BITZER K眉hlmaschinenbau GmbH, which introduced 麻豆原创 Ariba Buying and guided buying capability with partner apsolut GmbH and achieved a new material group G/L account structure, the mapping of a service order process, including entry sheets, and the mapping of OPEX and CAPEX ordering processes.

As the grand winner, Uniper SE, once again convinced the jury with its analytical and consistent approach, achieving the most extensive implementation of its own requirements in the new solution. Again? Yes: last year Uniper won the Digital Pioneer Category of the 麻豆原创 Quality Awards with comparable excellence. In this year’s nominated project, Uniper, equipped with vast experience and with high standards, was able to set the final building block of the 麻豆原创 Ariba strategy and complete the 麻豆原创 Ariba solution suite.

The big winners of this year鈥檚 awards, which were held as a virtual event for the first time, are chemicals companies Roehm and Pfinder Chemie, energy company Uniper, and automotive supplier Kongsberg Automotive.

麻豆原创 has with the annual 麻豆原创 Quality Awards since 2006. In total, the judging panel rigorously examined more than 50 directly recommended customer projects.

The 麻豆原创 judges rated the projects based on 10 quality principles. Successful 麻豆原创 implementations are characterized above all by stringent project planning and emphasis on a rapid, cost-effective deployment that follows 麻豆原创 standards. The objective here is for projects to achieve measurable added value, shorter implementation cycles, and faster time to value. 麻豆原创 Quality Awards also aim to support the development of a network of thought leaders and to strengthen collaboration with customers and partners.

Winner in Business Transformation: Roehm GmbH

After being spun off from Evonik Industries in 2019, Roehm GmbH realigned its human resources (HR) processes. Using 麻豆原创 Cloud methodology, the team successfully implemented 麻豆原创 SuccessFactors and 麻豆原创 ERP Human Capital Management solutions in a very short time frame. The reconfiguration of the HR IT landscape enabled simplification and automation of the HR processes, resulting in significant and permanent cost savings. The digitalization of HR processes has enabled self-service scenarios for employees and increased system flexibility. The judging panel praised the rapid design phase and incremental implementation close to the system standard, which were carried out together with partners Empleox GmbH (麻豆原创 SuccessFactors) and Swiss Post Solutions (麻豆原创 ERP HCM).

In addition to the category winner, the judges were also impressed by the following finalists:

• The 麻豆原创 Sales Cloud project by energy provider badenova AG & Co. KG, together with partner Power Reply GmbH & Co. KG
• Stabilus, the expert for motion control, with its 麻豆原创 HANA database migration to 麻豆原创 HANA Enterprise Cloud on Azure, supported by 麻豆原创 Deutschland SE & Co. KG
• Stiegelmeyer GmbH und Co. KG, leading manufacturer of beds, furniture, and accessories for hospitals, nursing homes, and home care, with its project 麻豆原创 Commerce Cloud and partner B2B Solution GmbH

Winner in the Business Transformation 麻豆原创 S/4HANA: Pfinder Chemie

Pfinder Chemie, a pioneer, global market leader, and innovation partner for cavity preservation and non-destructive materials testing, implemented 麻豆原创 S/4HANA for all enterprise resource planning (ERP) processes at the company. The IT project was the main component of a project for internal company development and now helps ensure smoothly running enterprise processes worldwide. Here as well, the project was executed close to the standard, without modifications to the software, allowing the implementation to be completed within the allotted time frame and budget. For these reasons, the judges selected the customer and its partner Innovabee GbH as the winner among the finalists.

Other category finalists that achieved outstanding on-premise implementations of 麻豆原创 S/4HANA included:

• Energy company E.ON SE, the largest distribution system operator in Europe and supplier of customer solutions, with its partner 麻豆原创 Deutschland SE & Co. KG
• Pharmaceuticals manufacturer Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH with partner CNT Management Consulting
• Enercon IT Service GmbH, the largest German manufacturer of wind turbines, with its partner smartShift Technologies GmbH
• Carmaker Daimler AG聽Group with its partner 麻豆原创 Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG

Winner in Digital Pioneer: Uniper

With 12,000 employees, the portfolio of Dusseldorf-based industry giant Uniper includes large-scale installations, trading activities, and services in the energy sector in more than 40 countries worldwide. As part of Uniper鈥檚 #saplab program, the digitalization of existing financial and maintenance processes was achieved in four sub-projects, in close collaboration with 麻豆原创 ActiveAttention, with major benefits for resource-conserving handling. The holistically considered end-to-end processes, professional project management, and resulting large, across-the-board business benefits were the key factors named by the judges in their decision.

The other finalist was INDEX-Werke GmbH & Co. KG, one of the leading global manufacturers of CNC lathes. The company implemented a maintenance and lifecycle platform that utilizes intelligent technologies and 麻豆原创 Commerce Cloud, together with its partner Sybit.

According to the judges, the 鈥渦nder-staffing鈥� of this category was due not only to the low number of suitable projects, but also to the difficulty of even demonstrating the quality criteria of standard projects in the framework of innovative technologies.

Winner in Rapid Time to Value: Kongsberg Automotive

Automotive manufacturer Kongsberg Automotive migrated its HR systems from Workday to 麻豆原创 SuccessFactors software in just six months. With this step, the company standardized and optimized its central HR processes, giving its employees a modern, motivating work environment. The 麻豆原创 SuccessFactors solution enables companies to manage global workforces with a cloud-based human resources information system that covers all main HR functions. It will give Kongsberg Automotive consistent digital HR processes in the future, with uniform data for recruitment, onboarding, and performance management. It also enables the rapid, efficient creation of reports for optimized workforce planning and analysis.
